TM: Vengeance of the Indomitable and Crazed Shades

Chapter 13: Fighting and learning

Temorsth rushed forward without a word, knowing that his father wouldn't advance and it would just become a stalemate, he wanted to surprise his father with his new power.

The new Title, Experienced the Singularity, is a huge boost, this Title alone more than doubled his total power.

"Oho!" Taking advantage of his greater speed and agility, he charged toward his father, surprising him a bit with his speed.

Currently, Xalier had forced himself to a slightly stronger level than Tem was when they trained before they left, so now he was much weaker than Temorsth and yet instead of unleashing more power, he just stood there and slightly tilted the tip of his sword to receive his son's slash.

"It is strong but the course is off..."As Xalier slid Tem's attack to the ground, his words were light but not the normal playful tone he used but a more teaching one.

"...you are wide open after big attacks... *ugh*... Uh?" As Xalier was about to take a step to get behind Tem he was stopped by a kick that surprised him.

"HAH, don't look down just because I'm small!" Science Tem knew his father was better with the sword than himself so he used other tricks.

Temorst used his small and light body which was blessed with more agility and strength than any acrobat would dream of to push his body up from the small sword edged in the ground.

Using his body advantage, Tem pushed himself with one hand, and as he held the hilt with one hand he kicked one more time, or at least he tried to...

"Uh!" Xalier grabbed his ankle with his free hand and lifted him with ease, where there is an advantage there should be a disadvantage and as such, it was used against him.

"This is not swordsmanship..." A smile appeared on his face, Xalier was handsome, but this smile was not kind.

"...you said it..." Still holding his short sword, Temorsth turned his upper body and cut at his father's head, Xalier easily dodged by moving it slightly backward.

"What?..." As the slash passed him, Xalier shifted his head and asked, only to be surprised by a blue glow...

"This is a fight!" 'Work damn it!' As energy started to gather at his fingertip 'Fire!' Temorsth cast his first spell... as it was the first it was clumsy and couldn't even be considered basic... but still, it was enough for the start.

'What!?' Seeing a small blue orb in front of him, Xalier was surprised as it began to fly toward him.

It wouldn't even be considered a first-level spell, just a manifestation of mana in the form of the element closest to his nature...

'Magic!?' Even with his strength sealed Xailer's reaction speed was insane, he tilted his head to the left which made the ball pass by his face, he looked back at his son as he asked himself, 'Water?'

'Huh?!' As he thought about his instinct warned him again, this time it was a small silvery-white sharp metal piece flying toward him, but again he dodged it.

'Metal?' *Ugh* He was hit in the side by Tem's short sword. Xalier didn't notice this time as he was a bit confused by the two different elements he saw.

*Um...* Since his power was sealed he felt the hit, it brought him back to his senses. He threw Tem up and tried to hit him in the air.

Tem pushed himself away using magic, with open hands he shot a fist-sized ball of water at Xalier causing him to dodge, using a flip Tem landed on his feet right in time to defend the attack that came.

*Ugh...* Hit after hit *Agh* attack after attack, he defended and countered but... the difference was too great.

*AGH* He had no chance, neither did his greater strength nor his new magic help him before his father. *UGH...* He flew a few meters back from the flawless hit of his father to his stomach.

'Uh... what can...?' As he stood up he took a deep breath to calm his racing heart, he now had nothing to show, his magic and swordsmanship were easily neutralized by his father's experience.

Feral: 'Let me out I can do it just let me out!'

Original: 'All of us need to learn how to fight...' Personalities talked behind the scenes...

*Ugh* Holding his hurting stomach Temorsth felt the difference between using his power wisely or merely fighting with brute force. He knew how to use a sword, but he didn't know how and when to react to which attack, he didn't act instinctively.

*inhale* "Alright, let's go!" After a few more minutes of alternating attacks... "This..." *pant* *pant* Tem stood panting, his short sword pointed at the ground, unable to hold his sword properly because of how heavy his hand felt.

"What is it? Are you tired?" Xalier asked jokingly.

"Just... just a scratch... let's just make a scratch."

Feral: 'Isn't hits enough?! Now let me out!' '... Alright, just shut up...' Gathering all his remaining strength and endurance, he rushed forward.

"Ahhh... MOM!"

"Good, but it won't work." Xalier was still looking at his son.

