Chapter 47: [ 11: 00: 00 ] To [ 11: 30: 00 ]
[ Welcome to the playground of blood ]
As soon as those words reverberated through the city and beyond, a wave of energy erupted from the center region of the city.
If one looked closely at the specific place the Access sprouted from, it would be discovered that it was exactly at the spot Saquin had teleported the LTV to.
It begs the question, was the Access Formation related to Simons delivery goods?
Or.
Was it purely due to Saquin's Unliving energy rousing the Dead Contamination of the surroundings, leading to a situation that was otherwise impossible to occur?
That question never once crossed Saquin's mind.
First, he never pinpointed the exact region that the Access Formation started or was taking place.
Second, there are better things to do.
Like.
"A domain." Nate muttered in a daze.
Saquin tilted his head at that.
What was a domain?
Scratch that, he knew what a domain was, it was in the name.
How do you do it?
That was the important question here.
Kentra helped shed a bit of light to the matter.
"A being of the high end Adept level."
It seems that would be the fourth level of power progression.
According to what he has seen. It was.
Senar Aspirant -> Senar Initiate -> Senar --- -> Senar Adept.
Actually a quick search would help him fill in the gap and expand it further, but he likes the little mystery solving he has going on. Plus, all Comms were as good as useless with the amount of Senar flooding the area.
I feel like I am being too relaxed.
Saquin just could not feel the same terror others were currently feeling.
He could not tell whether it was because he was confident in his strength or in his ability to escape with the Prince Of Space that keeps whispering in his ears about the comfort of falling into space, the void.
It might also be because he did not fully know the amount of deep shit they were in.
Actually, it was most likely due to the fact that he practically cannot feel fear.
Not from things like these, at least.
Lost in his world as usual, Saquin did not realize that the Access had now fully formed.
At the center region.
A vortex of energy violently stabilized and formed into a portal.
Through the portal, one could see another world.
A world of pure carnage and blood.
The sky was pitch red, occasionally lit up by a storm of yellow lightning. The ground was also colored red, from blood.
As far as the eye can see, corpses littered the floor like grains of sand.
The corpses were of different varieties.
Humans. Humans with pointed ears, elves. Humanoid beasts. Pure savage looking beasts.
The list was endless.
The ways they were felled was equally endless.
Close to the portal, there was a small mountain.
A mountain of corpses.
Atop the mountain sat an impossibly handsome man.
Even more good looking than Saquin.
It was a shame those looks were covered in grime and blood. His savage expression and the blood red eyes peeking through his blonde locks did not make his case any better.
He slowly stood up as red blood wings sprouted from his back.
"The war is over."
His soothing voice flowed out with the dry air of the Underworld.
"After an eternity, it is time to feast." A dangerous glint flashed past his eyes before he slowly walked down the mountain, opting against using his gigantic wings.
Back in the city, everyone waited with baited breaths as they stared hard towards the center area of the city.
They knew better than to run right now.
It would be rather counterproductive.
Against an Access spilling out endless savage Underbeasts, there was a better chance at survival in numbers. It was better than being beseeched from all sides or being taken down from behind.
It was in this moment of somberness and impending doom that Saquin decided he had enough.
His wings sprouted from behind him.
"Woah."
"Beautiful."
"Show off."
The girls could not help but admire the thing of beauty.
Saquin did not stick around to listen to their praises, and he especially was not waiting till he heard some request like "can I touch it?"
He shot up into the sky.
Viewing the city from his new vantage point, he could fully see the ruin it had become.
He did not linger on the sight as he pushed his Senar into his eyes, hoping to enhance his eyesight.
It did not work as well as he thought.
Was this the limitation of still being a Senar Initiate?
He dismissed the thought as he activated Frozen Gaze.
Using the sight related Ability naturally granted him enhanced eyesight. It gets better the more Senar he uses.
His sight pierced through the city to the portal, then into it.
He did not pay any attention to the environment there because as soon as his sight had pierced through into the portal, he was met with a pair of red savage eyes.
The eyes had something in common with him, they were dead.
And so was the man he was staring at.
A dead person.
An undead.
A vampire.
He did not need the confirmation of his Observe skill.
The dead part of him naturally told him.
And it also told him.
A dead man is nutritious.
Like he needed more motivation.
After all, he wanted his wings.
Voom!!!
Saquin's white form cut through the city in a streak.
Meeting him halfway was a red streak straight out of the portal.
Great minds think alike. The vampire also wanted his essence.
Boom!!!
Saquin and the vampire met and extended their greetings with their fists.
Naturally, Saquin lost the exchange.
He shot back through troves of buildings before forcibly coming to a stop with a burst of Senar and air from his wings.
The building he stopped came crumbling down around him as his gaze focused on the vampire again.
The vampire had also retreated a bit due to the collision but he was relatively fine.
Saquin looked down at his bloodied right hand.
"Well, this would be fun."
