The Cursed Extra: Twin Souls Against the World

Chapter 84: Memories 3

Xane stood before the judge, surrounded by hundreds of people staring at him.

Xane just stared at the young judge before his eyes.

Not long after, she slammed her hammer. "Order, order."

This made everyone in the court go silent.

Then, for the first time, Xane heard in horror as an old lawyer announced, "The defendant is accused of the horrendous crime of trying to initiate forceful physical contact with the plaintiff."

Xane just blacked out for a moment. But then it all hit him like a wave.

Unable to control himself, he shouted, "What!"

The policemen beside him pulled him back, but after staying trapped alone in the cell for the past two days, it had really pushed Xane to his limits as he broke down.

Tears started pouring out of his eyes as he screamed. "No, it's false. What are you guys even saying?"

The judge just stared at him and once again slammed the wooden hammer. "Order, order. Defendant Xane, for your benefit, I advise you to maintain the court order."

Xane wanted to shout back at her, to protest against this false accusation, but the cold gazes of the surrounding officers, who were now just a step away from pointing their weapons at him.

This made him stiff.

The judge took it as a sign of cooperation and turned to the old lawyer. "Proceed."

The old lawyer nodded to her and then turned to Xane. "Your Honor, on Monday, the plaintiff was staying late at the school, studying a bit extra for the upcoming exam. A few hours later, Plaintiff finished all her homework, and she moved out of the school. But right there, the defendant rushed to her."

"First, he verbally threatened my client and then forced her to follow him to the side of the school."

Xane clenched his teeth. But the old lawyer, not caring about him, just said, "For confirmation, I would like to call the leading investigating officer."

Xane saw the officer he had hoped in come forward and recounted everything that he had told him.

Even though everything the officer said was the same as what he had told him, the old lawyer twisted the simple facts.

Not only that, the leading officer even requested that further investigation needed to be done to reach any conclusion.

He saw that his family had also hired a lawyer, but for some reason, this lawyer had never even come to meet him in the cell.

So the guy did not even protest much and let things proceed.

The shock of the accusation had already made him blurry, but the subsequent developments after that drained everything out of Xane as he just blanked out.

The last thing he remembered was the sound of the judge's hammer slamming down when she ordered one week of extra remand for him.

It was only when Xane walked out of the courtroom and hundreds of cameras flashed before his eyes that he snapped out, and tears once again started pouring down his face.

He just started shouting that he did not commit any crime, but the more he cried before them, the more excited they became, as the speed of those camera shutters continued to increase.

It was only when he was pulled into the van, which already had a couple of other prisoners, that he stopped crying.

Everything for the next few hours was short of a blur for him, as this time, instead of taking him to the local police station, he was transferred to the city juvenile prison.

The seriousness of the accusation against him made him guilty in the eyes until proven innocent.

Xane saw his dream shattering before his eyes as he knew it was all over. He mindlessly switched to the black and white prisoner clothes with a number on his shirt.

Still in handcuffs, a jail guard led him into the prison.

After passing through a row of armed forces, he finally walked into a massive building.

He was still in a dazed state, but the moment he walked into the building, a weird smell assaulted his nose.

It almost made him puke.

"Hahahaha!"

"Killllll!"

"Beat, beat, beat!"

"Kill, kill!"

Then all sorts of loud sounds entered his ears. It instantly snapped him out as he looked at the concrete corridor with different jail cells on both sides.

As the jail guard pushed him, he saw how, when the others noticed him, they rushed toward him.

This thin guy, who should be around his age, asked the guard, "Send this new bitch here."

Another voice came from the opposite side. "Z, you already have that last guy. Sir Guard, send this new meat to this cell."

From another jail cell: "No, sir guard, you promised to send him here."

"No, I want the new guy."

The moment those guys saw him, it was like a stone had fallen into a still pond, as ripples spread throughout the jail.

No matter which cell he passed through, these skinny guys all rushed to the jail bars, all trying to catch him.

The way they looked at him sent shivers down his spine. He looked at the guard in hope, but froze when he saw the guard's cold look, as a bad feeling rose in his head.

The guard chose not to entertain any of them and calmly took him to the second-to-last cell on the right side.

For some reason, when they reached there, he heard loud groans and complaints.

"Oh, why does it have to be him?"

"Ahh, I was thinking maybe later on, but it's that guy."

"Haha, this guy must have offended someone big."

Xane just listened to them in confusion, but as he looked at the cell before him, he froze.

Unlike the other cells, no one rushed toward him. All he saw were five bony guys just staring at him in silence.

He felt this eerie creep all over his body, like he was being stared at by some beast.

But still, Xane tried his best to calm down.

Not wasting any time, the guard calmly opened the door and pointed. "Go in."

Even though his heart was urging him to run, he still walked into the cell.

Once he was in, the guard locked the door and, from the small shutter, even removed his handcuffs.

He was about to relax when the guard smiled at him and then turned to the others and said, "He was one of those guys."
