Chapter 12: He is my son
'I need to punish him... Let's scare him a little...' Hearing Temorsth's surface thoughts of wanting to ask more questions she interrupted. With this, the perfect opportunity presented itself before her.
[Before further questions let the Host eat something, after the three-week coma the Host's MP and HP are not in a good condition.] A status window appeared showing Temorsth's HP and MP.
[Health points(HP): 1831/1301]
[Mana points(MP): 1863/1158]
"Oh, right...ugh..." Remembering that he didn't eat for three weeks his stomach started to ache, it was the epitome of the quote 'Ignorance is bliss'.
[The Host wasn't hungry because MP was replenishing the energy needs, but HP was constantly decreasing because Mana only gave enough energy to make everything work and not enough to be in excellent condition.]
As he was sitting on his bed again after Aidana stopped him from turning himself into a vampire because it was too early for him, he stood up and walked out of his room but before he could open the door he heard Aidanas voice again.
[One more thing, Host... This... The Host's parents didn't come back...]
[It was all just a dream that I created to keep the Host from going crazy... please stop looking for the parents who won't come back, please accept it and listen to reason...]
Hearing Aidana's melancholic voice, Tem lowered his head, he looked at the ground, his face hidden by his medium-length black hair.
'Ugh... Too much... ' As she saw Tem's fists clenching and his arms shake she thought.
[Host it was just a jo...]
"Never... never!" Hearing the break in his voice, she started to get angry at herself for doing this, but then…
"My parents would never go out to buy milk...!"
'Huh?'
Raising his clenched hand in front of his face, he tried to act cool, as he turned his head to look at the window which showed the back garden with magic.
"We have milk at home..." He continued with the second meme he remembered.
"The milk at home…" Aidana involuntarily followed his gaze and saw the three cattle-like animals with long and thick white fluffy fur, they had some black-brown spots on their backs and light blue eyes.
'Skirja...?' They were larger than normal cows.
Even she couldn't hold back a small chuckle at this point, but it didn't last long as she felt Temorsth's mind clear the fog.
'He did get scared... I swear, I never try tricks about this again...'
"Anyway, I'm super hungry..." Temorsth held his stomach as he opened the door with light words as if nothing happened.
"Mom...Dad...? Are they not home?" After coming out, he found that his parents weren't home but he didn't worry about anything, he learned from the golems that they came to see him every day.
"Then they should be home soon... but I'm really hungry..." Since it was almost lunchtime anyway, he started to eat alone, but even before he could finish the soup...
"Ah... don't... let me go, we are not even in..." As the door creaked open Temorsth heard his mother's voice.
"Uhm?" It didn't even take a second for Elah and Xalier to notice the presence of their son after the door opened.
"My baby..." Seeing that her child was up, Elah ran to Temorsth but the speed was so fast, it was just a blink and he was already in her embrace.
"Ah, my baby... mom missed you so much...!"
*Ugh* He was suffocating but Elah's thoughts were different.
"Don't be sad Mommy went to you every day, you were not alone...I know it was pain full, Mommy is sorry..." She was talking to Temorsth but in truth, she was describing her own emotions, they just came back and she couldn't even talk to her child so it was really painful for her.
*UGH* 'MOM I DIE!'
"I know baby, it is because a certain someone forgot that an Elixir of this caliber wouldn't take a child, hours but weeks to thoroughly process. He is just a stupid old man!"
*Agh* An arrow shot through Xalier's heart with Elah's words. "Honey..."
"What do you want!?" *UGH*
"If you do not want to kill our son let him breathe..."
"Oh, uh sorry..." *puhah* 'Ah air...' He was finally freed from the pressure of his mother's big chest.
'Mom is fast...and strong...' Temorsth was surprised, he just heard the door open and he only started to turn his head, when he was already in his mother's arms, and he couldn't even swallow the spoonful of soup that was in his mouth because of the force of the hug.
Elah looked at the man who closed the door of the house and asked in a grumpy voice.
"How can you be such a good strategist and outsmart your enemies in the middle of a battle, but you can't focus on one thing with your child?"
Xalier pushed back some of his long black hair that fell in front of his face to show his handsome and flawless face to the woman in front of him as he replied "In combat, there is rarely a beautiful woman who shows me her body."
"Pervert!" She puffed up her cheeks.
'I don't even wear anything revealing...' She was in a normal high-split dress white in color with gold and green embroidery, on her shoulders a cape with the same design and a long white fur scarf, all three of which were enchanted armor in a different form.
