Yu-Gi-Oh!: Transformed into a Girl, Starting with Trickstar

Chapter 62: TST [62]

Seeing Dorian freeze up, the commentator in the booth was momentarily stunned before snapping back to reality.

He had been waiting for Dorian to launch his attack, only for the boy to fall silent like a chick with its throat pinched.

To ease the awkwardness, the commentator quickly spoke:

"This is incredible…[Skill Drain]?! Who would've thought Morgan brought this card! It doesn't just negate the opponent's monster effects; it negates your own too. A double-edged sword!"

"But in this moment, it was the perfect move!"

"Morgan summoned a Normal Monster, which isn't affected by [Skill Drain]. She nullified Dorian's strongest turn with a play no one saw coming!"

Hearing the commentator's trembling voice, Viviana nearly laughed. Being shut down by an underworld strategy and watching someone else get hit by one were two very different experiences.

Given the choice, she much preferred watching others suffer.

As the explanation hit, the audience started catching on. Their understanding wasn't deep, but the commentary helped.

"[Skill Drain] can be used like that?!"

"That combo is crazy. The Witch really knows what she's doing."

"Still, it's a risky card. What if it shuts down her own monsters, too?"

The crowd was mixed, but Dorian's reaction was far more intense.

He now fully understood Eldlich's effects. And the more he understood, the more stunned he became.

Eldlich's two effects activated from the hand and Graveyard—completely unaffected by [Skill Drain]. And the Trap Monsters? They were Normal Monsters. Morgan's Deck was perfectly tailored for [Skill Drain].

'Terrifying…'

This level of precision in building around a card wasn't something an average duelist could achieve.

Cold sweat beaded down Dorian's face. He had underestimated Morgan far too much… or rather, he had overestimated himself.

To look down on an opponent you might not even beat, even if you gave it your all—that was taboo for a duelist.

Who even was she? Where did she come from?

He knew every rookie from the major clubs—there was no Morgan among them. An indie duelist with this much power and such a unique build? Impossible.

'Could she really be... the Witch?'

Dorian shivered and stole a glance at Morgan. That innocent smile now looked ominous.

He had thought opening against an indie duelist was lucky.

…Turns out, it was a curse.

Even knowing his attack would accomplish nothing, Dorian pressed on, voice strained:

"Battle! [Fossil Warrior Skull King] attacks [Guardian of the Golden Land]!"

Skull King raised its regal bone blade and slashed down, cleaving the white-furred saber-tooth tiger in half.

But Morgan didn't lose any LP. She didn't even flinch.

"I end my turn..."

Dorian said, his voice filled with defeat. There was nothing else he could do. Even summoning another monster wouldn't change a thing.

"What a shame. Dorian's attack didn't achieve anything. Morgan's turn is coming up."

"He still has a 2800 ATK monster on the field, which might slow her down—"

"But Morgan has multiple Set cards, and Eldlich is about to return with 3500 ATK!"

The commentator sighed, then burst with excitement.

He had no bias, just a love for thrilling duels—and Dorian's misstep had pushed the tension to new heights.

Back at Duel Academy Middle Division, every student was glued to the screen.

"Wow, Morgan's amazing! Even a club rookie can't beat her!"

"Of course! Morgan's my goddess!"

"Looks like all the big clubs will fight over her. Which one do you think she'll join?"

"She has to pick the best! I think Haisen would be a great fit!"

Hearing the chatter, Jade pouted. None of them were suitable. Morgan belonged at her side. If Morgan joined a club, they wouldn't see each other as often.

That would be unbearable.

She had to do something...

Wait! Her dad mentioned forming a club before—was that still on the table?

Jade's eyes sparkled at the thought.

Meanwhile, Isla was still stunned watching Morgan on screen. That Eldlich build had been assembled in an absurdly short time.

Yet Morgan had used it to beat Viviana and now dominated Dorian from the Saint King Club.

Even with coaching from a Duel King, this level was absurd... Could true genius actually exist?

Isla gawked for a moment, then smiled.

Perfect. She loved geniuses.

Back in the stadium, Morgan looked at Dorian, who had been forced to end his turn.

She chuckled.

A [Skill Drain] shutdown? She'd seen it happen plenty of times. And she wasn't about to let Dorian recover—She planned to end this duel immediately.

"My turn. Draw!"
