Welcome To Tomorrow: When The Gods Gave Me A New World

Kazu wakes just as the sun is rising, a faint glow slightly brightens the room. He looks towards where Anna is usually sleeping, and finds no one there. Kazu gets up and puts on his clothes. He steps into the hallway then heads down the hall to the twin's rooms. He sticks his head into Felix's room, no one is in there. He opens the door to Felina's room, again no one is in there. He checks Petal's room, no one is there. He checks the mistress' room, and yet again it is empty. He heads to the stairs and goes down to the foyer. He decides to check the kitchen, hoping Lina is in there. Still no one. 

Kazu is now getting anxious, he starts checking the other rooms with speed and determination. He checks every room in the house including the storage rooms. He can find no one in the house. He unlocks the front door and steps into the front porch, still no sign of anyone. 

He is now panicked and is running to the back door. As he opens the door, he finds Arwain cradling her daughter in her arms, a rusty beat up sword sticking out of her chest. Orolfie lays unmoving a few meters further away, her chest sliced open, blood no longer flowing. 

Without looking up Arwain says , "The orcs took them… after they killed… 'the traitors'", then she broke down into uncontrollable sobbing. 

An anger he has never felt before wells up in him. His eyes start glowing, and he turns to head to the orc camp. He concentrates on locating Anna, and the world goes black.

Kazu feels himself pressing against something soft, he jumps away from it, his eyes are glowing, he is ready to fight anyone between him and his family. He makes a loud deep noise, as if he was starting to yell something into the world, but then he sees a startled and worried Anna looking at him from his bed.

A startled Anna asks, "Kazu, Are you okay? What happened?" She looks around the room, then asks , "Who were you yelling at?" 

Kazu's eyes dim and he rushes to hold her. He is desperately trying to hold back tears as he tells her "I thought I lost you… you and everyone I care about… I was ready to rip the countryside apart to find you all… It was a horrible nightmare… I can't ever lose you… any of you… You all have already become my world… I already lost my first family… I can't lose my new one."

Anna holds him as a tear lands on her cheek. She comforts him as he holds her.

He starts telling her about the dream, she kisses him and pulls him, coaxing him to lay next to her. 

Just then, two orc women followed by just about everyone else charge into the room ready to attack anyone stupid enough to attack their savior. They come to a dead stop when they see the two of them on the bed, Kazu's head on her chest and Anna kissing the top of his head.

Orelfa's war face transitions into a smile then she asks, "You yell when have sex? scare us to dead, scared dragon attack you."

 Kazu gets up out of bed, walks over to Orelfa and hugs her, then says, "You thought a dragon was attacking and yet you all still barged into her to defend me." 

Orelfa puts her hand on his naked butt, and gives it a little squeeze, and says "I protect ass. good ass, front good too."

Kazu laughs, and says "I don't even care that I'm not dressed, I am gonna hug you all, if you don't want my naked hugs, best run now." He began hugging the girls, even Felix stayed for a hug. The last two he hugs are Rask and Arwain, he drops to his knees to hug them. 

He hugs Arwain first, during the hug she whispers in elvish, "You've got a lovely family here, I see now you love them as much as they love you. My girl and I will be here for you, if you want us to."

Kazu kisses her on the cheek, and replies in elvish, "Sweet little Arwain, you three are always welcome here."

Last to be hugged is Rask, she pulls up on his hands to make him stand, then she hugs him. Kazu begins laughing as he realizes why she wanted him to stand for their hug. 

Anna laughingly comments on the hug, "Just be glad he woke frightened and not… happily excited, otherwise you would have lost an eye hugging him like that."

Everyone starts to laugh, even Kazu. Kazu apologizes to everyone for waking them, and suggests that they all head back to their rooms. Rask has decided otherwise, she is still hugging him tightly and will not let go. 

Anna jokingly says, "Looks like you might need a pry bar to get free from that hug."

Kazu smiles and looks over at Anna and says, "Yeah I have a bit of a Klingon issue right now, and I'm too tired to fight for this neutral zone." Turning his attention back to Rask he says, "Either head back to your room, or you'll have to discuss sleeping arrangements with Anna."

