With ideas and locations in mind, he began by first selecting the power annexes, and first by the central ones, then the interior and outer power annexes, placing each and followed by the next one on its outermost perimeters. As he placed each of the power annexes, he saw the power distribution widen, though not yet happening, but as predicted in the management system, it saved him a lot of time, so that once it finished construction, it would immediately be built.
However, before that, he focused on the central area, and then surrounded it with concrete walls, which were then given ramparts and towering structures, which were then given flak cannons and automated turrets, followed by cameras and maintenance facilities near it.
Nearby, he placed the core batteries, which would power the structures, followed by the backup and emergency battery supplies. This would then guarantee that it would at least run for a few dozen hours after the power went out.
Although it is highly unlikely, he must also research various ways to harvest energy, one way he is seeing is solar power, as solar was being harvested back at the imperial republic although it was at its infancy stage, that could be used to further prolong the batteries, charging in the morning, and powering it at lights out.
With that in mind, he continued on. Next up were the power shields, although the power shields that he has right now are currently small, and according to the adjutant and their information, the power shields could either face a single direction or encase an entire fortress as a globe.
However, his defenses are not that advanced, and so he would use them to direct them at strategic points in the base, so that when an attack occurs, projectiles would get deflected and critical resources and other kinds of important stuff would be unharmed, and completely out of harm's way.
After placing it down, an option came asking him whether a bubble or a single direction, and he chose the direction, to which direction and how high or low, how far, and its angle, he immediately input.
Once the commands were received, the pop-up notification disappeared, and once his eyes lay upon the map again, he could see the shield as a sort of arced line. With that he selected the next buildings that he was going to place down.
Next up was the foundry, with a flick of a finger he selected it from the group of blueprints and drag it out and placed it down in a suitable location near the manufacturing plants. Although the plants have their own smelters, it is small and a dedicated foundry is important for the sake of industrialization.
Not only is it a dedicated foundry, which means the melted minerals and ores could then be molded and turned into various other products, but it is also critical and commercially viable, which means it would earn big bucks if ever in the world of commerce. Maybe he could sell swords and whatnot, but he would never give out his weapons or any other critical technologies, maybe some civilian ones, but not their blueprint.
After all, it was his empire that was going to dominate, and so he could not have anyone whom he was unsure of. It must be humanity and humanity alone that rise to the top. Quagmire, seemingly lost in thought, with ambitions gradually forming and in time breaking out of his shell of what he once was, and turning into something new. As expected of him.
As the weight of responsibility grows, ambitions also grow larger; after all, both things are correlated. Hard work must be paid, and hard work never betrays, and now he had the opportunity, it would be a waste not to take advantage of it.
Losing in his own train of thought, he suddenly snapped, as he had not yet fully placed down the foundries, and after accepting the confirmation, the foundry was placed down. Once that was done, he placed the foundries at the highest priorities followed by the walls and defense systems that he had bought, as he really needs to bolster the security soon as possible as he would need to raise children, although it is only a few days, he would not take any risks that could potentially endanger him, his base and further more his very own blood.
It would be humiliating if by this point in time he gets killed of being careless, after what he went through. Which is why it would not be a bad idea to be cautious but at the same time decisive, paradoxical it may be, it must be done with absolute precision.
Once he has finished things through and has a firm foundation with enough troops, he would then think of a name for his base and the nation, as his base would absolutely turn into the capital of the nation. Which is one of the reasons urban planning must be carefully considered by him, as it is not a temporary issue, but rather for the future.
With that, he had finished placing everything, though after going and earning more gold coins, he would need to buy more kinds of specialized droids, and also, he had seen drones, which were basically flying droids, in the blueprint store and had been eyeing them. One of the things was the repair and firefight drones, security droids, and more that have not been mentioned, being the reason there were too many. Furthermore, his current specialized droids could also use some upgrades now, so that they could be more durable and efficient.
As things stand, he could see with his very own eyes that the current generation, or in other words, the first generation that he was given, is quite weak, and would often need repairs as it was low level. Once the maintenance facilities were activated, the repairs would quicken, but right now, looking over the side, there was a pile of broken droids that were waiting to be repaired.
With that in mind, he began to think about his next course of action for the day.
