Chapter 103 Death

Chains crisscrossed mid-air, loop after loop, encircling Chu Feng.

The very next second, the chains abruptly tightened, as if intending to bind Chu Feng like a rice dumpling.

Facing the incoming chains, Chu Feng raised the long knife in his hand, its blade flickering with specks of cold light.

The moment the chains drew close, he finally chopped down fiercely.

An extreme cold surge burst from the blade, instantly freezing all approaching chains, restoring their original pitch-black color.

Then, the long knife made contact with the chains. CRACK! The frozen chains shattered into countless fragments.

"Damn it!" The Demon in the sky looked at the chains in his hands, now pitch black again. Cursing furiously, he wound the remaining chains around his waist.

"Damn Exorcist! Damn humans!"

The Demon in the sky stared down at Chu Feng, who was eagerly eying him from below. After cursing harshly a few more times, the Demon waved his hand toward the distant man-made lake, its water now replaced by Hell Flame.

As the Demon waved, the bottom of the lake at its center instantly collapsed, forming a gigantic pit.

In the center of this suddenly formed pit lay a giant Bone Sword. It had a skull for a handle and a body of white bone, and it emanated a scorching red light. Endless crimson flames tightly enveloped it. After trembling slightly, it began to rise slowly into the air.

A few seconds later, the giant Bone Sword, now free from the crimson flames in the pit, transformed into a streak of light, racing towards the Demon in the sky.

On the ground, Chu Feng watched the giant Bone Sword appear in the Demon's hands in an instant, his eyes narrowing slightly.

It does look quite similar to the Bone Sword that Demon named Baru from Mar Town was holding!

That Bone Sword I cut in two... Chu Feng glanced down at the long blade of his Demon Hunting Blade. His lips parted slightly, and a faint chuckle escaped. It's just a matter of breaking another one, after all...

But the Demon in the sky merely caressed the scorching body of the White Bone Greatsword. He watched Chu Feng below with icy eyes and harshly spat out, "Die!"

The next second, the Demon's wings trembled slightly. The crimson greatsword in his hands emitted a dazzling red glow, and his tall, burly demonic form vanished from mid-air.

CRACK! A sudden clap of thunder exploded. Raindrops began to fall from the sky, which had, at some unseen point, become densely overcast.

CLANG! Within the sparse curtain of rain, a crimson greatsword, wreathed in misty white vapor, suddenly stopped just above Chu Feng's head.

Countless sparks, sent flying by the fierce collision, were extinguished by the cold rainwater before they could even reach the ground.

Holding his long knife horizontally above his head, Chu Feng firmly blocked the greatsword as the Demon slashed down with all the force of its descent.

"Decent Strength!" Chu Feng looked up at the Demon, who was roughly three meters tall, and forced the words out through clenched teeth.

Then, he bent his legs slightly and forcefully pried the greatsword off his long knife.

Having already locked onto his target, Chu Feng vanished instantly, leaving only a half-meter-deep crater behind.

The Demon, who had retreated twenty meters from the force of Chu Feng's long knife, saw this, and his pupils instantly constricted.

Such incredible speed!

His constricted pupils could hardly keep up with Chu Feng's movements; he could only instinctively swing the greatsword horizontally before him.

The giant Bone Sword met no resistance. The Demon's full-force swing cleaved only empty air.

This is bad!

The moment his greatsword swung empty, the Demon's heart skipped a beat.

But Chu Feng, who had already appeared behind the Demon, didn't hesitate. In the blink of an eye, two chilling flashes of his blade streaked past.

THUD! THUD!

The sounds of two heavy objects hitting the ground followed one after the other.

"Argh! My demonic wings!"

The intense pain from his back almost made the Demon drop the greatsword.

He had never expected this. The Exorcist's first target wasn't his neck or torso—attacks that could end his life. Instead, the Exorcist had chosen to directly chop off the source of his ability to fly.

"Let's see how you flutter in the sky now?" Chu Feng remarked. He had long found the Demon's constantly flapping wings an eyesore. Looking at his handiwork on the ground—the severed wings—he finally nodded in satisfaction.

ROAR!

The Demon, severely wounded, was so enraged that black smoke billowed from his nostrils and mouth, with sparks even flying amidst it.

A bright red line instantly appeared on the inside of his thick, dark-red arm. In mere breaths, it spread down to the White Bone Greatsword in the Demon's hand.

WHOOSH! Flames, thick with the aura of Hell, erupted from the greatsword's blade.

As the Demon turned and swung with all his might, the scorching flames rushed towards Chu Feng in an instant.

Unfazed by the oncoming flames, Chu Feng cleaved diagonally with his long knife, which emanated a biting chill.

Wherever the long knife passed, nearby raindrops instantly froze into countless smooth ice beads.

HISS!

Before the blades themselves could collide, the greatsword's flames and the long knife's frigid aura met first, instantly giving rise to a pervasive white mist.

Immediately after, a loud sound echoed through the mist.

CLANG!

The long knife and the greatsword were once again locked tightly together.

"Die!" The Demon, clenching his teeth, glared at Chu Feng. He tensed all his muscles, employing all his Strength in a vow to kill the damnable Exorcist before him.

His demonic power surged into the massive Bone Sword in his grip like a bursting dam.

BOOM! The flames on the sword, which had been suppressed, suddenly flared violently, gradually drawing closer to Chu Feng's hands gripping the hilt.

"Hm?" Chu Feng's eyebrows furrowed. With a thought, he channeled a torrent of Spiritual Power into his Demon Hunting Blade.

Biting frost spread instantaneously. The flames on the greatsword were suppressed, receding back into its blade.

"How is this possible?"

The Demon, unable to believe the scene before him, desperately drew upon whatever remaining Strength he had, hoping to suppress this extreme cold once more.

Unfortunately, the Demon's efforts were in vain. Within a few breaths, the White Bone Greatsword's surface was completely covered in frost, and even the original crimson glow of the blade had vanished without a trace.

Now! Chu Feng's eyes flashed. With a flick of his long knife, the Demon's claws, already growing stiff, finally lost their grip on the White Bone Greatsword's hilt.

The broad blade of the greatsword was sent flying into the distance.

"No!" The Demon's gaze followed the soaring greatsword as he let out a cry of despair.

A single, cold word left Chu Feng's lips: "Die!"

As it was spoken, a lightning-fast gleam from his blade streaked through the Demon's peripheral vision. Its world plunged into utter darkness.
