NOVEL NEXT Chapter 12: Chapter 12: That Honky Tonk Badonkadonk
Kazu is laying in bed using his wind magic as Anna wakes up. He smiles and says, "Good morning beautiful, welcome to tomorrow. I'm surprised you could sleep through the work going on outside."
Anna answers, "When I'm sleeping next to you, nothing seems to bother me."
"Well I'm going to get dressed for the day, come find me when you get ready." Kazu says to her, then kisses her. He dresses as she stretches in bed. He speaks to Anna again as he is finishing dressing. "I left a new outfit I found in my bag in the closet for you. Take a look when you are ready to get up." A minute later he walks out the door, and heads to the backyard.
Kazu spends a while talking to the foreman about the building, and what he plans on using it for. He and Kazu walked around the slab, with Kazu pointing out what he plans to put in each area. The Forman kept up with him for a while, but Kazu lost him when he started talking about lathes, CNC machines, power hammers, and other modern tools. What really confused him was when he asked about the building he made the day before. Kazu tried to explain it to him, but he did not seem to be following. Kazu then leads him to the workshop.
In the workshop Kazu grabs 5 kilos of steel, and 2 kilos of copper. Using his magic he removes any heavy metals from the metals, then combines them. Continuing to use his metal magic he turns his steel-copper alloy into a 7 meter long 3 cm in diameter pipe. He then explains what the pipe is good for, and how he plans to use it, and many others in various diameters.
Eventually Felix and Rask make their way over to Kazu, giggling with each other. "Anna won't come out of your room, and she wants you to come back to your room." Felix says.
"Did she say why?" Kazu inquires with a smirk.
Rask responds, "No she didn't, she sounded angry, but was also laughing at the time… Also she would not let me in your room."
Kazu, still smirking, says, "Okay, I'll go see what she wants." He makes his way back up to his bedroom. Arriving at his door he finds the door magically locked. He unlocks the door and walks in and she is wearing the Cowgirl outfit he left her.
Kazu smiles at Anna, and says "Wow, don't you look sexy, how do you like the outfit I gave you?"
"Couldn't you have left me a shirt, or a vest big enough for me to button?" Anna inquires with a sly grin..
Kazu replies with a grin, "I'll give you back your clothes after tonight's bath, but for today this is your outfit… for instigating everything last night." Anna gives a who me face, unable to completely hide her smile. "Yes you, I saw you giving permission and directing the other ladies. Plus as I was going upstairs I heard you talking about all of you going to the bath with me, you were not as quiet as you think you were."
Anna blushes and asks, "So you heard that? I was whispering, I don't see how you could have heard me."
Kasu laughs, "I didn't hear you but I figured you did, and you just verified it."
Anna puts on an angry face, then jumps on Kazu, who just catches her. She leans forward and kisses him. Then she says, "You see right through me, don't you."
Kazu replies, "Honeybuns, we have a very similar sense of humor, so if you think it, I'll most likely think it too." He squeezes her butt, then says, "I'm going to head out back and get to work on the piping, I need you to run to town and buy some stuff for me. Enjoy your trip sexy."
Anna hops down and pleadingly says, "You can't expect me to go into town like this, I won't even make it past…"
Kazu interrupts, "Of course I don't actually expect you to go to town like that, take the vest off and I'll give you something to wear under it."
Anna smiles and pulls off her vest. Kazu hands her two pasties with tassels, then laughs and runs away, tossing the vest to her before he exits the room.
Running past Felina, he stops. Still laughing, he asks her, "Can you tell Anna that I was actually joking about needing her to go to town? I actually want her to practice her offensive magic today, maybe patrolling the perimeter of the property, and clear out any dangerous animals. You should go with her to practice your magic too. There should not be anything stronger than a hog around here, but if you two come across anything you are not completely sure either of you can handle, call for me, you both have the ring I gave you, I'll hear your call."
Felina agrees, and heads upstairs to talk to Anna. Kazu hears Felina loudly ask, "What yn the world are you wearyng?" Anna starts explaining why she is wearing the outfit as Felina starts laughing. Eventually Felina relays what Kazu asked her to tell Anna.
Kazu looks around the house, and eventually finds both Felix and Rask, asking, "I'm working on plumbing again, care to join me today?" Both agree to help him, or maybe just watch and learn.
The three of them walk to the workshop, and Kazu shows them the pipe he made earlier, and explains how it works. He repeats what he did in front of the foreman, showing them how he made the pipe.