Anna answers, "Just bring her, It's too late and I'm too tired to argue about sleeping arrangements."

Kazu begins slowly walking back to the bed, Rask is standing on his feet and still hugging him, causing him to take smaller steps to make sure he does not hurt her. He can feel her giggling as he moves. Between the giggling, her breathing, and excessive head movements, Kazu gets a bit excited on his way back, which elicits a "hello there!" from Rask, and a giggle from Anna.

Eventually he gets back into bed, Rask still hugging him, her hair tickling his belly button as he moves to get comfortable. Anna cuddles up to him, gives him a passionate kiss. 

Anna Jokes, "Wow, I bet you feel special, it takes two women to cuddle all of you."

Kazu jokes back, "Really all of me, there is 40% of me still uncuddled. It would take at least one more to fully cuddle me.

Anna smiles and says, "That can be arranged."

Kazu kisses her forehead and says, "I'm sure it could, Goodnight you two, sleep well."

Kazu then hears a muffled, "Goodnight." and feels a kiss that was not on his lips.

A few hours later Kazu wakes up again, the girls are still cuddled up to him. One of them has drooled all over him, and it was not the one that has her head on his chest. 

He wakes them both and offers them his morning greeting, "Good morning ladies, welcome to tomorrow."

Rask finally releases him, and they all are able to get up and get ready for the day. Kazu reminds Rask that they will be working on plumbing again today, then he goes into the bathroom to clean off all the drool she left. Anna laughs as he cleans himself.

Anna jokingly asks, "Do you need any help with that?"

Kazu replied without thinking, "If you helped with this we'd be here for hours."

Anna blushes and giggles as she starts getting ready for the day. A few minutes later they leave the room and head downstairs for breakfast. In the foyer they meet up with three of the guests.

"Hello ladies, besides me waking you, did you sleep well?" Kazu asked.

Arwain, who is being carried by her daughter, whispers something to Orelfa then turns and reaches for Kazu. Orelfa hands her to Kazu, and he holds her the same way her daughter was. 

Arwain hugs him, then answers him. "Yes we slept very well, even the brief interruption did not change that. We also decided what we want to do now that we are away from… the males."

"Excellent, What are your plans?" Kazu asks.

"We are hoping you can let us stay if we help around the house. I know a bit of nature magic, I can help your plants grow. I saw the grapevines on the side of the house. With my magic we could have three to four harvest per year, instead of the one that you would normally get. The girls want to fight with you, like in dungeons, or as part of your hunting party." Arwain explains.

"Those both sound reasonable, I have no problem with either request. I will have to check with the lodge to see if half-orcs are allowed to join. As for the dungeons, I did not know they had those around here."

Orolfie responds, "Yes, there many in area, males never go, not take 'worthless female' if did."

"Kazu replies with a smile, "Well I know you two are not worthless females, so when I go I'll definitely let you come." Orelfa and Orolfie hug and thank him then run off to the dining room. Kazu follows behind, still carrying Arwain.

After entering behind them he asks, "Today Felix, Rask and I are working on adding water pipes into the house, so can you two can help us with that? Arwain I'd like you with Anna and Felina if that's ok? They are our nature experts… well Anna was a farmer, and Felina is a beast tamer… so that's as close as we got til you arrived." Kazu looks over to the dining room entrance and sees several heads peeking in. "Does that sound good to you all?" he asks.

Anna responds, "Welcome to the family girls, I'm sure we'll all have fun. Let's eat breakfast."

"Speaking of new to the family, where is Petal?" Kazu asks.

No one knew so Kazu headed upstairs to the room she took last night. He knocks on the door but hears no answer. He enters the room to find the bed unused, he looks around the room, in the bathroom, and in the closet, still no Petal. Thinking of his dream, Kazu is getting worried, he starts to leave to look elsewhere, then out of the corner of his eye he sees a foot under the bed. 

