Chapter 149: The Surrender of the Swarm Dominator
"Chief Instructor? That is indeed Talal Peak."
In the Abyssal Archive, the King of Titans listened to Richard's description and nodded slightly.
"I've watched that kid grow up. Though his strength hasn't broken the limit, his abilities are quite impressive. Whether as a deputy or a marshal, he's a good choice."
"You've watched him grow up?"
A trace of surprise flashed across Richard's face; he hadn't expected such a special relationship between Talal Peak and the King of Titans.
"Should I tell him about your existence?"
"Let's leave that alone," the King of Titans waved his hand.
"If that kid knows about me, he won't listen to you anymore. I'm just an old thing that's not quite dead; you're the real King of Titans in this era."
Richard nodded slightly, then shifted the topic to the Civilization Devourer.
"My companions allied with several other Dominators, turning themselves into a Curse Meme attached to the Civilization Devourer."
"Oh?" The King of Titans showed a hint of surprise, "He managed to pull that off; it's simply incredible.
If so, has the Civilization Devourer already fallen into the Star Realm, beginning to corrupt the world?"
Richard nodded: "That's right, the Civilization Devourer has already started to corrupt the world. I need some of the information you possess to help us fight against it.
I assume this information can be decrypted now, right."
The mimetic properties of the Civilization Devourer made the records about it extremely dangerous.
No one knew if this record would become a medium for the Civilization Devourer's pollution.
"Decrypt? I don't hold any such data," the King of Titans laughed. "Besides, you don't need any data beyond what you have on Titans and Furnace Men.
Not even the data on those Crystals is required."
Richard was slightly surprised, a guess flashing in his mind.
"What do you mean..."
"Yes," the King of Titans nodded slightly, "the civilizations that were swallowed in the past have been severed by me.
You only need to deal with the legions we once had swallowed back then."
Richard was silent for a moment and then sighed: "You make it sound like your legion is easy to handle."
Who knows how many civilizations the Civilization Devourer has consumed, but it was the Predecessor Civilization Alliance that managed to support until a solution emerged, and they successfully sealed it away too.
The terror of the Predecessor Civilization Alliance is beyond imagining.
"Haha, there's no other way," the King of Titans laughed heartily, "You have to choose a battle. But you are lucky; that guy doesn't have any accumulation now and can only produce legions by swallowing worlds.
When we fought him back then, he didn't even need to swallow worlds. Just his personal accumulation was enough to wage war against entire world communities."
A trace of shock crept over Richard's face, giving him a new understanding of the Predecessor Civilization Alliance's immense strength.
After discussing the grand matters at the civilizational level, the King of Titans looked at Richard as if his gaze could penetrate Richard's soul to observe his flesh.
"Not bad, not bad, you certainly have talent." The King of Titans suddenly nodded satisfactorily, "For the Four Elements Rules to integrate so smoothly, it seems there's nothing wrong with my Cultivation Method."
Nothing wrong?
A moment of unease flashed in Richard's heart.
"The foundational part of this Cultivation Method... you haven't practiced it?"
"Of course, I practiced it," the King of Titans found Richard a little surprising, "But I had already broken the limit, and my physique was far beyond yours.
The data you saw, it's simply my data-based hypotheses.
Your success shows that my hypothesis is completely correct."
Richard's eyelids twitched a bit; although he had expected the Titan Body Cultivation Method to have some issues, he hadn't thought that he'd actually be a guinea pig.
But Richard's heart soon calmed down.
A guinea pig then, he had no choice but to practice the Titan Body.
"I have an idea," Richard asked, "I've seen half-dimensional creatures before. I wonder if I could integrate my Illusion Rules into my body the same way as other rules."
"Incorporate the Illusion Rules?"
Upon hearing this, the King of Titans' six eyes became tightly focused—a common expression for Titans when they are thinking.
Suddenly, the King of Titans stood up and paced around the archive. His expression became more serious.
Richard waited quietly on the side; it was unknown how much time passed before the King of Titans suddenly stopped in his tracks.
"Your idea is good, very good. Young people have far more dynamic ideas than an old thing like me.
The idea is quite feasible, but I suggest you attempt this after breaking the limit.
Illusion Rule Integration is an area I hadn't considered; my advice is limited. So, you'd best have a solid foundation before attempting it."
When he finished speaking, the King of Titans looked at Richard with a passionate gaze.
"If you can succeed, then it may indeed evolve into a path leading to a Level 8.5 Creature."
Richard got up and bowed slightly.
"I'll do my best."
...
Returning to the Material World, Richard created two more avatars.
One avatar was responsible for overseeing the Wizard World, while the other was tasked with nurturing the Titan Legion.
As for himself, he had to cultivate a body for Talal Peak.
Talal Peak's soul was weak, with just a few epochs left to live, and the Illusionary Dimension was devoured by the Civilization Devourer.
But his soul quality was undoubtedly that of a Dominator.
As long as his body was remolded, he could fight with the prowess of a normal Dominator.
The Illusionary Dimension could just be remade.
