Chapter 150: Wizard Alliance
The expansion of the Civilization Devourer is a foregone conclusion; in such circumstances, relying solely on the power of the Wizards to resist the Civilization Devourer is clearly insufficient.
Of course, even if it were enough, Wizards would still want to involve other civilizations.
The Civilization Devourer is a threat to the civilization of the entire World Community, and we can't let just the Wizard Civilization bear the burden.
And if an Alliance is to be formed, then the handling of the Swarm Dominator will be of great use.
As a civilization defeated by the Wizards, their handling can directly influence other civilizations' views on the Wizard Civilization.
Moreover, if an Alliance is to be formed, a structure similar to a council will inevitably form.
When that time comes, if the Swarm Dominator can participate in voting, it will undoubtedly be beneficial to the Wizards—provided he is indeed cooperative.
The Swarm Dominator is no fool; when Richard mentioned the flag, he immediately guessed Richard's intentions.
The Swarm Dominator sighed, "As expected, you Wizards are truly calculating."
Upon hearing this, Richard corrected him, "That's called mutual benefit; do you really want to be trapped in a Miniature World, slowly aging to death?"
The Swarm Dominator did not answer.
Changes to the contract indeed entail great benefits for him. The mere concept of freedom is enough to make him rejoice.
As a loser, what else could he possibly ask for?
However, reasoning aside, as one of the leaders of a civilization, having his future used as a bargaining chip was indeed difficult to accept.
"So where am I headed next?" the Swarm Dominator changed the subject.
Richard waved his hand, and a Thirteen Rings self-modifying Rune Model, mixed with the Power of Dimension, appeared beside him.
"Before the contract is signed, you'll have to stay by my side."
The Swarm Dominator wiggled his antennae.
"You should know, this thing is useless to me."
As a Gestalt Creature, unless his Dimension is destroyed, he will not die, and even a sealing is futile.
For the Swarm Dominator, he is essentially a collective consciousness. As long as the sub-individuals within the Dimension continue to be produced, the Swarm Dominator will remain immortal.
Richard slightly nodded but did not remove the sealing.
"It's a matter of attitude."
The Swarm Dominator was silent, offering no resistance as Richard sealed him.
With the sealing complete, Richard looked at the Swarm Dominator, resembling amber, and placed it into the pocket at his waist.
Then, he turned toward the Elderly not far away and smiled, "It has been sealed."
After Richard spoke, Elderly's body suddenly trembled and then transformed into its most common form of black mist.
Looking at Elderly, a hint of surprise flashed in Richard's eyes.
At some point, Elderly had become a Level 5 Creature.
"Your evolution during this period isn't bad; when did you become a Level 5 Creature?"
A burst of joyful psychic waves came from the black mist, like a child flaunting their new exam results.
"Just recently, I consumed a complete King of Mayfly, and then I evolved."
Richard nodded slightly, smiling, "Not bad, not bad."
Saying this, he took out a piece of meat, emitting a faint pressure, from his pocket. The moment Elderly saw this piece, its entire body jerked violently, once again curling into a black ball.
"What's there to fear?" Richard laughed, patting the black ball. "This is the body of a Dominator. Wuxiang has become Sixth Level in Alchemy, so I can't show favoritism."
Upon hearing this, Elderly cautiously wrapped the piece of meat and then emitted an excited psychic wave.
"My Master, I smell the aura of Evolution. It won't be long before I can catch up with Wuxiang."
Richard smiled without speaking.
To him, Elderly, Wuxiang, Ulysses, and even World Mushroom, Ali, offered little combat support.
Their greatest significance lies in serving as anchors, helping him feel connected to this world.
Making him believe that everything he does has meaning.
Returning to the Secret Realm, Richard once again began to craft bodies, waiting for the return of Alchemy and Shaping Power.
...
Boom!
In the pitch-black Void, four indescribably great beings collided with each other. Just the aftermath of the collision was enough to turn a Level 6 Creature into ashes.
"World, you have already lost."
Within the Dimension, the Plastic Energy Crown, resembling a Divine being, spoke.
"Your Dimension has already completely severed ties with the Mayfly Dimension, defeat is only a matter of time.
Do you still hope for a breakthrough at the last moment like Physique Evolution?"
On the other side, the World Dominator remained unmoved, similar to the Plastic Energy Crown, with a Great World beside him.
However, compared to the Plastic Energy Crown, his world appeared slightly shrunken.
Over the past three years, he not only battled with the Plastic Power Dominator but also encountered the Civilization Devourer's minions.
It was a Breaking Limit Level minion; if not for his alliance with the Plastic Energy Crown, that minion probably would have already devoured him, becoming part of the Civilization Devourer.
Beside them, the Heavenly Craft Master and Alchemy Crown were also colliding.
Both were the leading figures of their respective civilizations' "crafts," and their transformed bodies were naturally crystallizations of "skill."
The Alchemy Crown sat at the center of a purely Alchemy Mechanical World, with every move commanding countless Alchemy Puppets, as if the lord of ten thousand armies.
Opposite him, the Heavenly Craft Master, although possessing flesh, used the blood and flesh technology of the Galaxy Mayflies.
