Chapter 3: Day 3
The next day.
Mom had to go to work, so she left me with a couple of books to read. They were mainly science, math, history, and chakra theory books. There wasn't a lot I didn't already know from the math book but I learned quite a lot from the science, history and chakra theory books.
I finished reading the books in 3 hours because most of them were elementary-level books. Afterwards, I decided to do some exercise to build up my body. I went to the training ground and did a couple of laps around it. Next, I did push-ups, sit-ups and squats. I then did kind of calisthenics and flexibility exercises, to test my level. I climbed the Hokage cliff face without chakra. To test my survival skills, I started a fire, built a temporary hut in case of an emergency and tried to identify edible plants. At the end of my training, I tried some fishing and caught a couple of fish with a makeshift spear.
Mom works at the Hokage Tower. She's a secretary of the Hokage. Once she got back home, she saw me doing handstand push-ups with a puddle of sweat under me.
"Well, would you look at my little hard worker? Have you been working out all day?" She said.
"Yes Mom I have, I've actually been working out all day and I feel like I can still keep going if it weren't for my weak muscles. Is that normal?"
"Yes actually, a characteristic of our clan is our large chakra reserves and since chakra is a balance between spiritual and physical energies we had enormous stamina to balance it out and after years of intermarriage with the Senju clan the babies born after our alliance were stronger since an early age than those born before and very few showed signs of sensitivity to natural energy. I had to break the tradition though and marry an Uchiha because only Tsunade-sama was left of the Senju clan."
"No wonder, I have the blood of the three founding clans of Konoha. It's only natural that I'm so talented." I said, jokingly.
"Don't get so cocky now, plenty of talented people in our clan died because of their arrogance."
"Don't worry Mom, I'll be careful."
"That's good. Okay! I bought this on the way home from work. It's a chakra paper, although you're most likely to have an affinity with the wind element, it doesn't hurt to try." She said, pulling out a chakra paper from her pocket.
"You just need to inject your chakra into the paper and based on the reaction it makes, we'll know what affinity you're most suited for."
"Awesome." I took the paper and injected chakra into it and it immediately split in half.
"Wind element, figured. I have the wind element as well so I'll be able to teach you all the jutsu I know. "
"Great! What will you teach me first?"
"It is a simple spell, but depending on the amount of chakra you put into it. It can have a devastating effect. Let's go to the training field."
Once we got to a training field, Mom said, "Pay attention, " and did a couple of hand signs before she said the name of the justu.
"Wind style: Crescent Blade!"
'What the hell?!?! Isn't that just my spell, Cresent Kamaitachi? I thought it was just a coincidence that I reincarnated in a clan that uses wind and star magic. Is there some higher power at play here or something?' I looked at my mom and all my worries just washed away. 'Whatever, it's not that important. I'll just enjoy my life.'
"So what do you think?"
"It's awesome, let me try it."
I did all the hand signs and swung my arm. A blade of wind flew out of my arm and sliced threw a tree before dispersing. It was smaller and weaker than my mother's but it was still cool. Chakra is really different from magic and I'm excited to see what I can do with it.
"Wow first try, I had to practice for a whole day to be able to cut a tree with it and my dad called me a genius."
"I'm just that awesome," I said with a smile on my face.
"Don't get ahead of yourself big guy, this next jutsu causes damage to a wide area or disrupts other jutsu, watch carefully."
Mom made different hand signs and said, " Wind Style: Towering Tornado!"
A big tornado appeared next to a tree and nearly ripped it out of the ground. 'Really? This is just blatant copying at this point.'
"Your turn." Mom said.
"Okay, let me try," I said, trying not to laugh.
I made the hand signs and executed the jutsu. It didn't do too much damage though.
Mom looked shocked, it was funny seeing her like that.
"Wow, impressive. You're more talented than I thought." She said. "Okay, I'll show you a bunch of jutsu that I know and I want you to practice them and increase their power on your own while I'll go and make dinner."
So she went ahead and showed me all sorts of jutsu, from making inanimate objects fly into the air, to clones made of wind, pulling objects towards the user, wind bombs, a familiar jutsu that creates a bow and arrow out of wind, wind swords, and many more. I executed them all on the first try but it took a lot of time to increase their power and/or efficiency. There was a lot of jutsu and for each one, I had to make the hand signs and execute them multiple times to improve. I only went through half of them before the sunset and I had to go home.
This became our routine, I would go to the Academy and get to know Itachi better, then go home and train my physical body a little bit before mom would get home and we would have dinner and talk a little bit. She would show me some of her jutsu, and that would end the day.
With this 2 years passed and Itachi told me that he was going to graduate from the academy.