"Now!" Temorsth fired both water balls, bullets, and pointed pieces of metal, all were easily deflected by Xalier, but as he deflected them Tem's wooden sword flew before his face, and at this time the door to the house slowly opened.

"Hm, useless..." The 'diversion' did nothing he easily grabbed the sword but in reality, it had a completely different purpose.

*rustle...* Xalier heard a strange sound but was drowned out by the sound of the door creaking open and when he realized what it was he looked down but it was too late.

"Got you dad!" He saw Temorsth's small body slide on the grass and several bullets flew toward his face.

*Ugh* He moved his head to avoid them but they were already in his face... and as the bullets flew past his face one passed too close...

"Yeah what is it?" Hearing Elah's voice, Xalier looked up.

"Uh...?" Looking in their direction, Elah saw her husband's face it was smiling, it looked so warm and truly happy that it was strange to know that he was a bloodsucking monster.

Temorsth stood up, a few meters behind Xalier and as he did he spoke to his mother. "Mom, mom, I scratched dad, look, look." Temorsth ran to his father he wanted to show his mother his hard-earned victory.

When Tem arrived in front of Xalier, Xalier looked down at his son and touched his shoulder.

"I see, you didn't train for naught..." Xalier was about to praise his son, but he saw Temorsth's face freeze and then turn into anger.

Persona: 'AHAHAH, you talk big Feral but you are nothing... AHAHA.'

"Ah, oh right...!" Xalier stopped, realizing that he had forgotten something, he hadn't turned off his regeneration ability.

"Oh no, you scratched me, son, I just heal up real quick..." He wanted to correct him, but he saw that his son was not listening to him, so he stopped again.

Thinking he didn't scratch Xalier, Temorsth turned and walked over to his sword to pick it up.

"Don't console me, father." He resumed his fighting position and prepared for another fight.

Seeing his son's determination, Xalier didn't speak, instead, he assumed his fighting stance, but this time he turned off the regeneration.

...

Falling on his back without the strength to get up, Tem turned his head to look at the setting sun.

"I need... more... power!"

"Ahahaha, you're stronger than most talents your age. Son, you just need a little more time to grow."

"But...how long do I have to wait...?" Temorsth staggered to his feet, thinking of the battlefield and the war he had seen.

He wasn't stupid, he knew why his parents never took him outside, and he still remembered what he heard when he was still just a fetus.

Once the war was over, he could be with his parents more and walk outside like anyone else his age. He wanted to be strong enough, and he had to be strong enough to be free.

'Aidana, how can I get strong as fast as possible?'

[The Host has become stronger, check it out.] Two windows appeared in front of him.

[Name: Sword Mastery

'Why now, I've trained so much and it's only now appearing?'

[The Host used mana to do the actions, so the body immediately memorized it, and because of the previous sword training, it rose to the Intermediate level, but since the Magic was only used for the first time, it was only acquired.]

'But... even this's not enough, I need more... is there no shortcut or something?'

[The Host should already know that there are no real shortcuts to true power, but...]

[The Host can choose a class, though I advise against it. ]

'Why? '

[The Host may get more and better opportunities if the Host waits a little longer.]

[If the Host chooses a class that the Host doesn't like, it cannot be changed, only a new class can be obtained, but this would put the Host one level behind the others, which is a big disadvantage.]

'You mean it's permanent, so I'll have to think about it and only pick one if I'm sure I wouldn't change my fighting style.'

[Yes.]

'Okay... I'll listen to you for now.'

Temorsth himself wasn't sure what he liked, he only used swords and learned attack magic from his mother... but now after learning all this, he was motivated to try other things and new kinds of weapons.

Temorsth and Xalier entered the house and his father, as always, pointed out his faults.

"...and finally, never let your enemy prepare." After a lengthy talk, his father came to a stop with these words.

"When did I..?"

"You let me take off my clothes, but we were already positioned so that a fight was inevitable, even if not then you should have at least attacked me before I took out my weapon."

"That..." 'I had never thought of it that way... I was not a warrior, despite learning various martial arts in our previous life, I only used it once in a real fight and it ended in "the body's" death...'

He burned every word of his father into his head. "Oh, right I almost forgot, mother please teach me how to use a bow."

"What? Why do you want...?" Elah heard her son say something she didn't understand, so she asked back.

"I haven't used a weapon other than the sword, so I want to learn a new one to find the one that suits me best, can you please help me?"

"Of course, I'll help, Sweetie." With these words, a time of training came again.
