NOVEL NEXT Chapter 546: Warrant For Arrest
Adam had gone to the fatty's home that was heavily secured and didn't even bother trying to hide his intrusion or sneak in, striking down anybody that got in his way.
He didn't kill any of the guards or any innocents, but he couldn't allow him to get away with getting his father to try to kill him and the same was for anyone else remotely involved in the attack.
"Did you miss me?" he asked as he waltzed into the fatty's room.
Seeing Adam's glaring red eyes, he frantically struggled to get out of bed and what he feared the most had come to be.
He had been trying to get into contact with his father and ask what was taking him so long, but he never expected his father to fail.
And somehow it was Adam who had come to him and his father was nowhere to be seen, so something must have gone wrong.
"Damn it. Leave me alone," he yelled as he scrambled to climb out of the window as he called for the guards to come and save him.
Following after him, Adam landed elegantly on the ground, unlike him, who slammed onto the ground and could barely move his legs.
He still had a durable body and hadn't suffered much damage, but the fatty escaping was impossible.
"No one is going to come to your aid," Adam said to him as he laughed at his desperate attempt to get away from him.
Trying his best to crawl away, it was to no avail and Adam merely walked after him before stomping on his left arm.
"Argh!" he wailed in pain before pleading with Adam to spare him.
Adam just laughed and went over to his other arm before crushing it the same way without an ounce of remorse.
"I spared you once. But I won't make the same mistake a second time," said Adam, as he stood on top of the screaming fatty.
"Despair! Wallow in despair you low life."
Forming a blade of energy, Adam cut off all of his limbs and left him there howling in pain as he slowly died from blood loss.
It was a gruesome method of killing and he wasn't finished yet; he went all around the region and found anyone involved in the attack and eliminated them in similar ways.
Leaving a bold statement to everyone that even thought about messing with him.
Following his tracks was the Branch Master who didn't know what had happened and had been pushed to call in one of his seniors for assistance.
But, neither he nor his senior found anything and after Adam had dealt with everyone that had an input in what had happened, he disappeared and there was no way for one to know who exactly was responsible.
However, the Branch Master was pretty sure who was behind it.
Everything that was happening started upon the appearance of Adam in his region and all those that had been killed were those that had a reason to hold malicious intent against him.
That would explain the explosion on the mountain, which could have been after their battle, and since there was no trace of Su Lan, they could only assume she was dead.
Everyone that was involved or knew anything about what had happened was dead, which left Adam, the only likely one that was responsible for what had happened.
Coming to that conclusion, the Branch Master had no choice but to put out a warrant for his arrest and every cultivator in the region and in all the surrounding regions had been instructed to capture Liao Wei.
Liao Wei that was in charge of the Black Dragon Group went into hiding and didn't want to have to deal with the misunderstanding, meanwhile, Adam had returned to the cave he had left Su Lan in.
As soon as he entered the cave, she grabbed her sword and had been shocked that she had been unable to sense him before he entered the cave.
Seeing that he was drenched in blood, she asked, "What happened?"
"Don't worry, it's not mine," he reassured her with a smile before jumping into the river that was not far from the cave.
Washing off the blood, Adam came out and dried his clothes with a small amount of fire energy, and seeing that, Su Lan ignored all the other questions she wanted to ask.
"How the hell can you use fire energy?!" she exclaimed.
"Um... Well, I have a fire elemental affinity," he answered nonchalantly as he called for the tiger that had been in the cave to come to his side.
It had been resting nearby and ran over to Adam, before lying beside him as he stroked it as if it was your everyday house cat.
Su Lan could kill the tiger with ease, but to dominate it and make it act so friendly was unheard of, and the way he acted as though it was a weak creature shocked her.
But unbeknownst to her, Adam had faced much more terrifying creatures than a mere tiger, so it truly did feel like it was a weak creature.
Sitting opposite him, she began bombarding him with questions about everything that had happened and he answered them simply just like always.
"I crippled that last guy and he won't be able to trouble us ever again. Then I destroyed the mountain and left no remains. Then I healed you. Then I went out and killed everyone involved in the attack."
Hearing all of that, she shook her head and seemed to be worried about something.
"They will probably put all the blame on you and assume I am dead in the worst-case scenario. That will make you the enemy of the Martial Arts Union that is meant to maintain peace along with my family. I can deal with my family, but even my family can't do anything about the Martial Arts Union..."
She trailed off and knew that she wouldn't get into any trouble, but the same couldn't be said for him.
