Chapter 12: Creation Machine and the Four Elemental Territories
The Four Elements Creation Machine is an apparatus that is both simplistic and intricate.
Its foundational principle is based on the concept that all things are composed of the Four Elements, so as long as it's not a special material like the Boundary Annihilation Stone, no matter how rare the alchemy materials are, they can be created by the Four Elements.
However, just because the principle is simple, doesn't mean it's easy to create.
The soul of a Level 6 creature and four complete rules are not easy things to acquire.
Although in the technology of the previous civilization that Richard took over, there were relatively mature plans for the Four Elements Creation Machine.
But the resources required for these mature plans were also substantial, and some of the materials he had never even heard of.
As he pondered, Richard suddenly looked at the Shan Hai on his body.
Noticing Richard's gesture, Talal Peak also followed Richard's gaze.
"Is your Magic Equipment finished? It looks pretty good."
Talal Peak glanced at the chains under Richard's black robe, a hint of astonishment in his eyes.
He had witnessed Richard's strong biological technology. But he hadn't expected Richard to have some research in forging as well.
Although he couldn't see clearly, just based on the bits of information he saw, he could conclude that Richard's craftsmanship wasn't bad, at least above the passing line.
Even though the passing line didn't sound impressive, Talal Peak's self-assessment was below passing.
"Yes, this first Magic Equipment is considered complete." Richard nodded slightly, with some contemplation in his gaze towards Shan Hai, "And I also had some small discoveries."
He suddenly thought, since the Magic Equipment spirit could mobilize the enchantments on the Magic Equipment, could they also replace the Tower Spirit in creating with the Four Elements Creation?
After all, Magic Equipment is essentially the body of the Magic Equipment spirit. While humans may be clumsy with tools, using one's own body is absolutely easier.
Noticing Richard caught in thought, Talal Peak immediately held his tongue, stopping his inquiries about the Magic Equipment.
He gestured to the Titan Legion not far away, and the next moment, these Titans silently retreated in unison.
Richard's brainstorming lasted for several hours, during which he almost produced the entire design diagram of the Four Elements Creation Machine.
"What were you saying earlier, Talal Peak?" Richard came back to his senses, asking somewhat awkwardly.
"Nothing, it wasn't something significant," Talal Peak said respectfully, "I just wanted to ask about the capabilities of your Magic Equipment. Additionally... I want to ask your help in forging a weapon for me."
Richard was taken aback, then he chuckled, "What kind of weapon do you want?"
Talal Peak didn't say much, immediately producing an Information Crystal from his hand.
Upon receiving it, Richard saw that the Information Crystal contained a design for a pair of Finger Tigers.
"These were a pair of Finger Tigers I used before, masterpieces of Master Gick. These Finger Tigers accompanied me for a hundred thousand years, but unfortunately, in the final battle, they were shattered by that monster's minions.
If you have the time, I hope you can reforge them. They greatly help my combat ability."
Richard put the crystal away, nodding slightly.
"No problem, I'll find the time to create this thing."
Talal Peak gave a respectful bow to Richard and then went on to continue training his Titan Legion.
Richard returned to the World Tree Platform to start refining the sketches in his mind.
Though theoretically, he should now be preparing to deal with matters related to the gods, when inspiration comes, it cannot be stopped.
In just three days, Richard spent only three days producing the Four Elements Creation Machine sketches.
After completing the sketches, Richard didn't waste time and immediately started gathering materials.
And among these, the most important was the collection of the Four Elements Rules.
Solely relying on primitive rule imprints for rule collection was really too slow, so Richard decided to use a faster method.
Rupturing space, pure Fire Element erupted like a volcanic eruption.
With the Miracle Furnace, the fastest way to acquire the Four Elements Rules is to visit the Four Elements Territory and hunt the Elemental Lords within it for refinement.
Those Elemental Lords living within the Four Elements Territory are inherently born with complete Elemental Rules.
As long as he hunts four, Richard can obtain the four pure Elemental Rules needed by the Creation Machine.
However... doing this is somewhat dangerous.
Richard gazed into the rift with some seriousness; the Four Elements Territory is a place more terrifying than the Endless Dimension.
The Four Elements Territory is the foundation of the Material World, and its vastness is almost infinite. Living within are countless Elemental Lords and Elemental Monarchs.
Elemental Lords are not a problem for Richard, but Elemental Monarchs are troublesome.
Elemental Monarchs are Dominator Level creatures and are nearly immortal. Only sealing skills or finding their true names can restrain them.
Moreover, many Elemental Creatures bear deep hatred toward Material World creatures, viewing them as impure, mongrel-like beings that need purification.
If encountering such beings, even Richard would have a headache.
