Transmigrated into Another Apocalyptic World (BL)

Chapter 356: Camille's situation 8

So, the others were training even harder to save themselves in unexpected situations.

Luciel didn't bother watching their training anymore and went to their room to sleep.

Even though Treyton and the others had set up heaters on the third and fourth floors where they were staying, it still felt cold, so Luciel didn't remove his jacket and kept himself covered with a comforter.

He enjoyed his warm sleep and only woke up when it was already evening.

When he woke up, Nina and Richard were already preparing dinner.

So, he just sat on the sofa and started reading comics while waiting.

Most of the other members had also finished their own training and were in the lounge waiting for dinner.

Zam and Camille still weren't around, so they were probably still in one of the rooms on the third floor.

But even though they weren't there, the others weren't gloomy anymore and were already chatting with each other, unlike the downbeat atmosphere at lunch earlier.

At least their dinner was turning out to be more enjoyable than their lunch.

After dinner, the others didn't rush to do their own things but stayed in the lounge, as Yang had to brief them on some of their arrangements.

It was probably about what Treyton, Yang, and Wes had been discussing that morning.

Luciel wasn't interested in it but didn't leave since he wasn't sleepy anymore. So, he just stayed and continued reading the comics he'd been reading earlier.

But they hadn't even gotten halfway through the briefing, and he had also only read a few chapters when they heard some people going upstairs, and after just a few seconds, they heard Camille's voice when they heard footsteps going upstairs. A few seconds later, they heard Camille's voice.

"Hello, guys! I'm awake and didn't become a zombie!" Camille said loudly.

It was obvious he was in high spirits, laughing after speaking.

"Camille!"

"Good to see you awake! How are you?"

"Camille! It's nice to see you up!"

"Big Brother Camille! Are you okay now?"

"Aw, we waited for Big Brother Camille downstairs for so long, but you didn't wake up!"

"Big Brother Camille! You're finally awake!"

"You're finally okay!"

"Camille! You're finally awake! How are you feeling?"

As soon as the others saw and heard Camille, they immediately greeted him and asked how he was.

The kids, who had been waiting for him, stood up to embrace him while asking a lot of questions and saying a lot of things.

Once the kids had their fill of hugging Camille, the rest of the group joined in, giving him the same warm welcome. So, it took at least five minutes before he was finally able to sit on the sofa in front of Luciel and Treyton.

"Nice to see you awake," Luciel said with a smile.

It's really nice that Camille is finally awake; with him around, he would probably be able to watch some fun things happen from time to time.

"It's good to see you're fine. Congratulations on surviving, Camille," Treyton also said.

"Sorry for saying all that nonsense yesterday. I'll still be in everyone's care for a while longer!" Camille said, looking at him, Treyton, and then everyone else.

"Don't worry. Just continue to improve. It benefits everyone," Treyton replied.

The others also chimed in afterward, saying they were just taking care of each other, so there was no problem at all.

"So, how does it feel to be invaded by the zombie virus, and what power did you awaken?" Nathan asked curiously.

"Being infected by a zombie virus is really not a good thing at all. At first, I didn't feel any changes, but as the infection continued to spread, it felt like I was slowly dying.

Maybe it was because the virus spread so slowly, but it really felt like I was dying piece by piece. I began becoming numb, and slowly I couldn't feel or move my body. Even my thought process started to slow down.

I was talking to Zam at the beginning, but after a few hours, I couldn't even think of what to say, and I couldn't properly hear what Zam was trying to say by the end.

Then, after becoming numb, I started feeling again, but the first thing I could feel was pain.

It was probably because I was becoming someone with superpowers, which is why I started feeling again, but it was incredibly painful.

If I hadn't felt my body parts, those I had lost sensation in, slowly coming back, I would've given up and just lost consciousness," Camille said, pausing before adding with conviction, "I don't ever want to feel that kind of pain again, so I'll definitely be more careful and train harder to become stronger."

"How painful was it?" Vivian asked curiously.

"For me, it felt like a lot of blades were stabbing into my body, slowly grinding and cutting through me," Camille answered.

"Wow, that sounds unbearable. Thankfully, you persevered," Vivian said with relief, then praised Camille, "You're amazing!"

"Yeah, I didn't think I could endure that kind of pain either. After waking up, I even thought I was a bit awesome for withstanding it," Camille said, flashing a confident smile.

"So, what power did you awaken?" Luciel asked.

"When I woke up, I tried to use my ability with Zam's guidance and found out that I have fire powers, but it's a bit strange," Camille said with a frown.

"How is it strange? Can you show us?" Nathan asked.

"It's strange because, unlike normal flames, mine are redder in color, and the fire isn't hot at all, but it can still burn things like normal flames. Look, here it is," Camille said, demonstrating his fire superpower to the others.

"It's definitely redder than the flames we're used to. Let me touch it," Nathan said, reaching out to touch the flame Camille had conjured.

"Wow! It's really not hot at all," Nathan said, repeatedly touching the flames in disbelief.
