Xane asked in confusion. <Wait, can we pick two accommodations at a time?>

Zayn said in an uncertain tone. [I am not sure, man.]

Xane stopped thinking about that as Marcin pointed to the sofa. "Come."

Xane picked a random side, and Marcin just plopped in front of him with a small table in between them.

Marcin quietly stared at him for a moment and threw back Xane's ID to him. Then asked, "When did you come out?"

Xane said in a casual tone, "I thought all information has a price."

Marcin raised his eyebrow as he nodded his head. "True."

Xane paused for a bit, as he never thought Marcin would be this serious. Well, it was better this way. Still, he said in a calm tone, "Just 2 days earlier."

Marcin looked at him with wide eyes and then glanced at the ID still on the table and mumbled, "So that rumor was true."

Xane tilted his head and said, "Is the truth of me stealing from my roommate already out?"

Marcin stopped speaking altogether.

Even Zayn asked in confusion. [Dude, you're revealing such stuff will make him wary?]

Xane did not care much. He looked into Marcin's eyes and asked, "So, can I use these points to ask for information, or are you one of those morally right people?"

Marcin just nodded. "No problem, but before we start, let me tell you the way I operate. When you ask me a question, I will give you the price. We will only talk about that topic further if you agree to pay."

Xane casually asked, "Can I negotiate?"

Marcin shook his head. "Nope. To continue, you have to pay the fixed price."

Xane once again asked, "Can I only pay with points? What about an equal exchange of information?"

Marcin raised his eyebrow. "What kind of information do you gain while you are fighting for your life?"

Xane shrugged his shoulders. "Nothing, just wanted to know in case I need to come to you in the future."

Marcin was about to shake his head, but then paused. "Well, if it's something that I don't know about, then sure."

Not letting him speak further, Marcin continued, "The payment process will involve 2 steps. Half of the payment in advance, and the other half at the halfway point."

Xane nodded. "Sure, anything else?"

Marcin shook his head and, for the first time, looked straight into his eyes. "Nope, you can start."

Xane stared at Marcin with interest as he could feel that the other guy was no simple person. Too bad he had instructed Zayn to hold back the information about this person, so he wouldn't encounter the same problem as Zayn.

But this method had already started to show its drawbacks.

He made up his mind to talk with Zayn later, as they had to devise a unique method.

Not thinking much about Marcin's background, he decided to start with a general question. "First question, what is the general development in Class 2?"

Marcin paused for a bit. "So, you really know nothing?"

Xane chose not to hide. "These past few days, I was busy inside the artificial world. As you know, tomorrow is the class, that's why I came to you in such a hurry."

Marcin sighed in disappointment, but he recovered fast and said, "1 point. Although you can easily find the information, I will provide a detailed timeline of all the big events that happened in the class."

Xane wasted no time and just transferred one point to Marcin.

Marcin pulled out his ID, which started to flash a blue light, and nodded his head. "Mm, so there were 2 big, important events that happened during the second week. First is the hint about the top 10 competition and team building."

Xane asked with interest, "Oh, so what was the other reaction?"

Marcin casually leaned back and said, "Well, those from big households already revealed some hints about the competition to us commoners, so there wasn't much commotion."

Marcin stared at Xane. "Though once students heard it from Instructor Luna's mouth, they started moving openly. Many from top families openly took the initiative to ask Liam and Samuel to be part of their team."

Xane raised his eyebrow. "Even the red hairs?"

Marcin paused when Xane referred to the house of Zenaris as red hair, but he didn't think much about it. "Yup, it's just that both guys refused to join anyone."

Zayn said in his head. [Well, that was a given. But for Melina to request those guys to be part of her team. Well, that's new.]

Xane acted surprised and asked, "Then?"

"Then there was an elf girl."

Xane asked, "Is she from the House of Blood Moon?"

Marcin shook his head. "Nope, she's just a commoner. Her name is Eline. I remember when she joined, everyone thought Liam and Samuel were creating a team of commoners, but then…"
