THE GHOST ASSASSIN ☠️

Chapter 11: Chapter 11: The Last Target

Kael walked into the safehouse, a grin spreading across his face as he was met with cheers and congratulations from the team.

Ryker and Jax high-fived him, their faces split with wide smiles.

"Yes! One more to go!" Ryker exclaimed.

Lena pumped her fist in the air, a whoop of excitement escaping her lips.

Ava smiled, a rare sight, as she nodded in approval. "Well done, Kael.

Jax clapped Kael on the back, his eyes shining with excitement. "We're almost there, guys. One more target and we're done."

The team cheered again, their spirits high as they celebrated their latest victory.

Kael laughed, feeling a sense of pride and accomplishment. They had come so far, and now the end was in sight.

"Let's finish this," he said, his voice filled with determination.

The team cheered once more, their voices echoing through the safehouse as they celebrated their victory.

The following morning In the division, Director Arlo sat behind his desk, his eyes fixed on the wall as he stared blankly into space. His mind was racing, his thoughts consumed by the events of the previous night.

Lieutenant Krieg, one of his most trusted agents, was dead. Killed by the ghost assassin, right under their noses.

He clenched his fists, his anger and frustration boiling over. How could they have let this happen? How could they have failed so miserably?

He thought back to his conversation with Baron, the way he had assured him that everything was under control. But it wasn't. Nothing was under control.

The ghost assassin was still out there, still killing, still haunting them. And Arlo had no idea how to stop him.

He slumped back in his chair, his eyes dropping to the floor. He felt defeated, helpless.

But then, a spark of determination ignited within him. He would not be defeated. He would not be helpless.

He would find the ghost assassin, and he would make him pay.

Arlo's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched in resolve. He would do whatever it took to bring him down.

The division would not be intimidated. The division would not be defeated.

He picked up the phone, his fingers dialing a number with a fierce determination.

"It's time to take the gloves off," he growled into the receiver. "I want every available agent on this case. I want the ghost assassin found and brought to me, alive."

The person on the other end of the line nodded, their voice firm with agreement.

Arlo slammed down the phone, his eyes blazing with determination.

Arlo's eyes scanned the room, his mind racing with strategies and plans. He would leave no stone unturned, no lead unexplored. He would find the ghost assassin, no matter what it took.

He stood up, his movements swift and decisive. He walked over to the large screen on the wall, where the faces of the ghost assassin's victims were displayed.

He gazed at the faces, his eyes burning with anger and determination. He would make sure that the ghost assassin paid for what he had done.

"Rachel, Amari," he called out, his voice firm.

The two agents appeared in the doorway, their faces alert and ready.

"I want you to go through every shred of evidence we have," Arlo said, his eyes locked on theirs. "I want you to find anything that might lead us to the ghost assassin."

Rachel and Amari nodded, their faces set with determination.

"And I want you to do it now," Arlo added, his voice firm.

The two agents turned and disappeared, leaving Arlo alone in his office once again.

He walked back to his desk, his eyes fixed on the wall as he thought through his next move.

He would find the ghost assassin. He would make him pay.

The division would not be defeated.

In the santuary's safehouse, kael and his teammates were having fun while Ana was with Dr elara.

"I'm so sneaky, I can sneak into the division's headquarters and steal their donuts and they' will never even know I was there." Kael started

Ryker replied. "Oh yeah? Well, I'm so sneaky, I could steal the donuts and eat them all while I'm still in the division's building."

Lena said laughing."You guys are ridiculous."

Jax jokingly said while shaking his head. "Two kids competing in a silly contest."

Kael replied. "Hey, someone's got to keep things entertaining around here."

Ryker also replied. "Yeah, and someone's got to keep Kael from getting too full of himself."

---

Meanwhile, in the other room:

"Dr. Elara, I have some news. Lieutenant Krieg is down." Ana said gazing at Dr elara

Dr. Elara asked surprisingly. "What? How did that happen?"

Ana answered. "The ghost assassin got to him. Director Arlo is furious."

Dr. Elara looked concerned. "This is not good. You need to be careful."

Ana chuckled. "I know. I'll make sure to keep you updated."

Dr. Elara said nodding her head."Thank you, Ana. I appreciate it."

Ana walked out of the room, her expression serious. "Alright, team. It's time to finish this."

Kael, Ryker, Lena, and Jax looked up at her, their faces still etched with amusement from their previous jokes.

"Time to take down Director Arlo," Ana continued, her voice firm. "We can't afford to wait any longer. He's getting desperate, and we need to finish this before he finds a way to stop us."

The team nodded, their faces turning serious.

"Let's do this," Kael said, standing up.

