Wang An Leiji (Yang Leiji) (What If I Was In Martial Peak)

Chapter 540: Explanation Of Ink's Strength

"Then… I was actually right. You were training them…" Luo Ting He struggled to say as her view of the world became unstable. "Why would you do something so risky?" She shouted in a rare moment of passionate anger.

Yang Kai and I looked at each other and tilted our heads at the same time. Then we both started laughing, I snapped my fingers summoning freshly made tea then served it.

"What's so funny? Junior brother, are you alright with your son doing something so crazy?" Luo Ting He complained, confused why the pair of us were laughing.

"Sister Luo, do you know what my son's… No, the human race's goal for the next big campaign is?" Su Yan asked, using a term of address to indicate that she was equal standing at the moment. Though, she and Yang Kai were definitely above Luo Ting He in the pecking order.

Yang Kai sat down and sipped on the freshly poured tea, calming his laughter down to a light chuckle. Su Yan sat down next to Yang Kai and handed my little sister over to be doted on by her father. Luo Ting He sat… More like plopped down and wrapped her hands around the warm cup, slowly bringing her back to reality.

"I know we are going to reinforce the line. With the aim of pushing the line ever further forward." Luo Ting He answered. "Other than that, I guess maybe destroying the Ink Clan's creator while we're at it." She continued, now that her mind was calm once more.

"Pfft. Ahahaha, so you know that my Son's goal is to kill that creator. So now, let me ask you… How strong do you think that creator is?" Su Yan let out her own laughter. The baby's cute giggles came out right after.

"I don't know a Giant Spirit God or several at most." Luo Ting He suggested, clearly not giving it nearly enough thought.

"That is an answer I can't accept came from the lips of an 8th rank open heaven realm." I said, crushing my cup into smithereens. "You aren't 9th rank, but you're not pathetic weaklings either. You should have enough sense to see that such an answer is utterly foolish." I continued, holding my anger down, a truly difficult feat for a dragon. "That creator of the Ink Clan… Know what, look down. Tell me what you see there." I relented, annoyed. And with a wave of my hand, had this conversation sent to all the high ranking masters.

"I see an… Ink Giant Spirit God…" Luo Ting He answered, with a tone that seemed like she had just understood something really important.

"That's right. To kill these creatures takes considerable effort. And significantly more if one wants to break the body down completely." I nodded, pouring more tea as my currently serving right hand was Chi Qiu. The others were helping each other to manage their cultivation realms. "Now, take this into consideration. My lightning still hasn't finished purifying it. I'm already well beyond the Giant Spirit Gods. Anyone watching that fight could have seen as much." I continued explaining. "Tell me, how strong do you think, Ink, actually is? He has demonstrated proof that he can create something that I have trouble destroying. I am still far beneath him in many ways. Even so, if I can destroy the body of an Ink Giant Spirit God, surely I could spar against a couple of them." I finished off.

"Senior Luo, my husband is also holding back for the sake of everyone here. If he were to truly release his full power now, it would turn this place into pure energy permanently. At least that's how it feels to me. It's been a little difficult to tell after my husband broke through." Chi Qiu added her own bit of information.

"So… What if you were to seal Ink away. How would you fare in that matter?" Luo Ting He asked.

"Oh, I could probably manage to keep him locked up for quite awhile… That is if I had been born a thousand or so years ago. I could have used the Seal the Ancient experts had created, the one created for the same purpose. However, that seal is far too weak now to be of any real use to me, or anyone. In fact it is because of this that I bothered to speed up my cultivation." I answered, without answering… I was half hoping she didn't push the issue.

"And if you were to do it on your own?" Luo Ting He pressed further, clearly not satisfied with the answer I had given.

"Senior… Sometimes it is best to leave questions unanswered. It is usually best not to ask such questions in the first place." I sighed, slightly annoyed she didn't pick up on the hint. "But since you asked…" I continued looking towards Yang Kai, getting a solemn nod. "If I did it now, It would cost; my mind, body, soul, sources, cultivation and everyone living in my small universe." I started the real answer. "I would be dead with no hope of returning in any way shape or form. And all it would buy the human race is around 10,000 years… Give or take a thousand or two." I finished.

The look of shock on Luo Ting He's face wasn't hard to read. She had asked me about similar matters prior, however she never thought this was the reason I was so adamant about getting stronger. She drank her tea, shedding a tear filled with regret. Then with a determined look in her eye she stared me down straight in my eyes.

"Give me a spot here. I'll break through as fast as I can. It may not be all that much help. But a 9th rank is better than an 8th rank." Luo Ting He said, her face not even twitching. She was clearly trying to make up for the regret. "If that's not possible, then give me a baby…" She added, then instantly regretted saying that. Turning just as red as a wedding dress.

"Pfft, hahaha. There you go Son, an 8th rank open heaven offering such a thing. No question, you're my son." Yang Kai laughed, while I rubbed the bridge of my nose.
