The Radiant Light - [English Version]

Chapter 6: One of us must die

From the sky, a beam of light shone down to the ground, where a vast green meadow stretched to the horizon. The two of them had arrived at LieuHanh. As soon as they arrived, Chi Phối sensed the differences in this place compared to the previous planets she had visited. He was certainly here, and even closer than before; he... had once passed through here.

Control: Idalia, do you feel anything? (she asked Idalia)

Idalia: I feel a bit... familiar. It's as if I have rested on this meadow before.

Control: Is that so? Let's get moving!

Idalia: Where are we going, Mom?

Control: We need to prepare for the upcoming battle.

Idalia: A battle? Who are we fighting?

Control: Let's hit the road first. I'll slowly tell you about my mission along the way.

This time, they didn't need to visit four locations anymore because Chi Phối would directly seek him out. In all the places she had been before, she had left behind an egg containing a part of her power. On this trip, there was no Radiant ship and no one else accompanying her, just her and Idalia. As they traveled, she told Idalia stories related to Nghịch Mệnh, weaving them to ensure Idalia's view of him was negative, portraying him as a being who wanted to massacre and destroy everything. Having experienced happiness among everyone on the Radiant ship, hearing their stories and witnessing their deeds, she cherished humanity deeply and never wanted anything that could disrupt it to occur. Gradually, as she absorbed her mother's words, a sense of animosity began to form in the depths of her mind towards the being called Nghịch Mệnh.

They traveled for a long time. While conversing, Idalia was very curious about her mother's actions, so one day she asked her.

Idalia: Mom! Why don't you create a new Radiant ship like the last one?

Control: It's too large and easily detectable. He can sense us if I use too much power.

Idalia: If he just dies, will everything be resolved? Can we live together peacefully like before? And I can see Lin on the previous planet.

Control: Be good, my dear. You will meet everyone again. We will gather together, share stories, and enjoy our time on that ship once more. (She smiled as she made this promise)

Idalia: You said it, Mom. Then we will be together again. (She hugged her mother and acted sweetly)

They followed his trail for many years, passing places with residual energy, battlefields, and surprisingly peaceful locations. Finally, they found it. A powerful energy emanated from an island in the middle of the ocean.

Control: He is definitely there, Nghịch Mệnh. After all these years, I have finally found you.

Idalia: I feel so dizzy! I'm in so much pain!

Control: It's okay, my dear. Stay here and wait for me. Once this is over, the pain will quickly fade away. (She instructed her)

Idalia: I want to go too!

Control: No! You must stay here!

As Idalia struggled to endure the pain tearing through her body, Chi Phối turned and flew at full speed towards the island. On the island, three figures were conversing next to a portal.

Nghịch Mệnh: Everything is ready; I will step into Renacer. The rest depends on you two, Zebraem and Diego.

The two nodded in response. Suddenly, an aura swept over, and all three could sense it—it was Chi Phối.

Nghịch Mệnh: She has come! Right at this moment? You two step back; you cannot stop her.

Zebraem and Diego retreated far back. Even though they didn't want to, staying would only hinder them; the power levels were too disparate. Nghịch Mệnh, at this moment, looked very human, not too different from before. He reached out to grasp the space beside him, and a sword gradually materialized from it, Trụ Khí. The sword was nearly two meters long, longer than his own height, with a strange shape. He swung it towards the oncoming figure; as the sword sliced through the air, the sky was torn apart, the force sending air flying away like a tempest. Chi Phối dodged the attack and charged forward at incredible speed, a sonic boom following her. She swung her arm, and a slash, resembling a vast wave, headed straight for Nghịch Mệnh. The ground exploded in a straight line where the thread passed through, extending towards him. He turned and dodged to the side, but the portal behind him didn't escape unscathed, yet it bore not a single scratch. Chi Phối's attack was abruptly halted at that portal. Dodging, Nghịch Mệnh soared into the sky. The two original entities in the universe, now faced off once more in the air, reenacting the scene from that time.

Nghịch Mệnh: You really are persistent; after all these years, I thought you would have given up.

Control: I will give up, but only when your will merges with the universe at this moment, Nghịch Mệnh!!!!

Chi Phối sprouted four more arms, making six swirling around her. Two of those arms stretched out to the sides, palms facing outward, while the other two came together from both sides. Nghịch Mệnh was surrounded by two giant hands that appeared from thin air, enclosing him within a space of about two meters, where he was enveloped by lightning arcs connecting from one palm to the other, and he screamed in pain. He curled up, clutching his chest before bursting out; the hands surrounding him were completely shattered, sending a wave of energy outward, injuring both of them.

Nghịch Mệnh: During this time, you must have, like me, wandered throughout this solar system. Observing the ups and downs of the lives of the creatures here. Don't you feel anything has changed in your mind?

Control: All I see... is the scene of you vanishing into nothingness!

In the distance, Zebraem and Diego were watching the battle. Zebraem clenched his fists tightly.

Diego: Zeb, don't act recklessly; any mistake made in this moment will affect the entire plan we've set, all that we have done, all of his efforts will be in vain! Do you hear me? ZEBRAEMMM!

Zebraem: I know, Die; I know what I need to do and what not to do, but... BUT (he gritted his teeth, struggling to express something)

Diego: Then hold back! The time will come when you can achieve what you desire.

Zebraem turned away, not wanting to witness this battle any longer, while Diego kept his gaze fixed, unwilling to miss a single moment.

On the cliff where Idalia was, she was also witnessing this battle. Her pain was growing more intense, but her eyes remained wide open, fixed on the fight. She silently wished for her mother to win so they could live happily together again.

Idalia: "Mom, don't lose. Don't lose. We will go home together." (Her thoughts)