With every movement, countless crystal Galaxy Mayflies controlled flesh creations, colliding with the mechanical legion of the Alchemy Crown like a tide of flesh.
Boom!
Four figures suddenly separated.
The four Breaking Limit Sovereigns looked at each other from afar, thoughts rapidly turning in their mental organs.
"World, let's leave," the Heavenly Craft Master said.
"The swarm has already borne the humiliation for us; continuing is meaningless."
The World Dominator was silent; the Swarm Dominator's message was not sent only to the Heavenly Craft Master.
Opposite them, the Shaping Power and Alchemy Crown also received news from the rear. Knowing the Swarm Dominator had surrendered, they realized the war was over.
Without words, the World Dominator and the Heavenly Craft Master tore open the void, receiving what the Swarm Dominator left for them—a cache of sealed insect eggs, nearly containing all subtypes of the Galaxy Mayflies.
"Thank the swarm for me,"
the World Dominator's voice was low, and then a contract appeared before the four Breaking Limit Sovereigns.
Though the Wizards wished to end the fighting, clearly, the Shaping Power Crown and the Alchemy Crown could not allow the World and Heavenly Craft to leave unconditionally.
The Shaping Power Crown glanced at the contract, whose content was simple: the World Dominator and the Heavenly Craft Master would leave and never return to this World Community in this lifetime. Furthermore, their future kin would not set foot in this World Community. In return, the Wizards would not hunt them down.
"What do you think of this contract, Alchemy?"
The Alchemy Dominator was silent for a moment, then replied, "The defeated must act defeated. Giving up land is not enough; there must be reparations."
The mental exchanges between the four beings clashed endlessly, and the contract content was constantly revised.
Finally, besides the original terms, a clause was added that any Galaxy Mayfly leaving today and its descendants would not act against the Wizards.
Beyond this, the World and Heavenly Craft Sovereigns took treasures enough to fill a Miniature World from their vaults as compensation to the Wizard Civilization.
This compensation nearly emptied the two sovereigns' accumulations over the years, but as the defeated, this outcome was already quite generous.
The worlds colonized by the Galaxy Mayflies, the natives within them didn't even receive such a fate and vanished in the long river of history.
Watching the World Dominator and the Heavenly Craft Master leave, the Shaping Alchemy Crowns exchanged a glance, then opened the Dimension Gate, returning to the Wizard Dimension.
There's only one last matter concerning the Galaxy Mayflies left to be handled.
...
Wizard Dimension, City of Eternal Truth.
"Regarding the war against the Galaxy Mayflies, we have achieved complete victory. The World and Heavenly Craft have left this World Community, and they will not return in this lifetime, nor will the Mayflies they take with them ever oppose the Wizards in the future."
In the conference room, the Shaping Power Crown casually mentioned the fates of the two Breaking Limit Sovereigns.
Soon after, applause filled the conference room.
Undoubtedly, this was good news for the Wizards.
Their war with the Galaxy Mayflies was entirely over, and now their only enemy was the Civilization Devourer.
With the applause stopped, the Shaping Power Crown and the Alchemy Crown turned to Richard.
The Alchemy Crown spoke, "Miracle, what were the swarm's terms of surrender?"
"He wants to shelter the Galaxy Mayflies in our hands, to free them from the status of mere cannon fodder or industrial raw material." Richard replied calmly.
"Is that all?" The Shaping Power Crown raised an eyebrow. "Then why did you suggest amending his contract?"
"It's simple. In the upcoming war, we cannot afford to be the only ones making efforts."
Richard straightened up, a sharp glint in his eyes.
"However, in fighting the Civilization Devourer, whether we can win or not, even if we can win, facing such a monstrous threat to the entire World Community brings no benefit to me.
I believe we should form an alliance, an alliance led by Wizards."
"…An alliance led by Wizards indeed sounds appealing," the Alchemy Crown said in a deep voice, "But what does that have to do with the swarm's contract?"
"It's a banner," Richard repeated what he had told the Swarm Dominator.
"…You are all intelligent people. A civilization that can tolerate even past enemies to fight against the Civilization Devourer is evidently more sincere.
Moreover, it can also serve as a vote to aid us in leading the alliance."
The conference room fell into silence, as Richard's reasoning made sense. Using the Swarm Dominator as a limited ally would be better than locking him down.
However, the hatred between the Wizards and the Galaxy Mayflies made them somewhat indecisive.
"His contract can be optimized, but the Galaxy Mayflies must be restricted," the Shaping Power Crown said.
Richard smiled, "Restriction is indeed necessary. Wizard Civilization is a civilization for Wizards."
After some exchanges, the handling of the Galaxy Mayflies was quickly finalized.
The Galaxy Mayflies will exist as a subordinate race, possessing a certain degree of autonomy, and join the Wizard Alliance.
As vassals, they are to share technology with the Wizards and contribute fifty percent of their resources to the Wizards. In warfare, they must participate in all wars the Wizards require them to join.
The Swarm Dominator's contract was also optimized, allowing him, though limited to a single world in the Material World, to have the freedom to travel to the Endless Dimensions.
With a show of hands, the handling of the Galaxy Mayflies was unanimously approved.
Thus, the Wizards' war with the Galaxy Mayflies completely ended.
The Wizard Alliance stepped onto the historical stage.
