The good girl

Chapter 15: I hate to lie to him

He didn't turn towards me as he continued pouring two glasses of wine. I just stared at him blankly, waiting for him to say something. He took both glasses and turned to me, giving me one of them. I reluctantly took it from him, not feeling any of it.

He seemed to notice my sluggishness as he said, "You don't look too good, Alicia." Was he trying to mock me or something? I didn't respond to him, just took a sip of my wine. I looked around for a chair and saw two. I sat on one and said, "Oh, I look good, Lyon. I was having a great time." I took another sip of wine without making eye contact.

He sat on the other chair next to me and asked, "Are you upset?" I hated him. I dropped my glass on the table and stood up to leave, but he grabbed my hand roughly. I looked at him, making sure he could see how angry I was. Did he take me for a fool?

"Let go of my hand," I say. Surprisingly, he did. I started to walk out of the room, opened the door, and just as I was about to leave, I didn't even notice his steps because he was right behind me and slammed the door shut. I gasped, feeling his breath on my neck as he bent down to kiss me. "You don't know how beautiful you are when you are jealous," he said. Seriously, I wish I could smack him.

So that was what he was aiming for, to see me jealous. Of that, he succeeded. I was not going to stand around while he made a mockery of me, so I resorted to what I knew would work. "Adrian wants me with him, I have exceeded the time," I said calmly. He stopped kissing me at once. I knew it would work. "Jack will take you back," he said. "Good," I said, but he continued. "Since you've already exceeded the time, it wouldn't make a difference if you added 20 more minutes." What the heck was he saying?

I felt him remove my hair and tuck it behind my ear. "Stop it, I am not in the mood," I really am not. "Hm, you will be," his mouth found my ear as he nibbled on it and said, "Were you trying to provoke me with the little stunt you pulled?" If he is talking about a little stunt, did he mean? oh, "It worked, you see," his hand in my hair as he tugged on it, taking my head back. "You look more beautiful today, Alicia." I swear I'll do him back. As I turned around and stretched my hands up and pulled at his hair, he screamed "Ah" and laughed as he released his hold on my hair. "Now you know how that feels." I left his hair, with some strands in my hands.

He arranged his hair. "You are one violent woman." I didn't really do it for him to smile, but he seems to find it amusing. "Well, Miss White, you are the first person to ever do that to me," he says. "It shows how sheltered you are," I spat back. He still has that silly smile on his face. "I can explain, okay? Just listen. It would be surprising if I didn't come with any lady, and your father seems to know about the rumors between you and me circulating. In order not to make him suspicious, I had to come with another woman. I didn't tell you, but he called me to ask about the rumors. I swear, she is a paid street actress." Adrian called him about us dating? Now I am scared for real.

But the problem was, "Why didn't you tell me about it? Were you planning on making a mockery of me?" He didn't respond, this guy. I hissed, "Well, you played the same game when you were all lovey-dovey with that guy." I don't think I was lovey-dovey with Toby when all I could think of was Lyon. "So? I really need to go now. I have wasted a lot of time." I wouldn't want Adrian to suspect anything. Both Lyon and I are not at the party currently, and it looks suspicious. "Okay, I'll send Jack to pick you up. Don't put up a fight." I frowned. What does he mean by that? He kissed me, a kiss that only lasted a second, but I needed more as my body craved him. But now is not the time. He opened the door for me, and Jack was waiting outside. "Take her back to the party, Jack, and don't let her father see you escorting her." This man, he is just as cunning as a snake.

Jack escorted me just to the door leading to the party. I thanked him and headed to where Adrian and Margaret are. On seeing me, Margaret took a breath, which made Adrian look at me. "Where were you?" he asks. "Ah, I went outside for some fresh air. The drink I had with Toby and the others made me a little dizzy." Now I am lying to him. It seems he had been looking for me. He breathed a sigh of relief. "Good, I thought." Then he trailed off. I knew immediately what he was so afraid of, and I felt guilty somehow.

The evening continued with Lyon coming out after fifteen minutes. By the time I came out, that would have been enough time for Adrian not to suspect anything. The street actress was still by his side. At least now I know that he isn't involved with her, she is just for the show. Something inside me wants to be in her position. I don't want to pretend to date him, I want to openly date him without lying to anyone. I want something serious, not just pleasure. But who was I kidding, no one but myself. The party ended with everyone going to their respective homes. "Alicia, are you sure you don't want me to drop you off?" I smiled at Adrian and hugged him. I really like how he is concerned about me. "To tell you the truth, Mr. Bernard hired a ride for me, saying it's because he is my father's friend." I hoped I sounded convincing. Adrian laughed, "You seem to know him well, no wonder that rumor started." I smiled back, "My colleagues were surprised how I got the job, that's why they started the rumors. It was when I complained about it that he made it clear that I am the daughter of his close friend." Not everything I told him was a lie. "I really did tell him to look after you." "Oh, you did", He is doing more than that though. I smiled. "You don't have to worry, dad. I'll send a letter to the head and complain about that guy you saw earlier, that's the protocol to take." He bought into it and nodded with a smile, "I know, I just don't like people calling my beautiful girl names." It almost brought tears to my eyes as I smiled, "I love you Adrian," he smiled too, "I love you too Alicia." We were in the moment when Margaret said, "Hello, I am right here," and we all laughed together.

They left and the limo that picked me up earlier pulled up beside me. The door was opened by Jack and I got in. To my surprise, Lyon was there. "What, you don't want me to be here?" He joked. I relaxed in the seat and exhaled, "I hate lying to him," I said, pointing a finger at Lyon. He held my hand and drew me close, taking in my scent. "You smell so good," he said, trailing kisses along the side of my face. "That is just the horny you talking," he laughed. "You have such a sharp tongue," I laughed too, "that's because you bring out the worst in me."

He kissed me and I kissed him back, tasting the alcohol on his breath. He tasted like wine. I sat on his thigh as we continued to kiss. He raised my gown up and ran his fingers across my thigh. "This is not the place," I said. He smiled, "Then where is? He wouldn't dare look, but you just don't have to make a noise," he said as he snuck his hand into my middle, feeling the wetness from my panties. "You're so wet for me," he said, rubbing me. I moaned softly, "Oh god," he continued rubbing, his eyes never leaving mine. He slipped his fingers into my panties, touched my bud, and I jerked. His face was masked with emotions, and I liked that it was for me.

He keeps rubbing my clit as I moan softly, then he kissed me and his touch became more intense. I screamed into his mouth as I reached orgasm, he released my clit and lips and licked my juices off his fingers. I can't wait to get to his penthouse, I'm going to make him scream my name.