"Once and for all," Ryker added, cracking his knuckles.

"We've got a plan, let's stick to it," Lena said, checking her gear. "Let's finish this. Together."

The team moved out, their movements swift and purposeful. They knew what they had to do, and they were ready to do it.

Director Arlo sat behind his desk, his eyes fixed on the security feed in front of him. He knew he was the next target, the only one left. The ghost assassin had taken out everyone else, and now it was his turn.

He smiled to himself, a cold, calculating smile. He had anticipated this moment, had prepared for it. He would not go down without a fight.

"Security, increase the guard presence around my office," he barked into the comms device. "I want at least ten men stationed outside my door at all times."

"Yes, sir," the voice on the other end replied.

Arlo leaned back in his chair, his eyes narrowing as he thought. He knew the assassin was good, but he also knew the layout of the building. He could use that to his advantage.

"Set up a trap," he muttered to himself. "Something to take out the assassin once and for all."

He pressed a button on his desk, summoning his top security officer.

"Sir?" the officer asked, entering the room.

"I want you to set up a trap for the assassin," Arlo said, his eyes blazing with determination. "Use everything at your disposal. I want this killer taken out, no matter what it takes."

The officer nodded, a look of understanding on his face. "Yes, sir. We'll get it done."

Arlo smiled again, a fierce smile. He was ready for the assassin. Bring it on, he thought.

Amari and Rachel sat in the dimly lit room, their eyes fixed on the TV screen in front of them. They were watching the surveillance feed of the Division building, their hearts racing with every passing moment.

"Oh my god, what if the assassin comes for us too?" Rachel whispered, her voice trembling.

Amari's eyes widened in fear. "Don't even say that. We're safe here."

But Rachel's words had planted a seed of doubt in Amari's mind. What if the assassin didn't stop at just Arlo? What if they came for everyone who worked at the Division?

The two sat in silence, their eyes fixed on the screen as the minutes ticked by. They knew the assassin was closing in on Arlo, and they couldn't help but wonder if they were next.

"I don't like this," Rachel said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I don't like being trapped in here, waiting for...for whatever is going to happen."

Amari nodded, his own fear starting to get the better of him. "We'll be okay," he said, trying to sound convincing. "We just have to wait it out."

But as they sat there, frozen in fear, they couldn't shake the feeling that they were running out of time.

The sky outside was growing darker, the sun going down the horizon as kael and his team made their final preparations.

Ana stood at the front of the room, a large map of the Division building behind her. "Alright, let's review the plan one last time," she said, her voice clear and . "Kael, you'll take point and lead the team into the building. Ryker, you'll provide overwatch from the rooftop. Jax, you'll be in the car as usual. Lena, you'll hack into the building's mainframe and disable their internal security systems."

The team nodded, their faces set with determination.

Kael stood in front of a mirror, adjusting his black tactical vest. He wore a pair of durable pants and a long-sleeved shirt, both a dark color. His hair was tied back in a ponytail, and his eyes were fixed intently on his reflection.

He strapped on his katana and knives, checking the blades before securing it in place. Next, he attached a small first-aid kit to his belt, followed by a set of lockpicks and a compact flashlight.

Finally, he pulled on a pair of black gloves, flexing his fingers to ensure a snug fit.

Ryker stood in front of a large duffel bag, checking through its contents. He pulled out a sleek black sniper rifle, checking the scope and magazine before slinging it over his shoulder.

Next, he donned a pair of camouflage pants and a matching jacket, both designed to blend in with the rooftop environment. He secured a small pouch of ammunition to his belt, followed by a compact spotting scope.

Finally, he pulled on a pair of gloves and a black balaclava, covering his face and head.

Jax stood in front of a workbench, playing with his car keys. He wore a pair of durable pants and a black tank top, his muscular arms on full display.

Next, he attached a small grappling hook to his belt, followed by a compact multitool.

Finally, he pulled on a pair of gloves and a black beanie, covering his hair and head.

Lena stood in front of the team, a small box in her hand. "Alright, here are your Bluetooth earpieces," she said, distributing them to Kael, Ryker, and Jax. "These will allow us to communicate with each other during the mission. Remember to keep your voices low and clear."

The team nodded, inserting the earpieces into their ears. Lena checked her own earpiece, ensuring it was working properly.

"Let's move out," kael said, his voice firm. "It's time to take down Arlo."

The three men sat in the car, Jax behind the wheel. "Hold on, guys," he said, a mischievous grin spreading across his face.

Before Kael and Ryker could respond, Jax floored it, the car surging forward like a bullet. Kael and Ryker were thrown back into their seats, their stomachs lurching with the sudden acceleration.

