Zombie Apocalypse: Creation

As Leyan's voice appeared from behind, Xiaoyun quickly turned around, only to see all six of them standing there with their babies in their arms.

"I wasn't hiding it. Ahem, you guys finished with the pumping?"

"Yeah. You want some or what?" Yuqi jokingly asked as she swung a bottle filled with white liquid inside.

"If you don't mind it."

Xiaoyun jokingly answered back, his cheeks squished together as if he were suckling on a baby's pacifier.

"Eww."

All of his wives looked towards him with disgust. Not a single one of them laughed at it at all, not even Lily.

"Hey, I was just joking. You guys are taking it way too seriously." Xiaoyun argued as he tried to defend himself.

"That's not funny, honey. Especially given your track record——"

"Mom, can we stop talking about it? The babies are still here." Yueyue impatiently interrupted.

"My bad. Ahem, let's go put the bottle in the fridge."

As everyone went back to the living room to relax, Anna noticed today's newspaper had Xiaoyun's name on it.

"Leyan, what's the newspaper saying? Why does it have Xiaoyun's name on it?" Anna curiously asked.

"I don't know. I only read the title earlier... Probably a certain big hero at home that saved Shenzhen."

Anna quickly picked up the newspaper from the table, only to hand it over to Kate, as she couldn't read any of the content at all.

"Kate, can you translate it for me? I-I can't read Chinese."

"Sure... The headline of the day is Chen Xiaoyun, the hero who saved Shenzhen." Kate answered out loud.

"Me?"

Xiaoyun was a little surprised as he got up from his sofa before walking over to the back, standing right behind Kate to have a read himself.

It was indeed what the newspaper had, word for word. All written in bold letters, calling him a big hero.

"Today is July 16th, 2022. A day to be remembered. Mr.Xiaoyun, better known as the Governor, had adventured into the death zone all by himself."

"Xiaoyun, you did what!"

Both Leyan and Yuqi immediately stood up from the sofa in anger, with Xiaoyun ducking down to the floor, conveniently hiding behind the sofa.

"I-It was necessary to resolve it. No one else could have done it... W-Wuli can back me up on this."

As everyone turned their attention towards Wuli, they were a little surprised to see her nodding her head.

"He really was the only one who could have entered the fog without side effects... No one can last longer than a few seconds inside."

"See? I had my hands tied... Think about it, I was the only one who could create things out of thin air once in the fog to survive there."

Xiaoyun quickly made some bullshit up as he didn't want to elaborate on the actual details he had experienced inside the fog.

"You're going to need to explain yourself fully later... Kate, continue reading the newspaper."

The two of them sat back down as Yuqi's anger had already subsided, but Leyan's anger on her face remained.

"Although we couldn't get an explanation on how it was done, we were able to capture the picture of the Governor entering into the fog."

As Kate laid the paper flat onto the coffee table, everyone could see a picture of a person in a hazmat suit standing right next to Yiming.

"This you?" Yuqi questioned.

"Yep."

"Do I need to continue reading it? The rest is just praises for Xiaoyun from the soldiers." Kate murmured as she gave the rest a short glance.

"Hell yeah——"

"That's good enough," Leyan murmured, interrupting Xiaoyun from letting Kat read out the rest.

"Come on, can I not hear a compliment?"

"Don't get ahead of yourself, big hero. Take a seat and tell us what happened in Shenzhen first."

Xiaoyun hesitated for a second, but seeing all of their eyes looking towards him, he folded in the end.

"Fine, fine. I'll explain everything that happened in Shenzhen..."

An hour later...

"Here, now you all happy? I told you everything I did." Xiaoyun grumpily murmured as he felt his privacy violated.

"Mhm..."

The ten of them sat in silence as all of them were still a little stunned by everything he had just said.

"You actually did all that? No bullshit?" Kate questioned, as the whole chain of events sounded like a fantasy

"I'm being fully transparent and honest right now. Everything I just said was exactly how I had to experience it."

After all of them stared at his face for a whole minute in silence, Leyan suddenly started clapping before the rest of the girls joined in.

"Good job, Xiaoyun, you're the greatest hero the town has ever had," Leyan said out loud as she continued clapping.

"The hero we all needed, stopping the fog in its tracks and saving all of us!" Yuqi added.

"Best governor of the year who deserves a massive statue, built to show his bravery and sheer determination," Yueyue added.

"Husband of the year, the one every woman envies to have——"

"Okay, okay, that's enough. You guys are making the compliment feel weird."

Xiaoyun interrupted Nami from finishing as he got a little goosebump from hearing all the compliments from them.

"I thought you wanted to hear compliments." Leyan softly asked as she looked back at him with a smile.

"Not like that."

"Then how do you want it to be like?"

Seeing all of their eyes looking towards him, a sweat suddenly appeared on his forehead as he felt a little nervous.

"Never mind, just don't compliment me."

"That can't be right. You're the big hero who saved the town. You deserve something that matches your contribution."

As Leyan scooched closer and closer to his right, all of his wivies on the sofa started scooching towards him as well.

"Wait, wait, wait. Lily and the kids are still here."

All of them stopped for a second before Leyan resumed, scooched all the way up to holding his arms.

"Lily, can you bring the kids back to the bedroom real quick? We'll be out in like an hour or so."

Lily immediately nodded, her face blushing red as she signalled the four babies to follow her before grabbing Wenwen and Bingbing from the crib.

With her gone from the living room, they all turned their attention towards Xiaoyun once again.

"Our big hero, are you ready for your reward from us?" Leyan asked as she sat directly on top of his lap.

"I um. I haven't had a proper sleep since yesterday. Maybe that can be my reward instead——"

Before Xiaoyun could finish talking, all nine of them rushed over his body, pinning him down completely onto the sofa.

"Too bad."

By the time Xiaoyun could leave the sofa, his face almost seemed to have aged ten years physically.

His body was beyond exhausted as all nine of his wives headed upstairs to take a shower, leaving him lying there fully naked.

"Fuck, my legs."

Xiaoyun murmured as he supported himself back up, holding onto the sofa's ledge as he shook his head a little.

Looking over to the window, the sun was already falling on the horizon, with the moon already high up in the sky.

"I need to go clean this up——"

Before Xiaoyun could wrap up the dirty towels into the basket he had just created, he suddenly heard footsteps coming from the guest hallway.

He immediately turned around, his back facing the hallway to avoid showing the mess all over his front body.

"Lily, can you come out later? I just need a few minutes to clean up the mess first." Xiaoyun murmured as he didn't turn around.

"O-Okay."

After hearing her walking back into the guest hallway, Xiaoyun quickly cleaned up the mess before putting his clothes back on.

"You can come out now," Xiaoyun yelled out loud.

As Lily came back out into the living room, she could instantly smell the weird stench coming from the sofa.

"Ahem, is there something wrong with the babies?"

"They are hungry right now," Lily replied, her face not flinching a single bit as she looked back at him right in the eyes.

"Leyan is taking a shower... Can you just use the bottles in the fridge to feed them for now?"

"Okay..."

With Lily heading over to the kitchen, Xiaoyun quickly created a bunch of isinfecting wipes, manually wiping down the sofa inch by inch.

"Do I just feed it to the baby?" Lily asked as she came back from the living room with several milk bottles in her arms.

"Yeah, just put the nozzle to the baby's mouth. They should know how to do the rest." Xiaoyun answered.

"Okay."

As the sound of the door closing traveled to the living room, Xiaoyun's hand was still busy trying to wipe away the stain caused by the towel leak.

"Couldn't they just wait for me to put a blanket over it first... Or just do it in the bed would have been so much more convenient..."
