The Unruly Immortals

On the airplane, Li Huowang glanced out the window, observing the scenery, seeing the houses below that looked like matchboxes.

As he moved his left hand to his mouth slowly and opened it, revealing a black-and-white dice, which he had just picked up.

However, Li Huowang knew it wasn't just a coincidence; this was the dice.

While appreciating the view, Li Huowang asked the dice, as small as a fingernail, "What do you want by sneaking along?"

"Don't answer, even if you speak now I can't hear you. No matter how impressive you were before, now you're just a little thing in my hand."

"Dice, I don't know if you really helped last time. I'm now the Fate Commander, I can never return, but I can still influence over there."

"We've dealt with each other quite a bit, so we're acquaintances. Why not do what you do best?"

Li Huowang's gaze moved down, staring at the dice in his palm, "You can't help here, but over there, you can assist me. Don't tell me, as the head of the Oblivion Path, you can't do this little thing."

"As long as you get it done, I can give you benefits. But if you can't, or you try to play dirty, don't blame me for dealing with you. Right now, in my eyes, you're nothing! If I wanted you dead, it'd be effortless."

With that, to prove his strength, Li Huowang opened his mouth, tossed the dice in, and bit down.

With a grimace, his teeth applied slight force, causing the dice in his mouth to deform slightly, as if it would crack with a bit more force.

Li Huowang spit it out, continuing to glare at the saliva-covered, tooth-marked dice in his hand, and threatened, "Do you understand?!"

At that moment, a uniformed stewardess walked down the aisle, and Li Huowang quickly closed his hand, smiling and nodding at her.

Once the stewardess passed, Li Huowang quickly opened his hand again, continuing to talk to the dice, "I don't expect you to do anything hard; just take care of the people I care about over there for me."

He paused briefly before continuing, "And Li Sui, don't play dumb with me, you know what I care about."

Just then, Li Huowang suddenly felt someone watching him and quickly turned his head, seeing Zhao Lei.

He stared at Li Huowang, mouth slightly open, holding his phone in a daze.

"I know you've offended a lot of people, and neither side likes you. So let's settle it like this: if you succeed, I'll cover you, and from now on you'll be my Heart Pan." Finishing, Li Huowang pocketed the dice and glared at Zhao Lei, "What are you looking at!"

Zhao Lei's lips trembled a bit before he finally said nothing, turned his head away, and continued to scroll on his phone.

Li Huowang saw the scenery outside gradually lowering; he knew the destination was approaching.

"Alright, that's all for now. Once we land, you take this plane back to our own world. This mess isn't something of your level to handle." With that, Li Huowang tossed the dice with gum marks under the front seat.

After getting off the plane, Li Huowang didn't know the place, unable to read the surrounding text. What he could discern was it's very hot, seemingly tropical.

Zhao Shuangdian, already in short sleeves, led in front. He quickly dialed a number on his phone, seemingly contacting someone.

Taking this opportunity, Qing Wanglai approached Li Huowang again, "Actually, we had another helper before, but regrettably, she couldn't come. If she could, our winning rate would be higher."

"Who? Why not let her come?"

"You didn't let her come because you sent her back to her hometown to be watched over by her parents, not letting her out."

"Yang Na?!" Hearing this, Li Huowang's expression changed instantly, poking his finger into his chest, "I'm telling you!! Don't let her get involved here!! If you dare to let her get involved at all, I'll damn well kill you!"

"Li Huowang, honestly, you're being unreasonable. Why do you always like to make decisions for others? What if she wants to join of her own accord?"

Li Huowang's teeth clenched again, and his expression turned ferocious. "She's sick! Her current thoughts aren't even her real thoughts! I'll say it again, don't drag her into this!"

"Alright, got it. No need to repeat it. You made it very clear when you took her away before."

Seeing Qing Wanglai's attitude, Li Huowang didn't want to start a conflict with him then, so he reached up and forcefully pulled off the rubber mask on his head, revealing his true face.

"Beep beep" sounded a car horn, as several off-road vehicles appeared ahead, driven by foreigners.

"Let's go," Zhao Shuangdian gestured slightly with his head, stepping towards them.

Once outside the airport, Li Huowang noticed the place was even more barren than he imagined. Logically, an airport should be in a big city, but outside here was just a small town, visible end to end.

A few minutes later, the off-road vehicles left the town, driving on an empty desert.

Seeing the driver turn the wheel, steering the car off the asphalt road and into the desert, Li Huowang reached behind him, gripping his familiar knife handle.

"Will they be here? This doesn't seem like a place for people to live." Li Huowang asked Zhao Shuangdian in the passenger seat.

"How do you know they're definitely human?" Zhao Shuangdian, arms crossed, opened a hidden compartment above the car, and took out dark red sunglasses, putting them on his face.

With time passing by and the sky darkening, when the off-road vehicle turned on its low beams and came to a depression in the desert, it gradually stopped.

"Get out, grab your gear." Everyone immediately got off, opening the car's trunk.

Having been on the road all day, none of them rested much, but everyone was very serious and focused.

Upon seeing Zhao Shuangdian assembling a black sniper rifle, Li Huowang, with his brows furrowed, drew his two knives, "No way, you get that and all I get is this?"

"Shall we trade? Can you use it?" Watching Zhao Shuangdian offer the firearm, Li Huowang ultimately didn't take it.

Having never used it, an unfamiliar weapon was indeed less effective for him.

"Li Huowang, over here." Hearing the call, Li Huowang turned to see the Five Realms and Chen Hongyu bringing out a heavy outfit and a helmet from their trunk.

Li Huowang remembered this—it was his old bulletproof vest.
