Chapter 321: After the attack of the birds 6

He didn't tolerate cheating at all. If he wanted to be with someone else, he always ended the contract first before pursuing a new relationship.

So, Ron, who had even suggested getting back together with him right in front of Luciel, wasn't a good choice for the team at all.

Treyton had indeed asked Zam and the others to look for people with good abilities who could join the team.

However, their team could still accept people without outstanding abilities, depending on the circumstances. That's why they also had quite a few members without superpowers.

For the team, one of the most important criteria was, of course, that the person wouldn't cause problems.

With Ron's personality, it was obvious that he would stir up trouble after joining, so there was no chance of him being accepted into their team.

Treyton didn't know why Ron was suddenly appearing in front of him again, but even if he was here to ask for another chance, the answer would still be the same.

"I've really suffered a lot, especially yesterday. My place was even destroyed. For the sake of our past relationship, can you at least take me in for a few days? I'll definitely work hard," Ron said, acting pitiful.

"The base has already made arrangements for people whose living areas were destroyed, so you don't need to worry about that. You also have an ability, so it shouldn't be hard for you to find a place to work," Treyton replied.

The base had made adequate arrangements for everyone affected, and Ron didn't even have any visible injuries. It was clear he hadn't fought with the birds at all and had successfully evacuated with the others. He didn't even look tired, so the "suffering" he mentioned was clearly exaggerated.

They had worked hard the entire day yesterday and never once complained about suffering. Hearing someone who clearly hadn't contributed now complain as if he had it worse just felt like he was dismissing all their efforts.

Ron obviously had an ability, and he could certainly survive on his own. In fact, many other teams might even be willing to recruit him. He didn't need to cling to theirs.

He claimed he just wanted to be taken in for a few days, but it was clear he had other intentions if he were ever allowed to stay.

He had heard plenty of such superficial reasons in the past, and it was obvious they were just cover-ups.

"So don't try to find ways to join the team or appear in front of me again, because you won't be accepted into the team at all.

You have plenty of chances to join other teams, so stop bothering me. If you keep pushing it, then you'll have to deal with the consequences of your actions," Treyton said before turning and leaving.

If Ron really didn't take his words to heart and kept making up excuses to show up in front of him, Treyton wouldn't mind making sure he no longer had the time or opportunity to do so.

Because of Ron's interruption, Treyton no longer lingered in the military area and simply returned to their villa.

When Luciel woke up the next day, he could feel the pain in his arms. It seemed his arms still hadn't recovered from the overexertion during yesterday's events.

Even though he had been training regularly in their space for a few hours every day and his strength had also improved along with the growth of his ability his body still wasn't strong enough.

If it were, he wouldn't be feeling this sore just from one day of continuous exertion and he wouldn't even be in pain after just a full day of using his arms nonstop.

In his past life, he could keep fighting for days with only a few minutes of rest between hours of combat.

Even though he'd feel tired, he wouldn't feel this kind of soreness after just one day of fighting.

The appearance of the bird flock served as a reminder to Luciel that he really needed to push himself a bit harder to strengthen his physical body.

He needed to strengthen his body more so that it could really keep up with him. He should train his body again so that at least he wouldn't have any problems even if he continued fighting for three days straight.

In the novel, there had been no mention of a bird attack at all. It seemed that, in the same timeline of the book, Treyton and the others had been away from the base and only returned a few months later.

It was only briefly mentioned that the base had been attacked and had suffered significant damage. However, by the time Treyton and the others came back, the base had probably already recovered.

Since it wasn't written in detail, Luciel had forgotten about it and only remembered it after thinking back on the events in the book.

With the appearance of the birds, a lot of other creatures would also begin appearing in great numbers, so Luciel knew he had to focus more on strengthening his body.

He had been a bit lazy and was only training enough to strengthen his body a little so that he wouldn't feel tired and paralyzed just after fighting for hours continuously.

But this time, it was clear he couldn't afford to be lazy with his physical training anymore. His body needed to be strong enough to keep fighting for days without suffering serious aftereffects.

It seemed his leisure time would need to be cut short, at least until he had strengthened his body to the level he wanted.

Once he reached that point, he could return to his usual routine and only train enough to simply maintain his strength so that he wouldn't regress.

Of course, this time, even training inside their space wouldn't be enough.

The best way he could think of to quickly strengthen his body was through continuous fighting. So he'd have to ask Treyton and the others to spar with him regularly.

And if those spars didn't help him improve fast enough, then he'd have to go out and fight zombies and other creatures outside the base continuously.