Kazu walks over then sits next to the bed and asks, "Are you okay under there?"

He hears a timid reply, "I heard a loud yell last night as I was sleeping… it scared me… so I hid under the bed… and got stuck."

Kazu apologizes, "I'm sorry Petal, I had a nightmare last night, and that was me that yelled. I'm sorry I scared you, and everyone else. Let me help you out of there."

Kazu lifts the end of the bed which lifts Petal off the floor by her shorts. While holding up the bed Kazu reaches for her shorts and frees them from the bed support. That allows Petal to finally crawl out from under the bed. She then scooches over to him and sits by his feet.

Kazu has another question, "You said you were sleeping when I scared you, but the bed is not slept in, where were you sleeping?"

Petal answered, "On the floor next to the bed where I'm supposed to. Thank you for allowing me to use a room, but I know I'm not allowed to dirty the sheets with my disgusting rabbit body."

Kazu sits down next to her, then says, "Petal, the bed is yours as long as you want to stay here, you do not have to sleep on the floor. Like I said before your bath last night, you are free now, there are no masters telling you what to do. No one in this house sees you as being less than themselves. You are a beautiful woman, it does not matter if you have bunny ears, or a fluffy tail, to me you are just Petal, and that's all you need to be."

Kazu reaches over and picks her up and princess carries her to the bed. He lays her down on the bed then lays down next to her and pulls her in for a gentile cuddle.

He smiles at her and says, "See now doesn't this feel a lot more comfortable than that cold hard floor?"

Petal nods in agreement, and touches his chest. After a few minutes of laying with her he lets her know that there is breakfast waiting downstairs. She casually gets out of the bed and with measured steps walks to the dining room.

Everyone else had already moved into the dining room to eat breakfast. Arwain and the half-orc sisters were the main topic of conversation. The second topic was where Petal was, which brought up the third topic. The third topic was the events from last night, the girls conversation mainly revolving around Kazu's lack of an outfit, and the hugging.

Kazu quickly dismissed himself after eating and called for Rask, the main instigator of the hugging conversation, and Felix to join him. Orelfa and Orolfie both got up to join the group as they left. Lina took the dishes to the kitchen, and Anna, Felina, and Arwain left to head to the vineyard and orchard.

Kazu's group headed out to the workshop. On their way they stopped to see the progress the builders were making. After a short conversation with Va'mel the foreman they continued to the workshop. Kazu, Rask and Felix started making more pipes, Kazu had decided on more holes than he originally planned so more pipes were needed. A few hours later they had finished making all the piping Kazu figured that they would now need. They moved the pipes into the basement to begin the job of installing the them. 

The walls to the house are made of solid stone, so Kazu went to the 2nd floor. Using earth magic he cut the fresh water feed and sanitary drain holes straight down to the basement from each bathroom, three for each sink and three for each tub. He also added a hole for electricity in each bathroom, and two in his room. He then went to the servants bathroom and added a little extra since it's also the laundry room. He added several electrical holes in the living room. In the final room, the kitchen, he made three holes for the sink, a couple of extra holes for some appliances that are in his spatial bag, and six holes for electricity..

Once he returns to the basement they finish clearing out the debris from all the stone coring and then begin feeding pipe to the bathrooms. The orc sisters were mainly handling the pipes, but they looked happy to be useful. Using the metal magic, they were able to connect pipes without needing angled fitting or couplings. They hung the pipes from the ceiling using U-bolts set into place using earth magic. Finishing fairly quickly, they were left with installing the piping back to the water tower, and making a few spigots then installing them.

Felix convinced Kazu that he can take care of making the spigots, and Rask wanted to install the faucets, so Kazu began the task of installing the water supply piping with Orelfa. Orolfie went with Rask to help her..

First thing he installed was a shut-off valve so he can fill the tower even before they finish the faucets, and add the water heater. An hour later, thanks to earth and metal magic, the piping was finished and the tank was ready to be filled. He then made his way inside to check on the progress of the two installing the faucets.

Finding them in his bathroom he asks, "So how is the installation going?"