"Jax, slow down!" Kael yelled, his eyes fixed on the speedometer. "We're not trying to win a race!"

Ryker chimed in, his voice equally urgent. "Yeah, Jax, ease off the gas! We don't want to draw attention to ourselves!"

But Jax just laughed, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Come on, guys! Live a little! We're on a mission to take down Arlo!"

The car continued to speed through the streets, weaving in and out of traffic. Kael and Ryker held on for dear life, their knuckles white with tension.

"Jax, seriously, slow down!" Kael begged. "We're going to get ourselves killed!"

But Jax just kept pushing the pedal to the floor, the car's engine roaring like a beast. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Jax eased off the gas, the car slowing to a more reasonable speed.

Kael and Ryker let out a sigh of relief, their hearts still racing from the wild ride. "Thanks, Jax," Kael said dryly.

Ryker chuckled, shaking his head. "You're a drunkard, Jax."

Jax just grinned, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Hey, someone's got to keep things interesting around here, now get out"

Jax stopped the car, the were already close to the facility, they splitted as usual. Ryker to the nearby rooftop and kael disappeared into the shadows.

Kael crouched in the shadows, his eyes fixed on the Division building. He took a deep breath, then sprang into action, sprinting towards the entrance.

He slipped inside, finding himself in a dimly lit corridor. He knew the layout of the building, had studied it meticulously. He moved swiftly, his footsteps silent on the polished floor.

As he approached Arlo's office, he saw them. Guards, stationed at regular intervals, their eyes scanning the area.

Kael's voice was barely above a whisper as he spoke into the earpiece. "Lena, I need you to hack the electricity. Now."

There was a pause, then Lena's voice came back. "Done. The power will go out in three...two...one..."

The lights flickered, then died. Kael moved, his training taking over. He took down the guards one by one, his movements swift and deadly.

When the lights flickered back on, the guards lay motionless on the floor. Kael stood among them, his chest heaving with exertion.

"Clear," he whispered into the earpiece.

Lena's voice came back, calm and steady. "Good work, Kael. Ryker, can you see Arlo?"

Ryker's voice came over the earpiece, his tone calm. "Yeah, I've got eyes on him. He's in his office, alone."

Kael's eyes narrowed. "Let's finish this."

Kael crept into the office, his eyes fixed on the figure sitting in Arlo's chair. But as he approached, he realized the person was turned away from him, their back against Kael.

Kael's instincts screamed at him to be cautious, but his training took over. He moved swiftly, his sword flashing in the dim light as he stretched it across the person's neck.

But just as he did, Ana's voice came over the earpiece, urgent. "Kael, leave the room now! It is a camouflage, it is trap! "

Kael hesitated, his eyes fixed on the figure. But then, suddenly, agents poured out of nowhere, surrounding him.

Lena's voice came over the earpiece, panicked. "Kael, I'm trying to hack the electricity, but it's not working!"

Kael knew he had to act fast. He drew his second sword, preparing for battle. The agents closed in, their guns raised.

With a fierce cry, Kael launched himself at them, his swords flashing in the light. He took them down one by one, preventing them from shooting.

Ryker's voice came over the earpiece, calm and steady. "I've got your back, Kael. I'm taking out the ones I can see."

Kael glanced up, seeing Ryker's sniper rifle taking out agents from across the room. Together, they fought off the agents, their movements swift and deadly.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the room was silent. The agents lay motionless on the floor. Kael stood tall, his chest heaving with exertion.

Kael stepped out into the corridor, his swords still clutched in his hands. But before he could take another step, a gun was pressed to his head.

"Surrender, now!" a voice said, cold and detached.

Kael's eyes flicked to the side, seeing Amari's face, his eyes hard and unyielding.

But before he could respond, another voice came from the other end of the corridor. "Yeah, surrender! You're not getting out of here alive!"

Rachel emerged from the shadows, a massive gun cradled in her arms.

Kael slowly raised his hands to the sky and knelt down, his swords clattering to the floor.

Lena's voice came over the earpiece, panicked. "What's going on? Why are you surrendering?"

But Kael didn't respond. Instead, he slowly reached up to his mask, trying to remove it.

Ryker whispered into the earpiece. "Kael, no"

Kael did not respond again. Instead, he slowly removed his mask revealing his face to the world.

The room fell silent. Amari's eyes widened in shock, and Rachel's jaw dropped. "It's...it's Kael!" Amari whispered.

Director Arlo's smile faltered, his eyes narrowing in disbelief. "Impossible," he whispered. "You're supposed to be dead."

Kael's eyes locked onto Arlo, a fierce glint in his eye. "Surprise," he said, his voice low and deadly.
