Chapter 23: Teaching Ashlee to tie up Zombies

When Nina woke up, she was very flustered, seeing herself tied up with the others.

As soon as she saw him, she immediately asked, "Sir Luciel, what's happening? I didn't do anything wrong, did I?"

"Nina, you finally woke up!" Luciel said with a wide smile. Seeing Nina awake really made him happy. With her awake, he and Ashlee could finally stop eating sandwiches for their breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

"Wait a bit, I'll just cut the ropes for you," Luciel said, going to where Nina was and freeing her.

"Sir, why am I and everyone tied up?" Nina asked after she was freed.

"You remembered fainting, right?"

"Yes, I did faint last night," Nina said.

"It's not last night; this is already the second day after we fainted. You are tied up because you might not have woken up. You can understand it by looking there and by looking outside," Luciel briefly explained while pointing at the tied-up zombie Rick and outside.

Nina followed what he said and looked outside. Yesterday, he and Ashlee only saw the zombie guard and other roaming zombies in the afternoon. Now that it was already the second day, the road clearly showed some bloodied zombies here and there.

They obviously ate someone already. And some who weren't completely eaten could be seen roaming around, even though they weren't completely intact.

As soon as she saw those things roaming outside of the villa, Nina visibly paled. She also looked at the zombie Rick and became even paler.

"Sir, you mean I might turn into something like that?" Nina asked.

"Yes, I'm not sure what happened, but those that have visible black veins weren't alive anymore; their hearts aren't beating anymore, and they also don't have any consciousness; they just instinctively want to eat others, just like the zombies in the movies."

"So, Rick is already dead?" Nina asked with red eyes.

"Unfortunately, yes, the one that is currently tied up is just a zombie that wants to eat others. We will deal with him later on after Treyton wakes up," Luciel said shortly, going back to where he was originally sitting.

"Auntie, why are you crying?" Ashlee asked.

"It's nothing; auntie is just sad that a friend left," Nina said while trying to stop her tears.

They should have been working for Treyton for a long time, so she would definitely be sad about him turning into a zombie.

Nina cried and calmed down afterwards, even though her complexion still wasn't very good. She began doing her duties, especially after finding out that they only ate sandwiches for their meals. She was astounded and immediately went to cook dinner.

After seeing hot dishes again, Luciel and Ashlee's eyes shined, and both of them started eating immediately as soon as all the dishes were on the table.

As soon as they finished their dinner, both of them relaxedly sat on their chairs while waiting for others.

"Brother, that uncle over there started to have black lines," Ashlee said.

Luciel also saw it, so he immediately stood up and went over to one of Treyton's bodyguards.

The veins turned black very fast when he was in his seat; he only saw them on his hands, but now that he was near, he could see them on the face. After just a few seconds, it opened its eyes and started moving; it had already become a zombie.

He was already sleeping last night, so he didn't see how Rick turned into a zombie. It turned out that it happened very fast. It didn't even last a minute.

Seeing another person become a zombie again, he could only sigh. He went to get gloves and ropes again.

"Brother, are you going to tie him up even more?" Ashlee asked.

"Yes, I need to tie him up again because they are dangerous."

If they kept struggling around to be free because they could smell a lot of humans around, then they might really free themselves because they don't feel any pain. Even if their hands broke as a result, they wouldn't feel it, and they would just go and bite those that were near them.

"I will also learn from big brother," Ashlee said seriously.

It seemed that Ashlee really wasn't afraid of the zombies, as she even followed him near the bodyguard, who turned into a zombie. She even saw that the bodyguard zombie was already struggling around, trying to free itself, and even opening his mouth, trying to reach something to bite, but still wasn't afraid.

Unlike Nina, who was already very pale, she was clearly afraid and sad that one of the people she knew had been turned into another zombie.

"Ok, I'll teach you how to tie them up properly. You still can't do it yourself because you lack strength, but it is still good to learn it now. You can even teach it to others later on," Luciel said while wearing gloves.

"First, you need to wear gloves as basic protection, because we still don't know if they could infect others," Luciel said, even though he already knows from the novel that those who have superpowers wouldn't be infected by the zombies.

Even if they got injuries from the zombies, they wouldn't turn into one unless the zombie that injured them had a higher level than them. He was only telling Ashlee because there were still ordinary people around. As for himself, he was only wearing gloves because he didn't want to get dirty.

"Next, you should secure their heads so that they can't bite you," Luciel said as he held the zombie by its hair and put on clothes to block its mouth. Afterwards, he tied his neck around the railings to prevent it from bending down to bite.

"Then you could tie them around their shoulders and legs," Luciel said while demonstrating it.

"That's the end of it," Luciel said after tying the zombie tightly.

"Did you remember everything?"Luciel asked Ashlee, who seriously watched the whole process.

"Yes, I remember everything," Ashlee answered while nodding.

"Ok, don't forget what you learned; you could teach it to others later," Luciel said with a smile.
