Chapter 24: Treyton Finally Woke Up

When Treyton woke up, he could tell that he was tied up. He still remembered that he fainted last night with the others. So, he immediately opened his eyes to see what situation he was in.

When he opened his eyes, he saw that he was still on the rooftop. But the scene in front of him was surprising.

He could see Ashlee throwing knives at the flowerpot, and Luciel seemed to be playing something on his phone. The two of them have a leisurely air around them, which is very different from everyone around them. Nathan, Calvin, Yang, and his bodyguards have sad and pale faces.

He could also see that some were tied up too tightly, which could be said to be cruel, but he could also see that they were strange, so he didn't dwell on it first and looked at Luciel again.

As soon as he looked at Luciel, he saw him look in his direction and say with a smile, "Oh, you are finally awake."

When the others heard it, they immediately looked at him. The one who reacted the strongest was Nathan, who immediately came running to him with scissors.

"Treyton, you are finally awake; do you know that my worldview has been broken many times in the past few days?" Nathan said while cutting down the ropes that tied him.

"What happened? Can you explain the situation first?" Treyton asked.

"Look outside, and you can immediately understand that our world has changed," Nathan said while sighing.

Hearing what Nathan said, he stood up and looked outside. He could see some blood on the roads, and those that looked like zombies were roaming around. He could see some intact with only visible black veins around them, and while some were obviously in no condition to be walking, they were still walking around.

"What happened?" Treyton asked again. He only fainted for a night, and all of a sudden, the things that were just in some movies were suddenly appearing in real life.

"How long do you think you slept?"

"You mean I didn't faint, just faint last night? How long was I out?" Treyton asked.

"It's been five days already."

"I slept for that long? What happened in the last five days?" Treyton asked with a frown.

"I only woke up two days ago. Do you know how shocked I was to wake up while being tied up and see Ashlee playing with surgical knives around? She was even the one who freed me from the ropes with a dagger. At that time, I was really afraid she would accidentally injure me.

Afterwards, I learned that the ones who tied all of us up were Luciel and Ashlee, as they were the first ones to wake up. They were wary of us waking up as zombies, so they tied all of us to the railings.

According to Ashlee, the first to turn into a zombie was Rick; he turned into a zombie the next night after we fainted, and Luciel tied him up thoroughly."

"Why is it, according to Ashlee?" Treyton asked.

"Because Luciel was too lazy to recount what happened. That's why he let Ashlee recount what happened."

"Ok, I see." With Luciel's personality, he would likely be that way.

"Then, what happened next?"

"The next day, Nina finally woke up in the afternoon, which both of them were happy about. Because, according to Ashlee, Luciel can't cook, they have been training and are only able to eat sandwiches for their meals.

That day, Loyd also turned into a zombie. Ashlee happily shared that he also learned how to tie up the zombies properly because Luciel showed how to do it.

The next day, I woke up in the morning and was freed by Ashlee. I haven't even fully digested what happened, but Sean suddenly turned into a zombie.

Luciel let me tie up Sean, who turned into a zombie, because he doesn't want to move anymore. They really act like the zombies in the movies. As soon as Sean turned into a zombie, it immediately wanted to look for someone to bite.

The one who even instructed me on how to tie up the zombie properly was Ashlee.

Afterwards, all the others began to wake up one by one. You are the only one who didn't wake up yesterday."

"So, Rick, Loyd, and Sean didn't manage to survive and turned into zombies," Treyton said while looking at three tightly bound zombies.

It's quite sad to see them die just like that and even turn into monsters that would be a danger to others. They have been with him for a long time, so seeing them turn into zombies really leaves a bad taste in his mouth.

Looking at the three zombies tied up tiredly, he could finally understand why all the others were sad and, at the same time, very pale because of the appearance of the zombies.

"Unfortunately, yes," Nathan answered calmly. He likely calmed down after staying in this place for two days.

"Look at everyone, then look at the two of them. Luciel and Ashlee really have very good mental strength. They are still very relaxed, even though the zombies they tied up were just in the corner, and they could even hear screams from other villas from time to time, but they are still unbothered," Nathan said while looking at Luciel and Ashlee.

Treyton looked at Ashlee first and asked, "What is she doing?"

"She said she was training to become strong, so she would run 20 times around the rooftop, then she would start throwing knives at the flowerpot.

She totally became Luciel's little follower; she will always follow what Luciel says. Yang can't even do something about it."

"What's wrong with Ciel's hand?" Treyton asked as he saw the bandage around Ciel's hand.

"Ashlee said he didn't know, but she said that his hands were bandaged the second day. He likely punched the mirror in the bathroom the night Rick turned into a zombie. You can see the cracked mirror in the bathroom. Don't worry, I checked his hands a while ago, and they were healing properly."
