Chapter 322: After the attack of the birds 7
Well, they were also scheduled to go out of the base, so he could probably train outside to improve his physical strength.
They were supposed to leave today, but with the bird attack, they would probably postpone it for a few days.
So, during the remaining days, he could still ask Treyton and the others for a spar.
After deciding what to do in the coming days, Luciel didn't stay in bed any longer and got up, planning to head downstairs for a meal.
He hadn't managed to eat anything for dinner last night because he went straight to sleep after returning from outside.
He had only fought for a few hours and was already too exhausted to eat dinner, which clearly showed he needed to improve his physical strength.
When he used his hands to push himself up, he felt a sharp ache just from touching the bed.
As he sat up and looked at his palms, he noticed several new bruises and other marks.
Yesterday, he had worn combat gloves, so the bruises weren't that serious, but unfortunately, his hands were still somewhat delicate.
He hadn't used weapons in a long time, and since his hands had been properly maintained because of his work as a model, it was easy for them to bruise from prolonged use.
Well, after the training he planned, his hands would surely toughen up enough not to bruise after just a few hours of fighting.
He didn't stare at his hands any longer and simply left the room; he was honestly already starving.
When he went downstairs, only a few people were in the living room. The rest were probably busy with their own things.
The ones present in the living room were the kids, along with Camille, Lottie, and a few others they were treating.
Camille and Lottie were rebandaging and cleaning the wounds that others had sustained during yesterday's fight.
Aunt Cana was still in their villa as well and was already teaching the kids how to draw.
When they saw him coming down, they all greeted him, and Luciel greeted them back before heading to the kitchen to look for his breakfast.
Luciel noticed that Nina and the others had prepared more food than usual. Well, a lot of them probably hadn't had dinner either—most had gone straight to rest after getting treated or cleaning up a bit, just like he had.
"Is your hand okay?" Camille asked.
Camille had probably noticed he was eating more slowly than usual and guessed something was wrong with his hands.
"Yes, they're just a bit sore from yesterday."
"I know how to give massages. People have said mine are really effective for easing sore muscles. Do you want me to massage your hands for you?" Lottie offered.
It seemed Lottie was really quite versatile, even knowing how to give massages.
"Nice, but just massage me later in the evening. I plan to do some training first," Luciel said, continuing his meal.
He'd already decided that he would begin continuous training, so it was better to start earlier. That way, he could reach his goal sooner and finish the intense part of his training faster.
There was no need to waste another day resting when he knew he could still fight. Pushing himself to train even while tired and sore from the day before could also count as endurance training.
It would be better for Lottie to give him a massage in the evening when it was time to rest. And if her technique was as good as she said, maybe she could do a full-body massage. At least then he could recover more quickly from sore muscles and wouldn't have to feel so stiff every day.
"Y-you're going to train?" Camille asked in surprise.
"What are you so surprised about? It's just some training," Luciel replied, continuing to eat without paying much mind to the surprised expressions of the others in the living room.
"True, it's just training, but I haven't seen you train at all since coming here. Most of the time, you're either watching movies or playing games. And from what I've heard, you've been living that kind of laid-back life since the beginning. So, yeah, it's surprising to hear you mention training," Camille explained.
"Indeed. And I still want to continue living like that. Unfortunately, to be lazy, you need the strength to afford being lazy. So, I'll have to train for a while until I reach my target before I can go back to living that very leisurely life."
Luciel could afford to live a relaxed lifestyle, watching movies and playing games, because he was confident enough in his ability to survive. That confidence let him live without worry, which made his leisure feel truly peaceful.
But he could only live that way because he had the capability to back it up. If he wasn't sure he could survive long-term, then even if he wanted to relax, his mind wouldn't be at ease.
Without that confidence, no matter how many games he played or how many movies he watched, it wouldn't feel like true leisure, because he isn't truly at ease if he isn't strong enough.
Luciel didn't want to be weighed down by such trivial thoughts, so he knew he had to train for the time being to strengthen his physical condition to the level he aimed for.
Of course, Luciel wasn't the type to dwell on things endlessly. But he still wanted to make sure his strength was solid enough that he wouldn't face problems later.
He just wanted to continue living his carefree life with the support of Treyton and the others, but at the same time, he had to ensure that even on his own, even when surrounded by enemies, he would still be able to survive without issue.
"By the way, where are Treyton and the others?" Luciel asked.
"They're already training in the other villa," Camille replied, then asked curiously, "How are you planning to train then? Are you going to train with them?"
