Triple X System

Chapter 161: Kidnapped?

At first when the second explosion occured he'd thought it was xia and Ron. Transforming into that strange black entity from before. But apparently it wasn't but instead the undead mimic.

How dare you! The ant queen roared in rage her aura burst out. Sending Kyle xia and Ron skidding back while the mimic calmly remained in spot.

Stomping it's feet the ant queen blurred from sight appearing besides the mimic. Swiftly swinging one of her mandible claw at the mimic's neck.

Bam! A thick black spike rose from the ground shielding the mimic. Just before the ant queen attack connected completely destroying it to bits.

Swoosh! A figure moved fast in the dust moving in a straight line to the ant queen. Raising one of her legs she stomped down hard. Making a small crater.

I missed? She thought not seeing the mimic where she'd expected. Tilting her head to the side she avoided the black spear aimed for her eyes.

Opening her mouth wide she attempted to chomp the mimic midair.

A clone? Her eyes widened a bit seeing the mimic body dissipate into thin air. Based on reflex she took a big leap back just in time before multiple black spikes potruded out the ground where she stood.

You.. you're different. A look of excitement shone in her eyes staring at the mimic in front.

Why does it feels like-

Bam! A gunshot sound went off as the mimic dashed across the ground. Tossing the spear with strength aimed for the ant's head.

Tilting her head a bit she dodged the spear but was caught by the mimic's fist. Directly hitting the center of her skull.

Crack! A loud crack sound erupted followed by her body crumbling into tiny pieces.

I-it died? Kyle's eye widened a bit seeing the ant queen's body suddenly crumble into pieces.

Not only was she the ant queen, the strongest and leader of the ants here. But judging from her aura alone it toppled that of the mimic's by a margin. Not adding the skills and ability she hadn't used during the short fight.

So it made absolutely no sense seeing the mimic defeat her so easily.

Snow what's wrong?

[I'm just as confused as you. My sensors are clearly indicating she's the queen ant but something is off. It's like there's some other prescence here interfering with our senses.]

Listening to her a frown formed to Kyle's face not liking such news.

Facing the mimic was amongst one of the most toughest challenges he'd faced. So he wasn't so jovial facing another like him.

[Kyle am detecting movements in front.] Snow abruptly spoke snapping him from his thoughts.

Looking forward he could see a figure emerging from the hole. It wasn't a beast nor what he was expecting but entirely different.

Kimi.. he stuttered in shock seeing his separated aunt in front.

Kyle.. is that you? She asked a bit hesitant staring at him with caution.

Not responding he disappeared from spot embracing her in a big hug. Making her body jolt back in shock not expecting the hug.

It's me.. you're favourite nephew, Kyle. I-i thought I lost you. Kyle rapidly uttered with overwhelmed emotions.

Still in shock Kimi's eye twitched a bit hesitant this was real. Lifting her hand up it slowly made it's way to Kyle's hair. Giving it a light touch her body shivered more like an electric shock.

Kyle.. she cried tears streaming down her eyes as she hugged him tightly. Tears streaming down her cheeks like a broken dam. Just waiting for the right moment to release it built up contents.

There there.. it's alright now, you're safe. He said in a soothing tone gently patting her back while using the other hand to brush her hair.

Come we have so much to-

Rumble!

He didn't finish his words when an earth shattering rumble shook the ground. Making parts of the ceiling cave in on them.

Ahh! Kimi shrieked shoving Kyle to the hole just in time before a large rock fell. Completely seeling the entrance back.

No no mom! Dad! Kyle yelled punching the rock with all his strength.

Boom boom boom! The sheer force was outstanding but no matter how hard he hit the rock just wouldn't budge.

Damn! Not again. He muttered in frustration. Just when it seemed everything was turning around from him another spoiler emerged.

Hey.. it's alright Kyle, am here. Kimi softly uttered embracing him in a tight hug.