After all, the Titan Dimension still hadn't completely vanished, and with the reconstruction of Talal Peak, it could perfectly utilize the Power of Dimension from the Predecessor Civilization Alliance.
Time flies, and in the blink of an eye, a year has passed.
During this year, the frontline battle remained very stable.
The Civilization Devourers did not launch any attacks on the Hub World controlled by the Wizards—compared to the Hub World controlled by the Wizards, the world of the Galaxy Mayflies was obviously an easier target.
Moreover, the territory of the Galaxy Mayflies was vast, and after notification from the Mayfly dimensional avatar, the wormholes of these worlds were all destroyed.
Even for the Civilization Devourers, they had to slowly fly over to devour them bit by bit.
However, the Wizards did not feel relieved due to the lack of war.
Everyone knew that this was merely the preparation stage for an attack. Once the Civilization Devourers devoured the softer targets, the Wizards would face a thunderous strike.
"Still no response..."
In the Secret Realm, Richard sighed lightly.
A year had passed, and the Breaking Limit Sovereigns of Alchemy and Shaping Power still had no time to respond.
Had the Secret Keeper not assured him that the dimensions of both were without major problems, he would have suspected that the two had already been tainted by the Civilization Devourers.
Before Richard, a mountainous body had been more than half completed.
Shaping a body that a Dominator could use was no simple task.
The mere consumption of resources in this endeavor was enormous.
Fortunately, Richard was now able to create on his own, so the consumption of materials was virtually none, although the time spent was a bit longer.
After his sigh, Richard continued constructing the body. The flesh in his hands was like soft clay, molded at will, with cells continuously differentiating during the process.
Beside Richard, Ulysses looked at the mass of constantly transforming flesh and couldn't help but shrink his head back.
Although this mass of flesh was merely a tool in Richard's hands, in Ulysses's perception, it was a twisted flesh monster. As soon as it broke free from Richard's control, it would instantly become a terrifying creature that devoured everything.
"Evolution is so fast." Ulysses sighed lightly.
As he sighed, his gaze paused, and suddenly a voice echoed by his ear.
"Lord Crow, is my master experimenting? I have something important to report to my master."
"Something important? Eldritch, what have you encountered?"
Ulysses was a bit curious—now that the Wizards' war had ceased, what important situation could there be to report?
"Lord Crow, I've encountered the Dominator of the Galaxy Mayflies."
Dominator?
Hearing this news, Ulysses's feathers bristled, and he immediately shouted toward Richard, "Richard, Richard, stop playing with that thing, Eldritch has encountered the Dominator of the Galaxy Mayflies."
The flesh in Richard's hands suddenly exploded, and the scattering flesh rapidly mutated in the air, transforming into monsters comparable to Level 5 Creatures.
"Which Dominator?"
"...Swarm, he said it was the Swarm."
Disappointed, Richard casually waved his hand, and a magical power storm obliterated the flesh-created monsters.
"Give me the coordinates, I'll go meet him."
...
In the Endless Dimension, the Swarm Dominator hovered silently in the void, waiting for Richard's arrival.
Beside him, Eldritch was curled up like a lifeless object.
"Little one, there's no need to be nervous, I won't eat you," the Swarm Dominator said somewhat helplessly.
He clearly bore no malice toward Eldritch, but the little creature looked at him as if seeing a ghost.
Eldritch remained unmoved.
The Swarm Dominator considered himself very friendly, but in Eldritch's eyes, he was an unimaginably powerful monster.
As a Gestalt Creature, Eldritch understood the might of the Swarm Dominator more than anyone else.
Seeing this, the Swarm Dominator could only continue gazing into the void. Moments later, a Rune Gate opened in the void, and a figure in a black robe emerged from it.
"Swarm, long time no see."
The Swarm Dominator looked at Richard, calmly stating, "Sparks, a few years is hardly a long time."
"So, what do you intend to do?"
"What else can I do?" The Swarm Dominator's voice carried a hint of helplessness, "The Galaxy Mayflies have been utterly defeated, and those two brainless ones from the world and artifice are the same.
The future of the Galaxy Mayflies can only be under my protection."
A slight smile appeared on Richard's face.
"A wise choice. Those little Mayflies below, upon knowing of your existence, should be quite relieved."
The Swarm Dominator did not respond; as the defeated, being mocked was only natural.
"What about the contract? Since I've come to surrender, surely you wouldn't let me draft the contract myself."
"The contract matter... there's no rush."
"No rush?"
Seeing Richard deep in thought, the Swarm Dominator said with some anger, "Why, does a Dominator not even deserve a contract anymore? Are Wizards that confident?"
In his view, Richard's reaction was simply contempt for him.
A contract was meant to bind equivalent existences; if the other party was just a bug that could be pinched to death at will, then a contract naturally wasn't needed.
"No, no, no, you've misunderstood me," Richard calmly shook his head, "Your contract will certainly be there, but it definitely won't be the previous one.
Now is a special time, and your contract might serve as a banner to demonstrate the Wizards' stance."
"A banner?"
"Yes, a banner."
Richard nodded, his expression very serious.
"A banner representing the possibility of cooperation with the Wizards."
