Transmigrated into the Most Hated Scum. My Wives are Plentiful!

Chapter 73: Wifey Wants to Kill Me

Again, some judges snapped to their feet out of shock. Because what Koul had just proposed wasn't anything small.

The judges were gods of this world. Everything was under their watch, and nothing escaped them. At least that was how it was until some abnormalities started happening.

They found themselves discovering events they didn't foresee or know about happening. Like their eyes had a blind spot and the power behind these abnormalities seemed to be aware of it.

No matter how much they tried to find things out, they found themselves with no results.

Yet, a mere mortal who was transmigrated here not too long ago had found it out?

The death of the real Koul had remained a mystery to them, but maybe not anymore.

However, Koul's demand wasn't what they could exactly agree to even if his information was important to them.

|| I'm sure you do not know this, but, you aren't the only soul that has transmigrated into this world, || a judge revealed.

Koul's eyes widened in shock.

I-I'm not the only one?! That means there are people from my world here?!!

He was stunned.

|| As such, total freedom isn't part of what we can give even if we wanted to. ||

Liars! You can if you want. Not like there's anyone to punish you for anything.

But still, I can't believe there are others like me.

"If that's so, the information must not be valuable then. I'll take my leave."

He bowed. The only time he'd done that voluntarily. And it was to spite them.

|| Wait! || a judge yelled.

|| We might not be able to give you this, but surely, there's something else you want, isn't there? ||

Koul gazed quietly at the judge for a brief moment before shaking his head.

"There's nothing else I want."

His tone was firm.

|| Then… 50% of freedom, || a male judge from the higher tier who hadn't said anything since the beginning, said.

He was leaned forward in his seat and his head rested against his hand with ease. The air around him was calm.

The other judges snapped their gazes at him. They were surprised but thinking about it, they realized they could make do with this.

After all, it was a very important piece of information Koul was holding.

Koul stared up sternly at the judge who had just spoken. He maintained a calm energy.

"90%," he blurted.

There was a wave of gasp, followed by roaring comments.

|| How dare you be greedy? ||

|| You were offered 3 golds yet you demand the whole chest? ||

|| How impudent! ||

Koul said nothing to them. He'd known them to act like this. And this was one of the reasons that made him want to strive faster to eliminate them.

A world without judges might be the best.

Or maybe not because a world always needs order.

Then, a world with judges under my control will be the best.

I'll still kill them though...

Calmly, the judge who proposed Koul 50% of his freedom, spoke.

|| 60%. ||

"95%"

|| 61% ||

"96%…"

The other judges watched the negotiation between Koul and the judge in silence. Even if handing Koul some percentage of his freedom did them no good, they were willing to compromise just for the information.

After a long while, Koul exhaled aloud. He was tired and frustrated. The judges made it clear that they were stingy with his freedom.

So he decided to compromise, for now.

"Fine then. 65% of my freedom. No more, no less!"

There was a delayed response from them. Only whispers and murmurs as they decided on what to do.

After a while…

|| Then we have come to a deal. We will now return 65% of your freedom back to you. ||

Eh! They're surprisingly quite easy. I thought they'd want me to spill the beans first before giving it.

Guess they're just confident they could kill me if I act up, aye.

The judges materialized a glowing scroll before them. They seemed to write some things in it with magic before they let it float toward Koul.

|| Let's seal this with your blood. Sign there. ||

Before he did what they asked of him, his eyes swept through the entirety of the scroll. Only when he was sure it was about what they'd discussed did he move to act.

He took his thumb into his mouth, intending to make a cut but it was surprisingly hard. His teeth couldn't bite hard enough to make a cut.

|| Weakling! || A female judge commented.

Koul's thread of patience snapped apart instantly. He angrily bit his thumb, then smeared the blood on the area that needed his signature.

The scroll glowed and floated back to the judges.

After a moment, the judges pushed a glowing blue orb toward him. It shimmered elegantly.

It was about the size of a teenager's fist.

|| That is 65% of your freedom. Best to keep it well. Lose it and it'll return back to us. If it does, we're never giving it back regardless of the deal. ||

Koul wrapped his hand around it and gazed at it.

Just like the mark the system says is on my ear as a seal of bond between me and Nienai.

Come to think of it, did I ever even check to see if it was really there? His face turned into a lazy, deadpan look.

|| So now, can we know how the real Koul died?||

Koul calmly put the orb inside his inner garment and gazed up at the judges boldly.

"Ah that, I don't know yet, but give me three days and I will find out."

|| ….. ||

|| ….. ||

|| ….. ||

"….."

|| Burn! || A judge went ablaze in flames, literally.

"What's with all this fuss? I said I'll find out within three days, and I will. Stop acting like you can't put an end to me anytime if I don't bring it to you after the three days."

Koul was calm, if anything more, he was even slightly irritated.

The judges stared displeasingly at him. Their faces were contorted in disgust and irritation. They really didn't like Koul. Really, really, not even a tiny weeny part of their intestines liked him.

|| Just leave. ||

They waved him off lazily.

"Then, I'm sure this percentage of freedom allows me act as I deem fit from now on and many more."

|| Tch! ||

Koul dispersed like scattered ashes and drifted away.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

In his chamber, his eyes slowly opened. He immediately rummaged through his clothes and when he felt the orb, he exhaled aloud.

I need to start preparing to leave right away.

He rose to a sit on his bed, intending to call on Kanstiv to come get him ready.

But—

A shadow lurked at the side of his bed. Since the room was dim, he couldn't really see who.

Koul flinched and moved back hastily to put some distance between them.

"W-who..?"

The person didn't respond. But after Koul's eyes adjusted properly to the room, he came to see the person clearly.

A familiar person, one of his wives, but not one he was so familiar with.

Remi.

She sat like a statue and stared bizarrely at Koul. The way her eyes zeroed on him unmovingly stirred him with eeriness.

She screamed danger.

As if her mere presence in his room and her creepy stare hadn't done enough to make Koul almost shit his pants, he realized there was a knife in her grasp.

She.. she came to kill me?!
