You’re Supposed To Be The Villain, But You Effortlessly Win Over The Female Leads?

Chapter 48:

Chapter 48:

When Jiang Feng heard that mobile phones weren’t allowed, his eyes widened in disbelief. He clutched his phone tightly, refusing to let go.

“What? No phones? Why can’t we bring phones?” he demanded.

“It’s part of the program’s rules,” the female choreographer explained gently.

She noticed his e-book reader and added, “You can’t bring this either.”

Jiang Feng’s face fell, his frustration boiling over. “You won’t let me bring anything! Why does Jiang Nan get to bring his stack of exercise books then?”

He pointed at Jiang Nan’s box, which was half-filled with workbooks, all neatly organized. The comparison between their belongings was stark—while Jiang Nan’s box overflowed with study materials, Jiang Feng had hardly anything in his own.

In his previous life, the original owner had stubbornly refused to give up his phone, leading to a tense confrontation with the program crew. Though he eventually handed it over, the broadcast of this scene had earned him a barrage of online criticism. People thought he was spoiled, willful, and immature. With Jiang Nan beside him, bringing nothing but study materials, the contrast made Jiang Nan appear as the model child and the original owner as the troublemaker.

But now, thanks to the “sympathy” Jiang Feng had garnered earlier in the show, the crew’s attitude toward him had softened considerably. Though his temper was still sharp, and his expression sour, they spoke to him gently, fearful of upsetting him.

“Xiao Feng, it’s only for the duration of the show,” the female director coaxed. “Since Jiangnan brought books, we allow books. It’s just for half a month—it’ll go by quickly.”

She tried to soothe him, adding, “If you hand over your things now, we’ll have a special gift for you later. How does that sound?”

Jiang Feng’s ears perked up at the mention of a gift. He raised an eyebrow curiously but quickly pouted again. “I’m not a kid! You’re treating me differently!”

“…”

Li Rou was taken aback. “Discriminating?”

“Yeah!” Jiang Feng retorted confidently. “He’s got paper books, and mine are digital! E-books are more advanced than paper books. Why can he keep his books and I can’t keep mine? My e-book reader has books too!”

The program crew was at a loss for words.

It was, technically, a fair argument.

Li Rou found herself momentarily stumped. She couldn’t come up with a good response.

Meanwhile, Jiang Nan, standing nearby, saw an opportunity to shine. If the audience later saw that his box was full of academic books while Jiang Feng’s e-reader held nothing but light novels, he was sure it would boost his image.

“Xiao Feng,” Jiang Nan said with a tone of condescension, “these are my school assignments. Your e-reader is full of novels. There’s a big difference.”

He continued smugly, “It’s not good to read too many novels. The show crew is doing this for your own good. Don’t be difficult.”

Then, with a self-righteous air, Jiang Nan turned to the crew, bowing deeply as if he were performing some great act of humility.

“I apologize on behalf of my brother,” he said, his face full of false sincerity. “He doesn’t understand. I’m sorry for his behavior.”