"One can only pray not to encounter troublesome guys." Richard sighed.
Crossing through the rift, the environment around Richard abruptly changed.
Around him, flames of various colors composed everything, the flames filling the entire world like an ocean.
"What a suffocating environment." Richard quipped. (The Fire Element Territory lacks Wind Elements, so naturally, there's no air, making suffocation a normal reaction.)
The fingers moved slightly, and suddenly a layer of flames ignited on Richard's body. From the outside, he looked like a Flame Giant.
Elemental creature disguise, an essential witchcraft for traveling in the Elemental Territory.
Unleashing spiritual power, Richard casually squeezed, using the Magic Hand to crush a fire element spirit that was almost merged with the illusion.
The Elemental Territory is not like the Endless Dimension; the Elemental Territory has energy.
The perennial Four Elements Annihilation has made the energy inside the Elemental Territory quite abundant, almost comparable to a general Great World.
After the fire spirit died, it left behind a sesame-sized crystal; this crystal is pure fire element, the highest quality Fire Element Crystal.
"The Elemental Territory is indeed rich."
Richard looked around; within this sea of flames lies endless treasure. Unfortunately, most of these treasures are things one might not come back alive to spend.
Boom!
The elemental ocean around Richard suddenly began to tremble.
In Richard's spiritual perception, a Flame Giant Serpent over hundreds of meters long was slowly swimming in the sea of fire.
This giant serpent was entirely dark blue, and the Fire Element Crystals formed a complete spine within its body.
Upon this spine, Richard detected what he needed this time.
"It delivered itself to my doorstep."
Richard smiled, and instantly two Magic Hands appeared, grasping the giant serpent and squeezing it into a ball.
Fire Element Rule, acquired.
Having grasped the Fire Element Lord, Richard immediately left the Elemental Territory with it.
Generally speaking, these Fire Element Lords have an Elemental Monarch behind them as sovereign or elder.
Obviously, bullying the weak with strength like this means staying inside the Elemental Territory as little as possible.
Arriving in the Material World, Richard's Magic Hand suddenly tightened, instantly crushing the elemental body of the Fire Element Lord, leaving only its Elemental Crystal Skeleton.
[Raw Material: Remains of the Fire Element Lord]
[Extractable Rule: Fire Element Rule (First Level)]
[Refining Consumption: 0.1 Soul Power]
Seeing the negligible refining consumption, a feeling of sentiment suddenly arose in Richard's heart.
Once upon a time, refining a complete First Level Rule required support from Soul Essence to barely accomplish it.
But now, his refining consumption already seemed negligible.
With the extraction complete, Richard sealed the rule and then headed to the next Elemental Territory—Wind.
The Wind Element Territory is quite similar to the Fire Element Territory, except the flames in space are replaced with winds of various colors.
And behind the gale lies what seems like an abyssal darkness.
All Four Elements Territories possess the rule of gravity; if a creature cannot fly, then in territories like the Fire Element Territory and Wind Element Territory, almost devoid of land, they would fall endlessly.
After some effort, Richard found a Wind Element Lord.
This Wind Element Lord resembled a mythical Yinglong, with a long body bearing a pair of massive wings.
Within its body were fog-like bones, and as it moved, it stirred up waves of cloud-like wind.
If viewed as a spectacle, this Wind Element Lord was quite impressive.
Sadly, Richard is a pragmatist with no sense of romance.
This artistic Wind Element Lord was dragged into the Material World by Richard using the same method and was crushed to extract the rule.
Next was the Water Element Territory.
Contrary to ordinary people's impression of a blue ocean, the Water Element Territory looked black.
Resembling the deep sea, the surroundings were only a profound stillness. As Richard moved, formless or shaped water elemental creatures silently shuttled around, like ghosts of the ancient days.
Moreover, land occasionally appeared in the Water Element Territory.
These were fragments from the adjacent Earth Element Territory, and just as wind and fire elements do not annihilate, water elements coexist quite harmoniously with earth elements.
Earth elemental creatures can even travel to the Water Element Territory, provided they don't linger too long.
In this deep sea, Richard searched for a while and finally found a Water Element Lord.
It was something like a jellyfish; to deal with it, Richard used a little finesse.
He didn't use the blunt and direct Magic Hand but chose to simply seal it with Magic Chains and then drag it into the Material World.
After extracting it, Richard only had one last territory left to visit.
Tearing through space, a sandstorm rushed out through the elemental rift.
Richard entered it, and what unfolded before him was a world of swirling yellow sand.
The Earth Element Territory is the most similar to the Material World among the Four Elements Territories, yet it's also the most dangerous.
For some reason, earth elemental creatures are particularly hostile towards the creatures of the Material World, especially flesh creatures.
