Chapter 48: [ 11: 30: 00 ] To [ 12: 00: 00 ]
Looking down at his bloodied hand, a never seen before sought of joy began to bloom in Saquin.
"Well, this would be fun."
He shot out of the building into the sky, then in a swift motion, he diverted back downwards like a comet.
"Meet your doom at my hand little Favored One." The vampire laughed into the sky. He prepared to welcome Saquin's attack but that is not how the Empowered world works.
Voom!
A figure closed in, the scimitar in hands were targeted at his neck with unnerving precision and speed.
But what are the vampires famed for if not for their unnatural speed.
His figure blurred as he appeared by the figures back, his hands swiped forwards as his nails elongated. He went straight for the figure's neck.
The figure was not to be underestimated as they managed to react, if barely.
His claws grazed their shoulders. It was not a lethal wound but it was more than enough.
Ducking to dodge the dual axe attack from behind, he moved the spiritual power coursing through his veins.
Blood Manipulation.
Burst.
The figure's shoulder was blown off.
The figure, Dan, screamed in agony, but he was still lucid. He dodged away from the vampire's follow attack, an unnecessary move.
Return.
Kentra's specialty shone through as the Vampire found himself back his original spot with Dan's scimitar closing in.
The vampire was caught a bit off guard, so was Dan, but they were highly experienced warriors. Their instincts took over the fight after their mind paused. Dan's scimitar closed in faster this time despite his eyes still being dazed.
The vampire responded in kind, pushing his speed up a notch ducking under the attack. He spun around as soon as the blade passed over, his claws, blood coated, reached out again.
But, he seemed to have forgotten about a certain someone.
Maybe he did not but naturally assumed he would have returned too.
He was wrong.
Boom!!!
Another resounding clap as the shockwave blew anything around away.
Boom!
A red streak crashed into the city, creating a crater.
"Nice Kentra." Saquin gave the flying Kentra a thumbs up with his bloodied hand.
"You got him?" He asked eagerly.
"Of course not." Saquin scoffed. "Buckle up, this is going to be hard... and fun."
"What buckle up, I am out of Senar." Kentra raised his hands up.
"How is that possible, you just used your Ability once." Saquin raised one finger and almost shoved it into Kentra's face.
It was at this time that.
"It's a Single-Invader Access! A solo Abyss-type! That means he's the only monster coming through, but he's powerful enough to conquer a planet by himself! Everyone below Adept, RUN!!!" Hank's Senar-boosted voice travelled through the city.
The city went up in noise as people all turned on their heels and burst into a run.
Saquin paid them no attention as the vampire had already climbed out of the crater. The vampire had taken his punch with a cross guard so it was still relatively fine.
It stared at Saquin for a moment before diverting his attention to Kentra.
Hiss.
Its fangs peeked out as it hissed at Kentra.
Voom!
A swift movement.
Just one.
That was all it took to behead his attacker.
Shadow Agent's body slumped to the ground. He had tried to attack from behind but ultimately failed. In fact it seemed the vampire took the attack as an insult as its aura rose violently into the sky.
Then.
Bloop.. Bang!
These two sounds echoed through the whole city as the vampire showed why it was deemed worthy enough to be the sole Access monster.
The population of the city dropped sharply from hundreds of thousands to barely twenty in an instant.
Blood manipulation + Domain.
The results were both instant and devastating.
A hammer descends with the deep seethed wrath of man on the vampire.
"Smash into pieces you evil vermin!!!"
Hank poured all his Senar into this one attack of his.
"Useless." The vampire hissed.
Boom!!!
The whole city shook from the desperate last attack by the tank like man.
When the dust cleared, the haggard form of the vampire holding the man's head in its hand by its chest was a purple sword.
"Die you fucker." Kristen spat through gritted teeth. Excluding Giant, all her subordinates were dead.
"This would have been enough if I had not already taken their blood."
The vampire slowly said each word as it gently turned to face the young beauty.
The blood around the city rose as the vampire took control of it all.
"As of now, I am invincible."
His wing lashed out in a swift motion and took her head.
She was prepared though.
Swap.
The head that rolled on the floor was that of the alien race Giant.
Kristen appeared in a random room of a distant skyscraper. She stumbled to the floor heaving and coughing. It was a good thing she still had that Artifact. If not,
She shuddered at the thought.
She was not able to recover enough before the building was pulverized by a gigantic blood slash.
She was not the only one under the attacks of the blood, with the city wide range of the vampire, no one was safe.
She had no sooner thought of this when,
Blood Exchange.
The vampire materialized in front of her.
Hmm, let's go all out.
She gritted her teeth as her aura spiked up, a torrent of electrical sparks travelled across her body.
"Let's see who is stronger bitch ass." She snarled at the closing undead.
"Unfortunately, I undoubtedly am." This was the last thing she heard before she felt her control over her sparks disappear and was swiftly decapitated.
The vampire stood there in the collapsed building, yellow lightning sparking up its body.
"I did not realize undead can have such Affinity." Saquin gently hovered in the sky nearby.
"You purposely allowed me to kill them. Are you so confident in beating me, Favored One?" The vampire smirked at him.
"Well, they are partially responsible for the death of thousands, so I feel it is just right they died." Saquin nodded. "And yes, I am confident. In fact, I can end this all right now with but a mere signal. But as the one with the most fault for the deaths, I think it is natural I end this on my own."
"I have the blood of thousands. You are not beating me." The handsome savage spoke in a finalized tone.
"Let's change that." The vampire looked at the distant figure giving him the middle finger.
Dark Contamination.