He then hands Felix some steel and copper, and asks him to try to make a pipe 1 cm in diameter with the same thickness wall, as long as he can. With Kazu's instruction, it takes Felix a dozen minutes to figure out how to do it. After a few more minutes he managed to make the pipe, it ended up being 11 meters long.
Kazu congratulates Felix for a job well done. For the next couple of hours Felix, Rask and Kazu make pipes,
As Kazu is starting on another pipe, he gets a weird tingling sensation in the back of his head leading to the realization that Anna was calling him. He feels that she is terrified, he pinpoints her location, 936 meters to the south east. He turns to run to her, then disappears, the metal he was holding falls to the floor , leaving Rask and Felix confused and standing in the workshop. A second later he is standing between Anna and an orc. Felina is two meters behind Anna, she has 3 squirrels and a fox in front of her, the animals are acting aggressive but are in a defensive formation.
Kazu says to the orc, "Leave now, never come back, and live, or you can stay and die. I will not allow anyone, man or otherwise, to threaten the ones I love."
The orc yells as he attacks Kazu. A large club swings down at Kazu's head. Kazu reaches out and stops the orcs' swing grabbing its wrist. Kazu bends the orc's wrist up in a direction it should never go, it snaps and the club tilts back and hits the orc in the head. Kazu sees a massive opening in its defenses and he punches it's jaw with his left hand, the orc's jaw shatters. He then releases the broken wrist, and punches the orc in the chest with his now free right hand. The orc's sternum and ribs shatter, pieces of the ribs and sternum rip through its heart and lungs, A large fragment of its sternum slices through its spine and flies out its back. The orc lands on the ground, exhales once then breathes no more.
Anna and Felina rush to Kazu, he drops to one knee and he hugs them. They spend the next few minutes hugging him and peppering him with kisses.
Anna, with tears streaming down her cheeks, begins cry-talking, "I was so scared when it attacked. I tried to fight back… I fired flames at it and water shots… it just dodged them… Felina asked some animals to help… but it did not help… I yelled for you… you showed up. How did you get here so fast? Then you said something to it, it swung at you… then it fell over dead… It happened so fast… I didn't even see you move."
Kazu pulls the two of them in for another double bearhug, and whispers to them. "I'm sorry, if I knew there might be something like that here I would have never asked you to check the perimeter. I figured it would be a safe way for Felina to practice." After a few more minutes of hugging Kazu goes back to talking normally. "Make your way back to the house or the workshop. Felix and Rask are in the workshop making water pipes, I'm sure they'd love to see you two, and to also know where I went. I'm going to see if I can figure out if there are any more orcs around."
After hugging Kazu for a while, they finally calm down. The girls decide to take his advice to make their way back to the house. Once he is sure they are safely on their way Kazu puts the orc corpse into his bag, then starts following the orc's footprints. Hours later, following the winding trail left by the orc, the sun sets and the sky gets dark. In the darkness Kazu sees a campfire in the general direction the footprints came from, and decides to check it out. He makes his way close enough to hear some Orcs talking around the fire.
He hears two females talking about what food they have available for dinner. He hears someone crying in a tent. He also hears three males who are closer to Kazu. They are talking about their glorious one sided battles they had today. One orc is bragging about capturing a long eared "toy" from some weak humans. He describes the battle he had with the humans, he jumped out of the trees slamming himself into the wagon. The wagon then flipped over, spilling everything and everyone out of it, before the humans had a chance to recover he killed them with his club. The two orcs with him were just listening to him brag. Seeming to lose interest in the story, one of the males asks where the fourth male was, none of them knew, and they did not seem to actually care.
Kazu decides that now is the time to make his entrance, with hopefully some intimidation. He pulls the orc out of his bag and throws it to their feet, 16 meters away. The males turn to face Kazu, the females scurry to hide in their tent. Kazu steps into the light, eyes glowing blue and talking with bass in his voice, his words almost sounding like a growl. "Your friend here decided it would be a good idea to attack my family, he learned too late the folly of his ways, so now he will never do that again, or anything else." He continues slowly walking towards them. "You now have two choices, stop attacking other races and work with them, or you can attack me. If you attack me you will die here and now."
