Morgan knew that card well.
In her previous life, there was a common joke: any card without a "once per turn" restriction might as well be fake.
[Time Stream] was one of those cards. It could summon higher-level Fossil monsters without a once-per-turn limit. As long as you could recycle it, you could use it again and again.
And Dorian already had a way to recycle [Time Stream].
That was [Fossil Warrior Skull Bone]!
If it's in the Graveyard, it can banish itself to add a [Time Stream] from the Deck to the hand.
A classic Fossil combo.
"Using this card's effect—"
"I Tribute [Fossil Warrior Skull Bone] on the field to Fusion Summon the Level 6 [Fossil Warrior Skull Knight] from my Extra Deck!"
Skull Bone's body enlarged, as if aged by time, transforming into a skeletal knight with sword and shield.

Of course, Dorian wasn't finished. His goal was to reach his highest-ranking monster.
"Still not done! I activate the effect of [Fossil Warrior Skull Bone] in the Graveyard!"
"Banish it to add 1 [Time Stream] from my Deck to my hand!"
This was Dorian's bread-and-butter play. The audience, familiar with the combo, cheered instinctively.
Chaining two [Time Stream] activations to summon a boss monster and deal lethal damage in one turn—Dorian's signature. Many had fallen to this tactic.
The commentator's eyes lit up, his voice accelerating.
"Here it comes! Dorian's [Time Stream] chain! He's about to show Morgan the power of time!"
"Let's see the final skeleton king rise!"
He finished in one breath, then whispered to Viviana off-mic with a chuckle, "Looks like your intuition was wrong this time."
Viviana rolled her eyes.
Not even close.
In a duel, nothing is decided until the final moment.
"I activate a second [Time Stream]!"
"Tribute [Fossil Warrior Skull Knight] to Fusion Summon from the Extra Deck: [Fossil Warrior Skull King]!"
Skull Knight evolved again, growing to rival Eldlich in size.
[Fossil Warrior Skull King] Level 8│EARTH│Rock│2800 ATK
Its ATK now surpassed Eldlich!
But Dorian had no plans to destroy Eldlich. Skull King could attack twice and deal piercing damage—he aimed to go straight for Morgan's LP.
Fossil monsters also had Graveyard effects. Skull Knight's effect banished itself to destroy a monster on the field.
"I activate the effect of [Fossil Warrior Skull Knight] in the Graveyard!"
"Banish it to target one monster on the field—destroy it!"
"I destroy [Eldlich the Golden Lord]!"
Skull Knight's silhouette appeared in the Graveyard, clinging to Eldlich until the golden lord crumbled to dust.
Now, Morgan's field was empty. If both of Skull King's attacks landed, she'd take 5600 damage.
Anyhow, there was no way Morgan would take that lying down. With three Set cards on the field, she immediately flipped one.
"Activate face-down: [Guardian of the Golden Land]!"
"This card becomes a Normal Monster (Zombie / LIGHT / Level 8 / 800 ATK / 2500 DEF) and is Special Summoned to the Monster Zone!"
A crouching white-furred saber-tooth tiger appeared on her field, glowing red eyes fixed on Dorian.
"Hmph. So what if you can summon a monster? My Skull King deals piercing damage and can attack twice! You won't stop this!"
Dorian scoffed.
Suddenly, then—Morgan's LP dropped by 1000.
'What?! I haven't attacked yet!'
As Dorian stared in confusion, Morgan flipped another Set card.
'You destroyed my Eldlich?'
Morgan smirked.
'Then we're done playing nice. Let's go full-on brute force.'
"Activate face-down: [Skill Drain]!"
"Pay 1000 LP to activate! While this card remains on the field, the effects of all face-up Effect Monsters are negated."
In an instant, Dorian was stunned.
Now, Skull King's piercing damage and double attack were gone. He was just a beatstick.
All he could do was trade hits with [Guardian of the Golden Land]. And since it was in Defense Position, Morgan would take no damage.
His most explosive turn… completely neutralized by Morgan.
