The last Asura Sovereign

Chapter 125: Sudden Changes III

‘Such a young person with so much power would be a dangerous enemy if left alive. It’s good that he is on his last legs.’ the new cultivator thought. It was a pity he didn’t know Amrit was fifteen years old reaching sixteen in a month otherwise he would have attacked straightaway.

Although he didn’t know how old Amrit was he looked at him and said “Young man are you really from the Rijal clan? For a clan to produce such a young genius and an unknown at that makes one really curious about the Rijal clan. With your prowess, your name should have reached second-tier cities or even the sects.”

Even though the old man knew he would have to kill Amrit today, this didn’t mean he couldn’t show appreciation for a young genius. This was a genius from third tier city and from the foundation building realm clan at that. The resource was limited here and so was their inheritance. If he were in the second-tier city, he would have a good chance of reaching the Golden Core Formation realm.

The cultivator was already old now, if it were in his heyday, he would have straight up rushed for battle and would bask in the glory of killing a genius. But now he just felt pity for having to kill a future golden core formation realm cultivator. But it was a must for the sake of his clan otherwise if he let Amrit escape today he was sure their clan could only survive for a decade or two. Amrit looked at the old man without speaking.

He knew nothing he said would make any difference. From the look on the face of an old cultivator, Amrit knew he bothered to talk with Amrit out of pity, and looking at his condition he was in no shape to attack further. The cultivator was probably stalling time for the one behind him to recover from a daze and construct his heart and Amrit too was waiting. Seeing that Amrit didn’t even bother to talk, the old man just looked at him without saying anything. There was a grunt coming from the Thapa clan cultivator behind the old man.

He had recovered from a daze. The Thapa clan cultivator looked ahead and saw an old man standing before him. Further ahead Amrit was still in the same condition barely standing with that maniac smile and crimson eyes. After his soul was attacked he felt like he had spent hours defending, his soul power was exhausted and it seemed like this would be his last fight for today. He would have to spend at least a month to recover his soul power.

It was good that Amrit was too exhausted to even move but the youth before him had even cultivated a soul path, he was truly a monster. Even if he had to offend the powerhouse behind Amrit, Amrit had to be killed today or the clan would face destruction in the near future. He recognized the elder before him and wanted to request him to kill Amrit when a sharp pain radiated from his heart. Due to the joy of surviving, the Thapa clan cultivator had even forgotten to check on his body. Only the sharp pain reminded him there was something amiss.

He looked below and saw a hole in his chest. There was a little bit of blood dripping from his chest and his heart seemed to be missing. He panicked for a moment but he suddenly gained a bit of clarity that he would survive today. The elder before him was one of the strongest cultivators in the foundation building realm. There was no way Amrit could survive.

As for the heart, he could construct one with spiritual energy and when he returned to the clan, he would get medicine to reconstruct it. The old man looked behind and their eyes met. He smiled sincerely and said “Young master it seemed I was not late. Few pills and you will be back to peak in no time.”

Amrit, hearing the conversation was surprised. He had guessed that the Thapa clan cultivator was someone with extraordinary identity but he didn’t think that the cultivator would be the young master of the Thapa clan. Unlike him, the identity of the Thapa clan’s young master was respected everywhere. Even if the Thapa clan of the Helas city was just a branch family, they had a golden core formation realm cultivator and two at that.

So being a young master of the Golden Core family brought respect even in the capital of the Emerald kingdom. It was no wonder he was young and so strong. And he even had a lifesaving amulet and two talismans. And there was even an elder at the peak of the foundation building realm who protected him at this crucial moment. Amrit had guessed he was a grandson of the golden core formation realm cultivator or someone favored by them but he hadn’t guessed he was the young master of the Thapa clan.

Who in the right mind would send the young master and clan leader both to the battlefield? If the enemy clan found out about this, then they would stop at nothing to assassinate them. Well, Amrit was also a young master of the clan but he was stubborn and the situation he was facing was different from the Thapa clan. He had no choice, he was fighting for his life whereas the young master of the Thapa clan was fighting for glory and merits to secure his future position. The young master of the Thapa clan had calmed down and had used nearby spiritual energy to construct a transparent heart.

Amrit had already spread the puddle of blood in the young master’s body and had only left a little bit of aura near the heart. The young master of the Thapa clan easily dissipated the aura and began constructing a new heart from spiritual energy. Amrit looked at the young master of the Thapa clan but he was in no position to interfere.

It was very important that there was no interference while constructing the temporary heart because a slight disturbance could make the surrounding spiritual energy unstable. It was only by taming the surrounding spiritual energy and encasing it with the qi from their body can they formed a temporary stable heart. It only took about a minute for the temporary heart to be completely stable and blood could be seen pumping through the transparent heart.

After the blood began pumping through his heart, color regained in his face and he no longer looked sickly pale. After feeling the blood running through his body, the young master of the Thapa clan looked at the elder in front of him and said “Elder you should kill that cultivator as soon as possible. We don’t know what trump cards he has left. The more we delay, the more obstacles may arise.”
