Chapter 12: Chapter 12: Brutal revenge
Kael looked at Arlo with angry eyes. "Surprise," he said in a low, dangerous voice. This made everyone in the room feel scared.
Arlo's face turned white with shock. "No, it can't be," he whispered, his voice shaking.
Amari's hand holding the gun started to shake. She stared at Kael's face.
Rachel held her gun tightly, her eyes narrowing.
Lena's voice came through the earpiece again, sounding worried. "Kael, what's happening?"
But Kael didn't answer. He is still on his knees and still looking at Arlo.
The room was quiet, except for the sound of the agents breathing heavily.
Arlo's voice was shaking with anger. "How did you escape?" he asked Kael. "You were supposed to be dead!"
Kael just smiled. "You'll never know," he said.
Arlo's face turned red with rage. "You've killed many of our commanders," he said. "You'll pay for that. I'll enjoy watching you die the second time."
Kael just looked at him, not afraid.
Arlo and Kael stared at each other for a moment, saying nothing.
Then Arlo turned to Amari. "Finish him," he ordered. "Kill him now."
Amari raised his gun, pointing it at Kael.
But Kael didn't move. He just stood up, his eyes fixed on Amari.
And then, in a flash, he moved. He kicked the gun out of Amari's hand and jumped at him.
Amari, a strong and skilled shooter,, was caught off guard by Kael's quick move. Kael kicked the gun out of Amari's hand and grabbed his wrist, twisting it hard.
Amari grunted in pain and tried to punch Kael with his free hand. But Kael was too fast. He blocked the punch and hit Amari in the stomach.
Amari doubled over, gasping for breath. But he didn't give up. He swung his leg at Kael, trying to kick him.
Kael jumped out of the way just in time. He countered with a kick of his own, hitting Amari in the chest.
Amari stumbled back, but he kept fighting. He pulled out a small knife and lunged at Kael.
Kael dodged the knife and grabbed Amari's arm, twisting it hard. Amari cried out in pain and dropped the knife.
Kael then punched Amari in the face, knocking him to the ground.
Amari struggled to get up, but Kael was too strong. He kicked Amari in the ribs, making him curl up in pain.
Just as Kael was about to deliver the final blow, Rachel intervened. "Stop, Kael!" she shouted. "Don't kill him!"
Kael hesitated, then stepped back. Amari lay on the ground, groaning in pain.
Kael turned to face Rachel, who was pointing her gun at him. "You're next," she said.
Kael smiled. "I don't think so," he said, and charged at her.
Rachel fired her gun, but Kael dodged the bullet. He grabbed her wrist and twisted it, making her drop the gun.
Rachel tried to punch him, but Kael blocked her blows. He countered with a series of swift kicks and punches, sending Rachel crashing to the ground.
As Kael fought Rachel, Arlo saw his chance to escape. He quietly ran down the corridor, trying not to be seen.
Kael, however, noticed him. "No, you don't!" he shouted, and ran after Arlo.
"Lena, where is he?" Kael asked into his earpiece.
"He's heading for the rooftop, Kael!" Lena replied following Arlo with her computer.
Kael followed Arlo to the rooftop, his heart pounding in his chest. As he reached the top, he saw Arlo holding a gun, pointing it at him.
"Ah-ah, Kael," Arlo said, smiling. "I've been waiting for you."
Kael didn't hesitate. He charged at Arlo, ready to take him down once and for all.
But Arlo was ready for him. "You're not taking me alive, Kael," he said, his finger on the trigger.
Kael charged towards Arlo, his face twisted in anger. Arlo smiled and pulled the trigger.
But Kael was too fast. He raised his sword and blocked the bullet, the sound of metal on metal ringing out.
Kael then performed a series of swift and deadly stunts, dodging Arlo's wild shots and closing in on him.
With a final, swift strike, Kael cut off Arlo's hand, the one holding the gun. Arlo screamed in agony as his hand fell to the ground, blood dripping from the stump.
"That's for Marcus," Kael said, his chest heaving with rage.
Arlo fell to his knees, clutching his wounded arm. "No, no, no!" he shouted, blood dripping from his mouth. "I didn't kill Marcus! His own stupidity killed him!"
