Yu-Gi-Oh!: Transformed into a Girl, Starting with Trickstar

Chapter 63: TST [63]

After drawing her card, Morgan immediately prepared to revive Eldlich from the Graveyard.

Skull King had an effect that could interact with her Graveyard during her turn, but now, it was nothing more than a vanillafied monster.

Still, one Eldlich wouldn't be enough to finish the duel this turn.

The key lay in Morgan's remaining back row.

Originally, she had three Set cards: [Skill Drain], [Guardian of the Golden Land], and [Eldlixir of Black Awakening], the last of which she hadn't activated yet.

Now, she had two Set cards on the field. Aside from [Black Awakening], the other had been fetched at the end of Dorian's turn by banishing [Guardian of the Golden Land] from her Graveyard—it was [Eldlixir of Scarlet Sanguine].

To revive Eldlich, she had to pick one of the two.

After a short pause, Morgan chose to forgo [Black Awakening] and activated [Scarlet Sanguine] to summon Eldlich from her Deck.

After all, [Black Awakening] only summons Eldlich in Defense Position.

Still, two Eldlichs weren't quite enough to bring Dorian to 0 LP.

However...

Morgan smiled.

She still had one more card in hand: [Eldlixir of White Destiny], and the one she had just drawn was [Cursed Eldland].

Her plan was already perfectly clear.

"I activate the effect of [Eldlich the Golden Lord] in the Graveyard! I send one Spell or Trap from the field to the Graveyard; return this card to my hand, then Special Summon it—its ATK and DEF gain 1000."

"Next, I activate my face-down: [Eldlixir of Scarlet Sanguine]!"

"This lets me Special Summon an [Eldlich the Golden Lord] directly from my Deck!"

In a flash, two identical Eldlichs appeared on the field.

Dorian was stunned. 'Two monsters like that… on the field at once?'

Luckily, Skull King still had 2800 ATK. Even if one got destroyed, he would survive with some LP left.

But Morgan's next words shattered his last bit of hope.

"You thought there were only two Eldlich?"

"I activate the Continuous Spell [Cursed Eldland] from my hand!"

"By paying 800 LP, I add the last copy of [Eldlich the Golden Lord] from my Deck to my hand!"

As she finished, her Duel Disk ejected the final copy of Eldlich.

Dorian turned pale. Eldlich's hand effect could send a card from his field to the Graveyard—And its target was obvious.

"I send [Eldlich the Golden Lord] and [Rivalry of Warlords] from my hand to the Graveyard—send your [Fossil Warrior Skull King] to the Graveyard!"

Eldlich's golden claws reached out and dragged Skull King down into the Graveyard.

Now, the only card left in Morgan's hand was [Eldlixir of White Destiny].

Dorian ran the numbers. Two boosted Eldlichs had a combined ATK of 6000.

His LP stood at 6500.

He would survive—barely—with 500 LP.

He smiled bitterly. He had believed himself unmatched in the League. And yet, in his very first match, he was being crushed by a complete unknown.

All arrogance drained from him, replaced by humble resignation.

Regardless, Morgan didn't intend to leave even that sliver of pride intact.

She hadn't come to the League to play nice. Either she eliminated her opponents, or they eliminated her.

"I activate the Quick-Play Spell [Eldlixir of White Destiny] from my hand!"

"This lets me Special Summon a Zombie monster from my hand or Graveyard. I Special Summon the last Eldlich from my Graveyard in Attack Position!"

With a burst of light, three Eldlich the Golden Lord appeared together on the field—a terrifying sight.

The arena fell silent.

No one had expected such a high-octane duel to kick off Day One… Even those unfamiliar with dueling knew the match was about to end.

Morgan's clear voice rang across the field:

"Battle! All three [Eldlich the Golden Lord]s attack directly!"

BOOM—!!!

Three strikes landed in succession, and Dorian's LP dropped to zero.

The duel was over. All the holograms on the field vanished—Dorian collapsed to his knees, eyes vacant, utterly defeated.

The victory animation played on the giant screen as fireworks erupted, and the crowd snapped out of their stupor.

The commentator snatched the mic:

"Unbelievable! The match went in a direction no one predicted! I used to be a science believer, but I might start trusting Viviana's intuition now!"

"I did say this match would be one-sided… I just didn't expect the roles to be reversed!"

"Maybe that's the magic of dueling. You never know what'll happen until it does!"

"The rest of the tournament hasn't even begun, but I already have a feeling… The Witch Morgan might just be the biggest dark horse in the entire Junior Division!"

As his voice rose to a passionate crescendo, the audience roared in unison.

And the girl they cheered for… was the small, smiling figure on the Duel Stage:

Morgan!