It's not, am just a failure. I shouldn't have dragged you all into this, am sorry. Staring at him a while a soft smile formed to her lips. Recalling the good times they had back on earth.

Knowing his personality she could tell he was a big softie underneath his poker face no matter how much he tried to hide it.

Kyle.. don't be too hard on yourself. No matter what happens we're in this together. She said gently brushing his hair.

Listening to her he felt somewhat relieved a bit. Reigniting the driving flame in his heart.

Thank you. He slightly bowed his head earning a giggle from aunt kimi.

Snow tell me there's another exit.

[There is but that's the thing. It's not just one but a whole bunch of exit here.] She said making Kyle raise a brow.

More than one exit? Why does that seem too good to be true. He questioned, already aware of the fact a castle had several hidden escape routes in case of an emergency. But this castle was built differently, more like a prison.

Are you okay? Kimi's soft voice pulled him from his thoughts.

Oh yeah, sorry.." Kyle awkwardly chuckled.

Let's find mom and dad and leave. He pointed earning a nod from kimi.

Walking down the narrow part there were signs of slash marks and holes. Indicating someone or something had been here.

This might be the way to the ants came from. He theorized with a frown.

Then that must mean we're getting closer to the nest.

There was no other way that led out of here and the holes weren't dug deeply to lead to anywhere. Hence placing this part as the only viable option towards the nest.

Guess there's no other way. Shaking his head they advanced forth through the only path. The air getting denser with a musky scent carried by a cold wind.

Walking some more they stopped at three large roughly dug out holes.

One must lead to the nest, can you pinpoint?

[I can't, something's interfering with my sensors again.] Snow said making Kyle's eye twitch a bit.

[But.. I can still detect the energy signatures. There's a low output of energy from the hole by the right. While the left and middle has a higher dispelled energy signature]

So we go right, right?

[I wouldn't jump to conclusions just yet. Though there's little energy being emitted from the right hole something seems off. There are various energy signatures varying with different creatures. Two being distinct to humans, being theirs and beasts.] She paused leaving a tingling sensation in kyle.

For some reason he loved listening to snow's explanations. Not only was her voice soothing but the info was vital and mostly played a huge part in his encounters.

[In this case being a beast aura. Usually when residing beasts leaves their habitat. The energy it contains slowly dispels over time until there's nothing left. Though this might seem good it isn't entirely safe. As it could be occupied by lower level beasts or something worse.] Listening to her he couldn't deny she was right.

So what are you implying we do? We can't just stay here, you know..

Not responding immediately she murmured some inaudible words. Deeply contemplating on something.

[Call it a hunch but I think we should go with the hole with the highest energy signature.]

What! Are you crazy? That's a straight trip to no return. Kyle inwardly exclaimed, debunking snow absurd idea.

[Tsk.. why don't you ask your dear aunt huh. I bet she had some wise words for you!] The latter angrily lashed out taken Kyle aback a bit.

Of course, now why didn't I think of that. A light chuckle escaped his lips earning some pouts from snow.

Taking a deep breath he could see kimi blatantly looking at the holes.

Hey kimi.

Yes Kyle?

I know this might not be the best time but I need to know. What happened back in vaanderwood? How did you get here? He asked wanting answers.

Hearing him she lowered her head a bit, her eyes solely fixed to the ground.

[Hmph.. what's wrong, cat cut her tongue?] Snow mocked making Kyle frown.

She's still in shock, like a normal being. Kyle retorded to which snow hissed.

He didn't know what transpired in vaanderwood but it wasn't good. It was his fault for dragging his women along with him and had failed to protect them. Losing everything to the cruelest of beings.

Hey.. it's ok if you don't wanna talk. I shouldn't have forced you, it's ok. Kyle softly whispered hugging kimi. Caught off guard her body jerked a bit in response calming down immediately under Kyle's grasp.

Thank you, I needed that. She smiled breaking the hug.

Would you think I was crazy if I told you I was kidnapped by a demon in Tokyo?
