Trembling At A High Altitude

Chapter 242: Excessive Bullying (3570 bonus chapters)

Li Teng didn't appear, but the sound of a gunfight came from upstairs.

Then came the screams of NPC soldiers; it seemed that several NPC soldiers were injured in this round of the gunfight.

"Go! Let's go up and help!" the Assault Rifleman hurriedly rushed to the staircase.

When charging up the stairs, they only saw the Sniper fleeing with an NPC soldier in a very sorry state, glancing back in panic as he ran.

"Where is he?" the Assault Rifleman asked the Sniper.

"I don't know." The Sniper looked completely baffled.

"Damn it!" the Assault Rifleman felt a surge of frustration in his chest that he just couldn't vent.

Powerless, despite having a weapon far more powerful than his opponent's, he could never catch sight of him. Instead, he was constantly mocked and humiliated, with the NPC soldiers around him being picked off one by one.

"We are too few; we should join forces." The Sniper suggested to the Assault Rifleman.

"Fine," the Assault Rifleman answered with a gloomy face.

"I think we can't keep running around like this. We should hide somewhere, wait for him to come out, and then snipe him. You just have to make sure he doesn't get close enough to shoot me," the Sniper proposed.

"Let the boss protect you! I'm going to find him and kill him myself!" the Assault Rifleman spat out fiercely.

It was just too infuriating, an unbearable insult!

"Then give me your soldier," the Sniper said to the Assault Rifleman. Running around with a sniper rifle was far too dangerous.

"Take him, take him," the Assault Rifleman agreed impatiently.

Just then, gunshots came from the fourth floor, followed by the screams of NPC soldiers.

"Boom!" There was a muffled sound, like that of a Grenade Launcher.

The Assault Rifleman hurriedly rushed to the stairs.

The Sniper hesitated for a moment, then followed with two NPC soldiers.

"Boom!" Another muffled sound, again from a Grenade Launcher.

Finally, the Assault Rifleman and the Sniper arrived at the scene.

Two rooms nearby had been blasted open, and the ceiling had collapsed, filling the area with dust and smoke.

Number 5 was holding a portable rocket-propelled Grenade Launcher amidst the dust and smoke. Hearing the sound of footsteps approaching, he aimed the launcher in that direction.

"Boss! Don't shoot! It's us!" the Assault Rifleman quickly shouted.

Number 5 hurried over.

"How did it go? Did you kill him?" the Sniper asked Number 5.

"I don't know," Number 5 shook his head, his face full of fear.

The NPC soldiers around him were all down on the ground, wailing.

"Where are your soldiers?" After a while, Number 5 calmed himself down and asked the Assault Rifleman and the Sniper.

"They ambushed us," said the Assault Rifleman, his face showing his embarrassment.

"Same here," the Sniper sighed.

"Fuck! He's just a cheater! He shoots insanely accurate and runs fast, disappearing in the blink of an eye!" Number 5 cursed loudly.

"It seems like he likes to run on the outside of the building, jumping up and down, flipping around," the Sniper broke in.

"Yeah! I call bullshit on that! How could there be any place to move around on the outside of the building? Wouldn't he fall to his death?" the Assault Rifleman also said, with a stomach full of anger.

"What do we do now?" the Sniper asked Number 5 and the Assault Rifleman.

'Bang! Bang!'

Two gunshots rang out, and two NPCs clutched their thighs as they fell to the ground, screaming in agony.

The assault rifleman immediately sprayed bullets in the direction of the gunshots, while Number 5 readied his grenade launcher, aiming at the same location, only to realize his position was blocked by a wall. If he dared to fire, he would undoubtedly be the one getting blown to smithereens.

"Alright, now there's just the three of us left," the sniper's voice trembled.

The opponent was elusive, possessing the power to kill the three of them at any moment, yet not firing at them.

To put it plainly, they were being played with!

"You three are now surrounded by me, why not throw down your weapons and kneel to beg for mercy? Hahahaha..." Li Teng's taunting laugh came again through the loudspeaker.

"Fuck your mother!" the assault rifleman fired fiercely in the direction of the sound until his magazine was emptied.

Unfortunately, the bullets hit nothing but the distant walls.

"Time's almost up, my dear prey, are you ready? The most exciting act is about to begin, it's time for your slaughter. Hahahaha..." Li Teng's voice came from another location.

"Stop shooting! You're wasting all the bullets!" Number 5 saw the assault rifleman lifting his barrel again and hurried to stop him.

"So mindless, continuously giving away our position," the sniper couldn't help criticizing the assault rifleman.

"Blame me? It's all because you're too much of a coward!" The assault rifleman was already furious, and the blame only made him angrier.

"Bang!" A gunshot rang out.

The assault rifleman screamed and sat down on the ground, his heel blown open with a bullet hole, his bones shattered.

Li Teng kept his word; the torture had truly begun.

This time Li Teng wasn't using a handgun, but a rifle he'd picked up from an NPC soldier!

"Stop arguing! Let's find a place to hide!" Number 5, together with the sniper, helped up the assault rifleman, looking around in fear as they supported the injured man towards a room with an intact door nearby to take cover.

Once inside, the three huddled in the corner, gasping for air.

The sniper positioned his rifle towards the window, ready for Li Teng to suddenly make an attack from there.

The assault rifleman, holding his severely injured and excruciatingly painful leg, kept on screaming.

"Can you please stop yelling? Do you have to report our position to him every moment?" the sniper said to the assault rifleman, somewhat helplessly.

"Try getting shot like this and see if you don't scream, motherfucker!" Tears came out from the assault rifleman's eyes, as he was skilled in sharp talk, but when it came to bearing the actual pain of his wounds, he couldn't endure it at all.

The sniper didn't make any more noise, gripping the gun tightly and staring at the window.

Number 5's expression was somewhat numb, the numbness that followed extreme fear.

The assault rifleman continued to wail, interspersed with curses, eventually turning into cries.

Li Teng was silent for a good while, and they didn't know what he was up to.

But this silence filled the three of them with even greater fear.

For not knowing when death would come was more terrifying than death itself.

And more terrifying than death was the torture Li Teng had in store for them.

However, this silence did not last long.

It was quickly replaced by another sound, even more terrifying.

Li Teng seemed to have come outside their door, bombarding it with shotgun blasts.

Fucking hell! Was he really so disdainful of them? Could someone be so bully?

'Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!'

The shotgun fired again and again, shattering the wooden door to their room.

Each blast was like a punch to their hearts, making their bodies tremble involuntarily.