After swallowing the soup Temorsth hugged his mother back "Welcome home Mom, Dad!" as Temorsth looked up at Elah's face he joined the conversation.
"But mom, dad is right, few men wouldn't be tempted to jump on their wife when she wears such a dress, respect dad for not doing anything in front of me."
She looked at her son in shock, then looked up at her husband, with an angry face. "Look what you've done, he's talking like you! My baby boy, you shouldn't talk like this, girls don't like it."
"But mom..." With an innocent voice, a smile appeared.
"Yes, sweetheart?"
"Dad caught you... and if I could get a girlfriend as beautiful as you, Mom, I'd be blessed."
"..." She was speechless. She looked up from her son again with it she saw Xalier's face which was showing the smuggest face of 'He is my son' she had ever seen.
"You silver-tongued scoundrel, look how much you've corrupted my baby! Where is my innocent baby boy?" Elah burst into tears, *UGH* squeezing Temorsth even harder than before.
With the broken heart of a mother and with the proud heart of a father, they continued to eat lunch together.
As they ate, "According to my system, I was given more than seven years." Temorsth told them what he gained with the Elixir.
*Sigh* With a relieved sigh, they were glad, they had expected a worse outcome after hearing what the old man that supposed Immortal Emperor had said.
But in fact, it was mostly due to Aidanas help that Temorsth was able to fully absorb the Elixir's energy instead of wasting it, and this knocked him out for much longer than it originally would have, Yes, the real villain who kept the family waiting for three weeks was Aidana, not Xalier, but even she wouldn't understand that.
Right after lunch. "Ah right, Dad, I can become a real vampire! After drinking the Waters of Singularity, I can finally use Mana and Energy, my system said I can create my Vampire Core now."
"Oh, and son, what do you want? Don't feel pressured, I don't care if you become one or not, you can become powerful in many ways in The Realms."
"I've decided I want to, it's just… my system said I should wait a little longer until I'm strong enough to not be afraid of dangerous weaknesses."
"Yes, you should listen to... her?" Xalier said questioningly, he didn't know if his system was a he, she, or they.
"It's a she... or so I think." In retrospect, Temorsth only assumed Aidana was a woman from the female name and voice he heard when She spoke through the system.
[I'm a woman... hmph...]
"Ah, sorry, yes, she's a woman..." As he felt the atmosphere becoming awkward, he diverted the topic. "Anyway Dad, do you remember what you said before you left?"
"Of course I do, and did you succeed?"
"Obviously I've exceeded your expectations, I reached Intermediate Swordsmanship a few months ago."
Feeling his son's pride Xalier smiled and ask back. "And, you're confident?"
"Absolutely... not!" Xalier's smile broke as quickly as it appeared.
"How could I beat you father, even if you brought your power to my level you would still have more experience but..." and this time Temorsth began to smile.
"...at least I can scratch you..." Even this was arrogance considering the difference in age, strength, and experience, but Temorsth had some new cards that he had never been able to use before, and he wanted to surprise his father with them.
"Oh, let's see then. Let's fight my son!" Excited Xalier got up from the dining table.
"Wait for a second, mother please..." Elah stayed out of the conversation the whole time, she didn't want to disturb them, this was their time together.
"Yes?"
"Please heal me and replenish my Mana."
"Of course" Elah stood up and held her hand over Temorsth's head, a white and green light flashed and descended onto his body.
'Mom is a sort of a versatile mage, she could heal, attack, and enchant with light and nature magic.' Looking to the side, Temorsth saw his MP and HP rising rapidly.
He knew that in reality, until one's HP and MP were reduced to more than half, it did not affect mental and physical performance, but he wanted to be in perfect condition.
"Thanks, mom!" After this, he went to get his wooden sword from his room and then followed Xalier out of the house.
They positioned themselves a few meters apart and after Xalier closed his eyes and sealed off most of his power, "Then the battle starts now!" With the words, he began to undress. Seeing it Tem stopped his movement.
Xalier had been wearing a long black cloak most of the time, but he took it off when they started eating, and now he only took off his black and red suit and vest. Now he was only wearing a white shirt and black leather gloves on his upper body.
When he was done, one of the rings on his finger flashed with a small light and the clothes disappeared, then flashed again, but this time a wooden longsword appeared it was The Father's Sword.
He pointed the longsword at Temorsth and Temorsth did the same, but with his left hand instead of his right like his father.
Temorsth rushed forward without further words or actions.