The three male orcs howl an orcish obscenity and move to attack Kazu. Kazu frowns and says "Hasta la vista, orcy." Immediately after, Kazu fires from his hands 300 compressed plasma projectiles at them over five seconds striking all three male orcs. A short scream escapes their mouths as the plasma projectiles rip through them. As Kazu stops firing the smoking orcs fall dead to the ground. In all their bluster, the orcs were unable to get any closer to Kazu.
Kazu, as his glowing eyes fade, he checks the males to make sure they are dead. After his checks are completed he calls out to the females, saying, "Female orcs, exit the tent, please do not make me have to go in there. I know the males abducted someone earlier today, so bring her out too. I do not want to have to kill anyone else, unless I absolutely have to."
He hears shuffling coming from inside the tent, and some whispers. He hears the sound of metal hitting the ground, chains rattle, and some grunting. Then one of the Orc females says loudly, in a softer voice than he expected. "We come out, we ask you not kill, we not hurt anyone."
The two female orcs exit the tent, they are about 10 cm shorter than Kazu, the males he fought were around 14 cm taller than he is. The females have removed anything they felt he might think of as a weapon, all the clothes they left on was a loin cloth and a barely there top.
They are as toned as he thought they would be, but way less muscular. Their build was more like an athletic human than a stereotypical orc.
Before he can ask anything the black haired orc female says, "The bunny captured today in the tent with sister's mother. We can not free them from chains to bring out with."
Kazu asks, "And your mother? Where is she?"
"The one you threw, the leader, our father, he killed mother 5 winters ago when tried to leave." She answered.
Kazu looks to the tent, "I'm sorry you lost your mother, I wish every day my mother was still with me… Let's go inside and free them from their chains."
Kazu follows behind the orc women into the tent, once inside he sees the bunnygirl with her hands chained to a rafter, across the tent is a tiny female elf half hiding under the bed she was chained to.
Kazu says to the orcs, "Have a seat, and please do not move, we are not finished talking yet." They both nod and sit on the bed. The elf woman gets up and cuddles into her daughter. Her daughter holds her as a mother would hold a scared child.
Kazu hears the half-elf orc tell her mother, "No afraid… he will help. He nice to us… human no want hurt… that not want hurt him." She then coyly smiles at her mother.
Kazu turns his attention to the bunnygirl. She has pink hair, with matching ears, 1.62 meters tall, and appears to be in her mid to late 20's. As he reaches for the chains he begins talking to her in a soothing voice. "Hello, I'm Kazu. I'm here to help you, you have nothing to fear anymore. What is your name?"
The crying bunnygirl answers him, "I'm Petal, sir."
Kazu smiles at her as he uses his metal magic to remove the cuffs. As soon as her hands are free, a couple of tears escape her eyes.
"Thank you sir, It's one thing to be sold, but to be captured by orcs…" Petal says.
Kazu, shocked, asks, "Sold? Petal, were you a slave?"
Petal answers, "Yes sir, I am a slave, been one for all my life, I think."
Kazu is now visibly upset, "Not anymore, and never again."
Petal asks, "If I am not a slave… What should I do? Where will I live, where will I get food to eat?"
"We will figure it out… For now you are safe and free with me, give me a moment need to help the elf." Kazu says to her with a smile. Petal lets him go to let him help the elf, but she holds onto his shirt like a safety blanket.
Kazu leans down to the elf's eye level, and speaks, "Hello, I'm Kazu, let me see your bindings and I'll get you out of them."
With the help of her daughter she sits up and gives access to the collar around her neck. A few moments later Kazu removes the metal collar. He sees scars around her neck from the collar being on for so long. The elf reaches up and touches her neck, then leans into her daughter and cries, the orc daughter hugs her and comforts her. "I told he help. What now Kazu?" The orc asks, looking pleadingly at Kazu.
Kazu responds, "I can't and I won't separate you from your mother, or your sister. I get this feeling that you're all good girls in a bad situation, and that I can trust all of you. You are all welcome back to my home. We will feed you and give you a proper bed to sleep in tonight. Tomorrow we will figure out what's next."
Bring me anything you want to take with you, clothes, weapons, keepsakes… whatever it is I'll put it in my bag and we will go. The elf and Petal had nothing to bring, the orcs ended up bringing some clothes and several beat up useless weapons.
Kazu asked, "Do you want the weapons because they have meaning for you, or just so you'll have weapons?"
The black haired orc answers, "If need weapons… old and worthless, but all we have."
