"That damned Branch Master. He didn't bother showing up when Su Lan was struggling in her battle, but now he is when I unleashed my killing intent," cursed Adam.
"Well, I still have a minute, which I can enjoy," he said with an evil smile.
Crushing the wrist of the leader that he had a hold of, he had his bones crunch.
Doing the same to his other wrist, the man began to howl in pain, but it did nothing to stop Adam who showed no remorse for the torture he was putting him through.
Such a despicable man deserved much worse and Adam didn't plan on killing him.
That would be showing him mercy.
Utterly destroying all four of his limbs to the point that he would never be able to recover them or use them again, he also destroyed his Internal Cultivation, crushed his face and destroyed his voice box.
Leaving him as a cripple that could see and hear anything, but would never be able to speak or kill himself.
He would struggle for the rest of his life without ever being able to get his revenge as he watched himself wither away.
Grabbing his lifeless body, Adam flung him in the direction that the Branch Master was coming from like a baseball and he flew into the air and blitzed towards the city like a cannonball.
"That will distract that Branch Master for a short while," he said to himself as he picked up Su Lan and flew into the air.
Once he was in the air, he streamed unbelievable amounts of fire energy into his right arm and launched it onto the mountain that Su Lan's home was previously on.
The power of his attack was greater than any bomb and completely decimated the mountain and got rid of any traces of a battle, and the impact was heard throughout the city as he flew off into the distance while carrying Su Lan.
In a remote area, finding a cave in a cliff that was near a river, Adam went in while carrying Su Lan, who had instinctively entered a dormant state to extend her life.
Within the cave was a hostile tiger, but with a mere glare from Adam, it became a docile big cat like a house pet as it went and rubbed against him.
"Get out for now," he instructed the large beast of an animal, that was completely obedient and rushed out of the cave.
Beginning to heal Su Lan, Adam took out a lot of pills from his inventory that he fed her along with administering her great amounts of energy and getting rid of all the impurities for her.
Within a few hours, her body was as good as new and it wouldn't be long before she regained consciousness, however, he had to leave and deal with some things.
Carving with his finger, he wrote on the wall of the cave a note for her that said, 'I am impressed by you and have recovered your body. Just cultivate for now, and I will be back soon.'
And it wasn't soon after he left the cave that Su Lan regained consciousness.
She was initially confused and went to grab her sword, that Adam had left beside her, then calming down and reading the note she let out a sigh of relief.
Checking her body, there were barely any scars left, and it was almost as if she hadn't fought in a battle at all.
How that was possible she didn't know, but she was slightly annoyed with Adam.
She had a feeling he wasn't completely unconscious, and he was clearly the one that saved her and helped her recover, but couldn't he have just intervened in the first place.
But then when she began to cultivate, she found that her body was hungrily absorbing energy and that her cultivation was even faster than it usually was, which was likely thanks to the intense battle she had fought in.
Seeing the results of Adam's decision, she still had mixed feelings over his decision to let her fight alone.
She truly thought she was going to die.
But there was nothing she could do about it and everything worked out, so she just focused on her cultivation as she awaited Adam's return.
Adam remembered the faces of every single attacker and recognised most of them from the tournament, so knew their names.
Like that bastard said, 'Never leave any loose ends and always reap the rewards for yourself', and Adam wasn't going to let anyone involved get away with it.
He hadn't let loose in a while and had wanted to lay low, but attacking him so openly was unforgivable, and the first person he was paying a visit to was the fatty that he had already crippled.
The Branch Master had caught the decimated body of the fatty's father and rushed towards where he had heard the explosion of the mountain.
He had no idea what had happened and the man he had caught had been destroyed to the verge of death, and also couldn't speak, so he didn't know what to do.
Calling for his subordinates to secure the area and take the man that he recognised as one of his region's senior cultivators to the Martial Arts Union where he should be treated and detained.
He knew that the mountain was previously where Su Lan lived and for such a large commotion to occur the day that the dark horse appeared, it couldn't be a coincidence.
Whatever happened, he didn't really care and just wanted some confirmation that the two youths were safe.
Without any time to rest, just after he secured the area around the explosion and began securing the area, he began receiving alerts all around his region.
"What in the world is happening?!" he exclaimed, starting to get overwhelmed by all the reports and different things he had to deal with as the overseer of the region.
