Villain System: 10,000x Reward On Murder In The Apocalypse!

Chapter 44: Epic Grade Boots: Wings Glider

Draziel's pupils constricted and his smile faded. If he hadn't checked the status of the Nuclei and just swallowed it directly, he would have turned into a Mutant or even a zombie in a few hours time.

While the explanation from the system wasn't really revealing, from what he could read and what his brain could infer, the Nuclei is genetically flawed and gobbling it up is also the same as inhaling massive amount of toxic radiation within the body, the cells would eventually mutated towards n unexpected genetic path. Meaning growing an two extra pairs of hand from his abdomen would be considered good mutation, the bad ones might be worse than one could imagine. This mutant seem to be of the good type of mutation.

Draziel couldn't help but wonder what conditions were required to for the human to have mutate as such.

Obviously the toxic air was the catalyst, but how did the human mutate to such a direction, growing wings, beak and sharp talons.

It could be possible that a scientist could edit the genetic map, extract the genes that makes growing beaks and talons out of the gene pool and make it possible to only have wings. If such and experiment was successful, then this apocalypse which seem to be a bad thing might actually be the best thing to have happened to earth since the creation of man.

The world would evolve to a whole new direction! Soldiers spliced with the genes of a Mutated Wolf or tiger would finally be created. If this was the previous era, the first great country to have figured this out will definitely be the those to rule over the world.

Millions of soldiers with the speed and senses of a wolf or the flight capability of a bat, they will be unstoppable and no other country will be able to defeat them.

But sadly or thankfully, the angel fire had destroyed civilization as we know it.

Killing probably more than half of the entire population. Soldiers, citizens and even presidents included, now one knows what would happen a few years from now.

The World might just remain chaotic or maybe return to order one day. But if that was going to happen, it would require years to accumulate and refigure.

"Splat!"

The entire skull of the mutant exploded from Draziel's rage, he was disappointed the nuclei he found wasn't the exactly the one he was looking for, which means there are probably other types of nucleus out there.

His eyes involuntarily touched upon the body of the Mutant and he traced his fingers along the wings of the Mutant. The wings wasn't covered with feather like that of a bird, but was just plain leather flesh, similar to that of a bat.

He touched the bone system that half the wing flesh in place and a bit of curiosity appeared in his eyes.

"Scan."

[Scanning. Please wait... ]

[Scan Successful.]

[Type 1 Mutant Corpse]

[Information: Mutated Human Corpse contains large amount of toxic and pure radiation which could accelerate the mutation of the cells within the body. Upon its death, large amounts toxic radiation gathered at its core to form a Nuclei]

[Materials from the corpse could be extracted. Through special tempering and and various formulas from materials extracted, Evolution points and materials can be mixed to gain certain types of abilities.]

Draziel's eyes widened and then his pupils constricted! If the system wasn't making things up, and what he had read was all true, then the apocalypse was totally worth it.

But the formula, how can one acquire such a formula? Draziel's brows knitted as he recalled the requirements for his evolution once more, that could also be a certain type of formula.

The procedure required for his evolution compels him to assemble certain types of materials, some of which is plain impossible for him to acquire with his current strength.

Now, he is unknowing about how he would be able to use those materials to increase his bodily limit. Obviously, the system would instruct him on how to use those materials to stimulate his body. And maybe from that juncture, he would have an inkling about how to use the materials for other intentions.

Furthermore, the requirement for his evolution is different and also 10 times harder than others. Draziel chose to evolve in all three aspects while many would definitely choose the easier path, evolving in just one aspect such as strength, agility or physique, Draziel decided on the most difficult path, meaning it would be dangerous and even harder to fulfill but if he was successful, he was confident it was all going to be worth it.

Moreover, he had attained three abilities from choosing to evolve with his three attributes.

Draziel was now able to walk suitably. With the force his legs had been hit by, it was almost inevitable his bones would have been shattered into fragments. But he had managed to grasp the danger in the last moment and had activated [Immunity] in the last second, which had protected him for a bit but even then, his nerves, veins and spinal cord had been affected, keeping him immobile for a while until his insane healing kicked in.

If that wasn't the case, then things would have been different now.

He then proceeded to crack his other reward.

Even with the night of the sky, and the radiation in the atmosphere, the emergency battery lamps installed at the wall of the stairway were on, but several of the lamps had shattered probably from the battles that had occurred.

Only a few glares were left to illuminate the stairway. Even then, it was enough to illuminate a few parts of the stairs, albeit barely.

Draziel raked his fingers through his hair and rolled his shoulders, massaging the back of his neck, a few cracks sounded as his bones popped.

Heaving the corpse of the Mutant on his shoulder, Draziel proceeded to climb back up the stairs. To extract the cerebrospinal fluid, he needed a syringe for the procedure. And back in the room he had chosen, he had seen a couple of empty syringes within the first-aid box, which was what he intend to utilize.