Kazu shakes his head, then says "We'll take the clothes, if you need weapons, I'll get you some better ones. I only know Petals name, do you three have names?"
The green haired orc says, "Orelfa, mother Arwain, sister Orolfie."
Kazu smiles at them, "I wish it was under better circumstances, but it is still a pleasure to meet you all."
Petal tugs on his shirt and asks him a question, "You talk to the elf in elvish, the orcs in orcish, and me in Vaynish the language of my former masters. How many languages do you speak?"
Kazu ponders for a moment, then responds, "I actually did not realize I was switching between languages." he thinks for a little longer then continues, "I'll look into languages later, for now, it's more important to get you all to my home safely. Petal you will have your own room if you wish, you three can share a room if you want, if not there are other rooms available."
Orolfie responds, "Same room… want stay with." Orelfa nods in agreement, her mother is being carried by her daughter and does not respond..
Kazu finishes packing the clothing, and the group heads out of the tent. He stops just long enough to douse the fires around camp, then they finally leave the camp. Taking the more direct route, it ends up taking them about an hour to get to the property, and another 10 minutes to get to the house.
As they arrive at the back door they are met by Rask and Anna having seen the orcs approaching they are ready for battle. Kazu speaks up, "Stand down ladies, there are no enemies here. Consider these four to be rescued kidnap victims, and guests for the night."
Anna and Rask immediately switch into mother or big sister mode. Rask calls out into the house for Lina. She arrives wondering why she was called, but when she sees the elf a look of surprise flashes across her face. Lina immediately rushes to her fellow elf. Orelfa seeing the haste as a threat ends up blocking her path and getting into a defensive stance between the two elves. Kazu says to Orelfa, "Do not worry, she means no harm, she is just worried about a fellow elf. Please let her tend to your mom."
Lina freezes, looks at Kazu then at Arwain then back at Kazu, "Did you just say that this child is her mother? She can't be older than 90, that's way too young to have children."
Kazu explains, "Orelfa is her daughter. She was captured by an orc… Orelfa is the result."
Lina gently asks Arwain, "How old are you sweetie, and how old is your daughter?"
Arwain, hiding behind her daughter, quietly answers, "I am 92, my… Orelfa is 6."
Lina walks quickly to Kazu, dragging him a few meters away from the group, then whispers to him, "In your years she would have been 12 when her daughter was born. I hope you made sure the one that did this to this child will never do it again."
Kazu whispers back, "If I knew about this I would not have been so nice. Anna and Felina were there when his ability to breed or breathe was permanently removed. I'm sure they will tell you all about it later."
Lina turns back towards Arwain and says, "Excellent, let's get you all inside, fed and into a nice warm bath. Kazu, we will need you in a bit to fill the tub for us."
Kazu responds with snark and a bow, "Of course, always at your service my lady."
Lina looks at him with worry on her face, but sees him smiling, and as their eyes meet he winks at her. Lina blushes and escorts the four guests into the house. On the way in she says, "Oh, Kazu, we were waiting for you to get back before we ate, so your food is ready."
Kazu's response comes quickly, "If you don't mind, Feed them and yourself that food, I'll make a meal for everyone else while you are helping our guests. I might even make desert. Everyone ok with that?"
No one has an issue with his plan, they actually seem excited, so he heads to the kitchen. About twenty five minutes later Lina brings the dirty dishes into the kitchen. Kazu and Felina are finishing making their dinner, fried chicken breast strips, mashed potatoes with brown gravy, and cut green beans. Lina stops for a moment to "inspect" the meal, which prompts Kazu to give her a taste. That invites a moan of enjoyment and a request for him to teach her how to make it later.
Before leaving, Lina asks, "If it's ok for Felina to finish up here… and can I get you to fill the Mistress room's bath tub now, I'd really appreciate it."
Kazu nods and says, "I can definitely help with that, go on up and I'll be right there."
After spending a minute instructing Felina on what to do to finish up, Kazu heads up to help Lina.
As Kazu enters the bedroom he hears Lina in the bathroom saying, "No, no, no… wait… not yet…"
Kazu cautiously enters the bathroom, and sees every one is naked except Lina. Kazu says, "Hello ladies, I am here to provide you with some nice warm water. If you'll let me squeeze by, I'll fill the tub for you." They all step aside to let him through, Orolfie watching him closely, licking her lips like she just found her favorite dessert. Moments later he is done filling the tub, and starts heading out of the room. He stops next to Lina and hands her a bar of soap. "I'm sure they will need this." He continues to head out of the bathroom and gets cut off by the little elf Arwain. Kazu stops and goes down to one knee. "Yes mam, how can I help you?"