Rask, looking frustrated, responds, "Not as well as I hoped, I got the one in your tub installed, and the one on the counter, but they move all over the place when you turn the knobs."

Kazu responds, "Ohhh, I thought I gave you pins to secure them." He looks around the parts and finds the long hourglass shaped pins. "Here they are, you'll need to set these in those two holes in the faucets base, narrow side goes into the stone, use earth magic to firmly set them into the counter or tub wall. Just like we did for the U-bolts that we hung the pipes with."

Rask, understanding what he means, moves to install the pins for the faucets. She finishes the tub install in two minutes and the sink in about one minute, then gathers the parts to move on to the next room. Before she leaves he calls her back, then shows her how to finish the sink and tub drains with an s bend creating a water plug to keep smells from coming out of the pipe. Kazu lets her know he is going to check on Felix, then heads to the workshop, Orelfa follows behind.

As they walk into the workshop, they find Felix humming to himself and making a garden hose type spigot . "How's it coming in here? Looks like you are just about done."

Felix smiles at him, "Going well, I am just finishing up. This is the last one."

Kazu asks, "Did you manage to make all three single feed ones I asked for?"

Felix nods and hands three garden hose type spigots to Kazu. A few minutes later Felix has finished assembling the faucet he just made, and they gather everything up and take them to Rask. Seeing that she has everything under control upstairs, Kazu gathers up the faucets for the kitchen and the appliances, and heads downstairs. Felix follows him down. Kazu watches as Felix installs the faucets in the kitchen, giving advice as needed. In a relatively short time they were done in the kitchen, then went back upstairs to assist Rask. With the three of them now working on one floor, and the sister carrying the parts, they finished extremely quickly.

After finishing the last faucet they celebrate. Kazu breaks into their celebrations, reminding them that there is a separation in the piping in the basement that now needs to be finished. 

Orelfa says, "saw that, what goes in hole?"

As they are heading back to the basement Kazu answers, "Excellent question Orelfa, we are going to install a device that heats the water in that spot. It is called an electric tankless water heater. I will also install a device to provide it with the electricity that it needs to work."

When they arrive back into the basement Kazu pulls the water heater out of his bag then attaches it to the wall. Rask takes the initiative and installs the piping to and from it. 

Reaching back into his bag, Kazu pulls out the nuclear battery device. He uses his earth magic to reform the wall four meters from the water heater. He forms a shelf in a recessed area to be used as a mounting point for the battery. He opens the lid and a monitor turns on, he adjusts some settings to the electric output to be compatible with the home appliances and other devices he has in his bag.

Kazu again reaches into his bag and pulls out several spools of wire and some clippers. He then connects the battery to the water heater. Rask takes the initiative again and recesses the wires into the wall, with Orolfie picking her up and helping her reach high enough. Once connected two red lights turn on and the temp readings show 00⁰ C.

Kazu happily announces, "Now we are done with the piping, I'm going to go fill the water tower, I need someone to stay down here and look for water leaks, and to turn this lever. I'll also need someone in each bathroom and the kitchen to check for water leaks. You will need more people, so ask Lina and anyone else you can find to help."

Orolfie stays in the basement, the rest head to their agreed upon rooms, compelling others to help as they find them.

Kazu arrives at the water tower, climbs up and in just two minutes he fills it full of water. Yelling towards the house, he asks Orolfie to turn the lever. He walks to the basement door and asks, "How does everything look down there?"

Orolfie answers, "No water, box made noise, glowing spots changed."

Kazu examines the water heater, all the indicators show it is working properly. "Excellent" Kazu said, "I'm going to check upstairs and check on everyone else. Keep listening to calls for closing the valve, the lever you turned earlier. If it needs to be closed, turn it to look like it did before." 

He heads into the kitchen, Lina is standing in the kitchen looking around nervously. Kazu walks to the sink and turns on the faucet, air flows out of the faucet followed by sputtering water. After a few seconds the water flows smoothly. He then does the same for the appliance spickets. Moving upstairs he goes to the furthest bathroom and runs the water to clear the pipes. He continues testing each bathroom, making his way to his bathroom. 

