Chapter 317: 314. Clash of the titans (9)
Dexter was directly behind Quan, and he had to say, the young prince had grown exponentially stronger than before.
His wings were now almost like crystals, having a lighter, lie sheen to them. And they were four now, just like Dian had.
Dexter didn't know about dragons too well, but he could somehow tell that the number of wings a dragon had was related to their strength.
Quan held a beautiful silver Jian, cleaving through the monsters like a mastered swordsman. Each of his cuts was straight, carrying one intent and one intent only.
It almost made Dexter want to use a sword... almost.
Only he knew the advantage spears gave him in terms of range and versatility.
They rushed the creatures from all sides, diminishing their numbers rapidly. Hannah was also in the battle too.
She seemed more comfortable fighting close range now. She was ripping apart a bunch of flying fish that were twice her size with ease.
She was not in her transformed state, using nothing but her claws to cut down the creatures.
With a wave of her claws, the air moved with her, as if supporting her intent.
Dexter, who had just finished off another creature, looked up to see her, and he observed this ability.
'That wind ability has become so much more powerful.' He smiled, glad that everyone around him would be able to take care of themselves.
Earlier in the apocalypse, Hannah received a basic wind ability which had accompanied her till this day, and now, using it with so much versatility was really satisfying.
Dexter glanced forward all of a sudden, feeling a large amount of spirit energy coming from the location where the ice stopped.
All of a sudden, a voice reached his ears from above.
"They're here!"
Whoosh!
Dian flew past him with great speed, heading towards the part of the ocean.
"Tsk. Rameses! They're here!" Dexter shouted, letting the dark-skinned Egyptian know.
And then, with a skill, Rameses connected his thoughts with others.
"All fourth class humans, vampires, werewolves, and anyone stronger than that also—move to the front of the battle. This is the last stand." Rameses shone with brilliance, swinging his spear in a wide arc, sending an arc made of light that cleaved the creatures cleanly.
All the members of the camp clenched their fists, switching formation. They finished off what was left of the first horde of creatures.
Soon, more than a dozen people stood in front of the army: Hannah, Tracy, Trisha, Collins, Lily, Kila, Dexter, Jude, Henry, and even Alexander.
Quan, Bai Monk, and Natasha also joined in the front.
Zur, with his armor made out of chilling ice, stepped up too, his long tail waving slowly as he concentrated on the view in front of him.
"The creatures we will face will be nothing like what we've faced before. Keep your guards up." Dexter said, gritting his teeth.
Just then, a large, clawed hand emerged from the waters, grabbing onto the ice.
'They must have met a dead end.' Dexter smiled, looking at Jude who was close to him.
This was because he made Jude freeze the surface of the ocean, more than ten meters thick. So the titans would have no other choice but to come into a new and unfamiliar surface.
The seven guardians joined the group of fighters in front as they were all fourth class.
Gracia also cracked her neck, holding two powerful Glocks in her hands.
Dian observed these new forms of life, even seeing a crown above the Naga that wore an armor made out of ice.
It wasn't that he could help it, as someone who had lived more than a hundred years, to encounter a race that all other races ruled off as extinct was really making him feel alive.
Twelve titans emerged from the sea, all of them over twenty meters tall, having all manner of forms.
Behind them, four creatures emerged, being over fifty meters tall, dwarfing the twelve creatures in front of them.
Dexter clenched his weapon in his hand, looking ahead.
All of a sudden, he felt a familiar presence appear close to him.
"I hope I'm not too late." A voice came upon them. In that instant, Dexter looked up.
"Haha, this old man." Jude laughed, looking up to see the most unexpected figure here today.
Dragon King Gazan.
The iconic king was looking as flashy as ever.
He descended with a stillness that defied the wind, as though the heavens themselves held him aloft.
His robe, woven of flowing silk the color of midnight clouds, unfurled around him like the wings of a divine crane. Embroidered silver patterns of ancient runes and curling dragons caught the dim light, glimmering as if the stars themselves had been stitched into the fabric.
His white hair, long and unbound, drifted in the air with a quiet majesty, and the faint glow of spiritual energy shimmered around his form. His purple eyes held a certain warmth as he gazed at the people below him.
He looked like a sage stepping down from the firmament of his fine abode.
"Where the hell have you been, this man?" Collins was the first to ask, looking at the Dragon King.
"Haha. Feral one, I have been merging the rogue dragon clans." Gazan laughed lightly at Collins.
The last time they met, Gazan experienced unimaginable power coming from the human body of this person that was barely a child where he was.
"Hello sir." Jude waved at the king from the side.
"Mysterious one?" Gazan squinted.
'Now would be a good time to gauge their abilities for myself.' Gazan thought.
"Zur, this is the king of dragons, Gazan. Gazan, king of Atlantis and the Naga race, Zur." Jude did a slight introduction of the kings, and they glanced at each other.
'A king?' Zur stared at Gazan.
He let the ice helmet melt, revealing his face to Gazan.
Dexter looked at Dian and smiled, nodding his head. He knew that the man was responsible for the dragon king being here.
But all in all, it was good to have more help.
Meanwhile, Gazan looked towards Jude and Collins again, seeming more interested in the pair than anyone else.
'I'll finally be able to see how powerful the God Incarnates are.' he smiled.
"Leave the big ones to the third classes. The rest of you, focus on the twelve smaller ones. Move out!"
With that, the entire continent shook at the clashing of exceptionally powerful creatures.