Arwain hugs him quietly crying, she gathers her voice and says, "Thank you for saving us, Whatever you need, we will do it for you… even if it's… dange…"
Kazu interrupts her, "Sweet little Arwain, from this moment on your body, and your choices are yours. If someone tries to force you to do something, I will stop them. Now sweetie, go enjoy your bath, then get some sleep."
Kazu stands picking up Arwain in his arms. He then turns to everyone in the bathroom and says, "Tomorrow is the first day you all will be truly free. I may be the master of the house, but I am not your master. There is only one thing I ask from you, think about what you want tonight, then tell me tomorrow. Enjoy your bath, Lina will be here if you have any questions, if she can't answer, you can have her call me back in. Goodnight ladies, and welcome to your freedom. I leave them in your trusted hands Lina, treat them well."
Kazu leaves the bathroom and makes his way downstairs where Felina catches him as she is setting the table. Kazu spends the dinner explaining his battle with the orc men, where the new girls came from, and why he invited them to their home. Half an hour later everyone is still sitting at the table talking, when Kazu excuses himself, saying he has something he wants to get for them. Felina offers to help get whatever it is, but Kazu asks her to stay.
He heads to the kitchen and pulls out two frozen pies he had in his bag, he spends a few minutes heating the pies with magic till they are ready. He grabs a knife then heads back to the dining room. Setting the pies down, he slices the pies into eight slices each. He serves the pies, some choose the apple pie, some choose the strawberry pie. When done he sees five freshly cleaned women walking into the room sniffing the air. All four of them are wearing his Earth shirts, The orcs are wearing t-shirts, and Petal and Arwain are wearing sleeveless undershirts. The orc sisters are also wearing some of his Earth boxers. He can't tell if Arwain and Petal are also wearing his underwear but comparing the size difference, and the lack of color change under the shirt, he assumes no. The good news is the shirts are so long on them that they fit like a dress, Petal's shirt comes down to her mid thigh, and with Arwain the shirt almost touches the floor.
Kazu asks Lina to get more plates and forks for the guests, which she immediately does. He serves Lina and the guests, then sits to enjoy his pie. Everyone thoroughly enjoys the sweet desert, some are savoring it, some eating it like it will disappear in 2 minutes. Kazu assumes it's the first time the fast eaters have ever had anything like it. Before too long everyone is done with their pie slices, and they make their way to their bedrooms.
Kazu stops Anna and says, "The two orcs and the elf are going to sleep in your room, do you have anything in there you need?"
Anna laughs and replies, "I never really put anything in there, I'm always in your room and bathroom so never felt the need."
Kazu laughs and asks, "But what about when you had to sleep naked the first night, I thought it was because all your stuff was in the other room."
Anna looks down shyly and says, "No… all my stuff was in your room, I actually wanted to see if you would try something or if you would wait till I was ready, and you waited… and waited…"
Kazu picks her up and carries her to his bedroom, once he enters he sees everyone that has not bathed yet waiting on him. Kazu sets her down and says, "I guess it's our turn to bathe. Lina, did you get our guests settled in their rooms?"
Lina answers, "Yes sir, they went to bed clean, well fed, and happy. They asked me a lot about you during their bath. Orolfie asked the most questions."
Anna asks with a grin, "Ohhh… and what did she ask?"
Lina, recognizing her mischievous smile, answers, "The sisters know a little bit of elvish and a bit of Vaynish so between the two she was able to ask some questions. Well she asked a lot of stuff actually, but I'm sure the question you want to know is if she asked if he was married. Which she did, it was actually the first question she asked. I told her that technically he was not with anyone, but that you sleep with him at night. Then Arwain asked some questions about his character, and no one asked about his partner again."
During their conversation Kazu filled the tub, undressed and got in. Felix and the ladies followed closely behind. Unlike the night before this night went fairly smoothly, Anna is the only one that teased him. Felix sat on the other side of the tub laughing at him for the first half of the bath.
Rask in all her brilliance decides that his laughing means that Felix feels left out, so she spends the rest of the bath tickling and teasing him. After everyone is clean, they all get out of the bath and make their way to their rooms. Anna and Kazu dry off then lay down, within minutes they are both asleep.
