Race: Beast

Species: Dragon Beast

Description:

The Dragon Beast is a creature with a strength ten times more robust than that of ordinary beasts. It takes the form of a dragon-shaped monster that evolves from ordinary beasts, and it possesses control over all beast races. This unique creature gained notoriety as the first being in history to cause concern among the three dominant races.

It is often referred to as the "King of Beasts" and "Age Destroyer."

Desmond pondered over the information about the Dragon Beast that he had read before. He couldn't shake off the feeling of familiarity that washed over him. It was as if he had encountered this creature or read about it in a different context. He strained his memory, and suddenly, a vivid scene materialized in his mind—the ambush that had befallen their carriage just outside the city of Helmfirth.

His thoughts raced as he connected the dots. "Those assassins were in league with that evil organization, which ultimately led to the appearance of the Shapeshifter," Desmond mused. The memories unfolded like a river flowing into a lake, and at long last, he found what he had been searching for.

"The Dragon Beast, the creature Vesta killed," Desmond murmured to himself. "Even though it was weakened, it effortlessly toyed with a second-class swordsman."

Desmond turned his gaze towards Felix and the rest of his subordinates, who were huddled on the ground. "Are you certain about this?" he asked, his eyes locking onto Felix's, freezing him in place.

Felix, in turn, witnessed an unbelievable sight. As his young master's piercing stare bore into him, he sensed the presence of a shadowy black dragon looming behind Desmond, its slitted eyes fixated on him. A shiver coursed through Felix's body, rendering him speechless. Only when his young master flicked his forehead did he snap back to reality.

"Y-yes, young master," Felix stammered, his voice barely audible. "Though the creature has become a legend, if anyone were to inquire about its appearance, most could easily distinguish between a dragon and a wyvern. Wyverns have smaller heads and smaller horns, you see."

Desmond fell silent, his gaze sweeping over his subordinates. None of them seemed injured, which left him bewildered. "Then, how did all of you manage to survive?" he questioned, the memories of the formidable Dragon Beast still fresh in his mind. It seemed inconceivable that his subordinates could have survived an encounter with such a fearsome creature.

"Oh, right, please continue your story," Desmond interrupted himself, realizing it was impolite to cut off Felix's explanation. He understood the importance of hearing a complete account from someone, a lesson he had learned in his past life.

Felix, caught off guard, found himself opening and closing his mouth repeatedly. It was only when his young master urged him to continue that he swallowed hard and gathered his thoughts.

Felix proceeded to recount the rest of the story, starting from the point when the enigmatic beast attempted to communicate with him and concluded with its departure alongside the horde of beasts, heading in the direction of Helmfirth city.

Meanwhile, Desmond couldn't help but sense a sense of déjà vu in this unfolding development. It felt as if he had witnessed a similar sequence of events elsewhere, with another creature taking on the role of a protagonist, like Clark—a beast horde controlled by someone, heralding the downfall of humanity and the sudden emergence of a hero.

The pieces of the puzzle were gradually falling into place, deepening the mystery surrounding the Dragon Beast.

Desmond's intuition told him that the scenarios he often encountered in the novels he had read were repeating themselves. If his hunch was correct, the Dragon Beast must be the descendant or heir of the strongest beast in the beast race. Considering Clark's current abilities, Desmond believed he could even engage in a head-to-head battle with that formidable creature.

However, a pressing question nagged at his mind. What about himself? Could his bloodline be a counterfeit? No, it couldn't be. The system had assured him of its 99% purity. Yet doubts still crept into his thoughts, clouding his mind with uncertainty.

While Desmond wrestled with his inner turmoil, his companions observed him with concern and worry. They feared that learning about his old home or someone he knew being affected by the beast horde would plunge their young master into despair.

Suddenly, Desmond rose from his chair, his gaze fixed on the awe-inspiring natural wonder he had created. He knew that it only lacked one final touch to be complete. With narrowed eyes, he made up his mind.

"Now, it's time for the finishing touch," Desmond thought, his attention drawn to the vast sky above his man-made marvel.

Control Element: The Hidden Land!

Stretching his arms wide, Desmond became enveloped in the gathering natural energy, causing a sudden emergence above the grand canyon. Simultaneously, the hovering ground beneath their feet slowly descended towards the natural wonder, eventually landing in the middle of a serene lake.

*Rumble* *Rumble*

The expansive blue sky gradually became concealed by the descending ground, revealing a metallic structure taking shape beneath it. The entire grand canyon was now hidden beneath this barren land.

As the thick silver metal formed the ceiling, not a single soul would suspect the existence of this land, even if the ground above them were to crumble away.

"This will be our temporary dwelling. Though it may not be the most suitable place for humans," Desmond declared, his words accompanied by the sudden emergence of a massive magic crystal from the lake.

This enormous crystal was of such size that it could sustain the structure of the academy for a full five years. While everyone in his group possessed a basic understanding of magic crystals, they remained perplexed as to its current purpose and use.

Noticing their puzzled expressions, Desmond flicked his hand, causing the colossal magic crystal to absorb the surrounding natural energy. As it absorbed the energy, the crystal emitted a brilliant white light, illuminating the hidden land and restoring its captivating scenery.

"This crystal shall serve as our source of vision for this land," Desmond explained, and at his command, the lake beneath them began to move as if possessed. It lifted the massive magic crystal until it was embedded at the top, resembling a sentry tower that provided both observation and a panoramic view of the surroundings.