Kael stood over him, his sword still trembling with rage. "You're a liar," he spat. "And now, you'll pay for what you've done."
Arlo looked up at Kael, his eyes filled with fear and pain. "Please," he begged. "Don't kill me."
Kael stood over Arlo, his sword still trembling with rage. "You're not dying too soon," he said, his voice cold and deadly.
With a swift strike, Kael cut off Arlo's second hand. Arlo screamed in agony.
"This is for Lena," Kael said, his eyes blazing with fury.
Arlo's eyes widened in surprise. "I didn't kill her! She escaped!"
Kael smiled grimly. "She escaped because of what you did to her."
Kael then shook a knife into Arlo's leg. "This is for Jax, the one you tried to use as an experiment but escaped."
Arlo shouted in agony, his body trembling with pain.
Kael removed the knife and shook the second leg. "This is for Ryker, the sniper guy whom you set another sniper shooter to kill but luckily the one you sent was not good enough."
Arlo screamed again, his voice hoarse from pain.
"I am innocent!" he shouted.
But Kael just smiled. "You're far from innocent," he said.
Ryker's voice came over the earpiece, hailing Kael with joy. "Yeah, that's my boy!"
Kael gave Arlo a deep cut in the face. "This is for Ava, whom you sent Elara to kill."
Arlo shouted, his eyes wide with shock. "How is she alive?"
Kael smiled again. "If you care to know, Elara is safe with us."
Arlo's eyes widened in surprise, and Kael said, "You die now."
Kael's eyes blazed with fury as he gazed at Arlo, his sword still trembling with rage. He wanted to make Arlo suffer, to feel every moment of pain.
With a slow and deliberate motion, Kael began to cut Arlo's chest, making shallow incisions that barely pierced the skin. Arlo winced in pain, his eyes watering.
Kael then pressed the sword deeper, making the incisions deeper and more painful. Arlo's wincing turned to screaming, his body trembling with agony.
Next, Kael targeted Arlo's abdomen, making precise cuts that damaged his internal organs. Arlo's screams grew louder, his body convulsing in pain.
Kael continued to torture Arlo, cutting into his arms and legs, making him feel every moment of pain. Arlo's screams grew hoarse, his body weakening.
Finally, Kael ended Arlo's life with a deep cut to the throat, making him choke on his own blood. Arlo's eyes widened in shock, his body going limp.
Kael stood over him, his chest heaving with exhaustion, his eyes still blazing with fury. He had made Arlo suffer, and now it was over.
Amari on the other hand, emerged onto the rooftop, gun in hand, his eyes fixed on Kael and his gun pointed at him. But before he could pull the trigger, a fast bullet passed through Amari's head and he dropped dead on the ground. Kael looked back and then he looked at Ryker's direction, he saw Ryker on the rooftop of a nearby building.
"You can't blame me for being a sharp shooter" Ryker said with a little smile on his face.
Kael's gaze lingered on the rooftop, his chest heaving with exertion. He spotted Rachel running, trying to escape, but before she could escape, Jax appeared out of the shadows, he gave Rachel a hard punch. Rachel's eyes rolled back, and she slumped to the ground.
"I think we need to arrest this one, she must pay for her sins." Jax's voice crackled over the earpiece, trying to carry her on his back.
Kael joined his teammates. They made their way to the sanctuary safehouse with a celebratory mood and making fun of director Arlo.
"Hey kael, why did Arlo go to the rooftop?" Ryker asked
"I don't know" kael answered him almost immediately.
"Because he wanted to take his evil plans to new heights" Ryker said laughing.
Jax smiled as he focused on the wheel.
Meanwhile, a dark figure dressed like a ninja watched from the shadows from another rooftop, phone pressed to their ear. "Director Arlo is dead. All of them are dead." The words dripped with malice.
The person on the other end laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "Who is this killer? I want to know him."
The figure's response was laced with an air of mystery. "I'll be with you soon." And with that, the figure vanished into the darkness, leaving behind only the faintest whisper of his presence.
The tension lingering like a challenge, hinting that Kael and his team were far from safe, and that a new, even greater threat was emerging from the shadows.