After finishing his tests, Kazu congratulates everyone for a job well done. He then informs everyone that he plans to run some wires to the kitchen, living room, his bedroom and all the bathrooms tomorrow.

Then they all head downstairs for dinner. After finding out they are a few hours early, Kazu pulls out of his bag some games to play. The girls decide to play the one that has them putting their feet and hands in colored circles. After an hour of playing, Kazu decides that he needs to introduce them to yoga.

Eventually Lina lets everyone know that dinner is almost done. Twelve minutes later she serves them dinner. Dinner went by with nothing exciting happening, the main point of conversation was everyone talking about wanting to use the new water system. Kazu explained how to use the faucets, and gave them a warning about the hot water being scalding hot. 

After dinner ended they all left the dining room, Felix, Lina, Arwain and Petal went to bathe, everyone else went to the living room. Felix and Petal went to their respective bathrooms, and Arwain went to her bathroom with Lina.

Kazu walks into the living room after everyone has settled down, and notices several of the ladies were sitting on the floor. He asked the ladies on the sofa, "Can I get you all to get up for a moment, I want to switch the sofa out with a couch."

They do as he asked, but look confused while doing it. Kazu puts the sofa into his bag then pulls out a leather U shaped wrap-around couch, and places it where the sofa was. He then adjusts the couch from the U configuration to an L shape. Once the couch is set, he pulls out an oversized reclining chair and places it off to the side.

Kazu smiles and says, "There we go, now there is room for everyone. I'll be adding more stuff tomorrow after we finish the wiring." He then sits in the recliner and relaxes while the ladies talk. After an hour, Kazu declares, "I'm going to go to bed, you ladies enjoy the rest of your evening."

Anna asks, "Are you bathing tonight or tomorrow morning?"

"Tonight," Kazu answers as he is walking away, "If you want to join me you better come now."

Anna gets up to join Kazu, Orelfa and Orolfie get up and follow her. Rask and Felina look at each other, shrug, then follow behind everyone else.

As Kazu gets to his room he notices the trail of women and Felix following behind him. He laughs to himself, and thinks, "I really need to stop issuing open sounding invites, everyone always seems to accept." Even though he thinks it, he does not say anything out loud.

Anna goes to the tub and starts the water, as the water gets hot, she adjusts the knob to get the temp just the way she wants it. When it's just right she puts in the stopper, and gets ready to get in. The bath takes much longer to fill, as compared to how fast Kazu is. By the time the tub is filled, everyone has already entered, and taken a seat. Rask is relatively well behaved this time, Orolfie and of course Anna are the two that are being playful this time. Eventually everyone is clean, and they all get out and head to their rooms. Most of them leave in towels, Orolfie, Orelfa and Felina did not bother with a towel.

Anna and Kazu dry off, and Kazu stores the bed in his bag. Anna confusedly watches as he pulls a larger bed out of his bag and places it where the other bed was. Kazu smiles at her then says, "This bed is long enough that my feet won't hang off of it, and wide enough that six people can sleep comfortably on it. Another plus, it feels like you are sleeping on a cloud. Give it a try."

Anna lays on the bed and immediately sighs in contentment. The first thing she says is, "How is this so comfortable? Even the sheets are soft and smooth. Get in here and cuddle me before I fall asleep."

Kazu gets into bed, cuddles with Anna and kisses her on the forehead as she quickly falls asleep. As he starts to fall asleep he hears a knock on the bedroom door. He invites whomever to open the door. 

Orolfie walks in and asks, "Can me sleep here? Orelfa snoring loud, can't sleep."

Kazu slides Anna over without waking her, and motions Orolfie to join. She heads to the bed shedding her clothes as she walks. Once she reaches the bed she climbs under the covers, and cuddles up to him. She lays her head on his chest, and kisses his pec and wishes him goodnight, in turn he kisses her head and wishes her the same. A few minutes later they both join Anna in dreamland.
