NOVEL NEXT Chapter 253- Emerald Knight
ROAAARRRR… as if announcing it herald, a deep resonant bellow rang through the seas, sending ripples across the surface of the water.
And then it came, the thing that was the source of unrest Reinhardt had been feeling for some time now, finally showed its appearance.
A gigantic tentacle broke out of the water, twisting and turning menacingly in front of the knights standing on the deck. The next second, the gigantic tentacle came slamming as if wanting to smash the ship into bits.
However, the people on board were no ordinary people; they were all trained knights who had faced many odd and disadvantageous situations before. This was just another one of them.
One of the high ranking knights from the Emerald moved, cutting the incredibly tough tentacle into two.
SPLASH… the cut tentacle fell into the seas, and the resonant below of the creature hiding deep underneath could be heard once again.
Given the makeup of the sound, anyone could tell that it was pissed. The next second, many more tentacles, gigantic as they were, broke out of the surface of the water and targeted the ship.
"One, two, three…"
"You idiot, there is no time to count, can't you see there are too many of them. Just start cutting" Vangeance roared towards the boy who was actually counting the tentacles in this time of crisis.
There were so many tentacles that not even the knights of the emerald could handle them all. Fifty, hundred, one fifty, two hundred…
The knights slashed and slashed, and soon they came to a chilling realisation. No matter how many they cut, it appeared as if the tentacles had no end. It just infinitely came out of the water.
The two commanders weren't involved in the clash. Instead, they were at the bow looking for something in the water.
Suddenly, Reinhardt noticed an anomaly in the sea a little far away from them and pointed it out.
Immediately, Jarrel threw an emerald coloured harpoon he created through his skill towards that direction.
BOOM… An attack from a level 9 knight was more powerful than any cannons could ever recreate. In the blink of an eye, the harpoon travelled through the air, sending booming ripples into the air, and appeared before the disturbance in the water.
BANG… A large column of water was displaced, and the pained roar of the creature sounded out.
Bingo, the creature was hiding there, the harpoon hit accurately. However, probably because it was hiding underwater, what the two of them failed to realise was the massive size of the thing they had just attacked.
Something surfaced out of the water; it looked like a mountain had appeared in the middle of the sea out of nowhere. However, at a closer look, it seemed like a head slowly peeking out of the water, massive and terrifying.
A part of its head was injured and pus was coming out of it. The area where Jerrel attacked it earlier. However, it was just too gigantic that it did not hit a vital point.
The creature eyed the humans on the ship with hatred. The next second, it roared, generating terrifying waves in an attempt to topple the ship.
However, with the two commanders defending the ship with their mighty strength, the waves were all silenced and dispersed before they could even draw near.
Seeing that it could not get the desired results, the creature then used its tentacles. At that very instant, all the knights felt their skin crawl. The reason for that being, the terrifying number of tentacles the creature possessed.
Surfacing out of the waters in droves were thousands; no, tens of thousands of giant tentacles. They were already having difficulty fending off just hundreds of them; now they would have to fight more than ten times that number.
If it were any other field, the knights were confident of winning against tens of thousands of these tentacles. However, in the sea where their movement was limited and they were forced to defend the ship, fighting something like that was an incredibly difficult task.
Nevertheless, none of the knights complained or gave up, they simply grinned in excitement at the challenge.
Seeing this, Reinhardt was impressed. The order of the Emeralds was a true knight order with values and chivalry not losing to even the Seven Great Knight Orders of their Solarion.
"You have trained your order excellently".
"Haha, a compliment from the Divine Paladin, I'm sure my knights will be very happy. That said, the situation looks kind of dire. We ought to solve it first".
"Do you have a plan?"
At Reinhardt's question, Jerrel nodded his head. He then grinned, "I'm called the Emerald Knight for a reason. Fwwpp… HAAAHHH!!".
With a loud warcry his body radiated an overwhelming amount of emerald green light. This emerald green light charged towards the sky, affecting the environment and dispersing the cyclones.
Soon, the sky turned green, and with a shuddering momentum, what appeared in front of everyone was a gigantic emerald green knight.
The Gigantic emerald green knight that was connected to the sky only had its torso; nevertheless, the amount of devastating energy it released was enough to destroy a mid size city instantly.
Reinhardt, without needing to even use his [Eyes of Divine Clarity], understood what was going on. The knight had activated his ultimate skill.
"[Emerald World]" Jerrel slowly muttered. At that instance, an emerald glow also appeared in the water, matching the sky. With both the sky and sea becoming emerald, the area turned into an actual emerald world.
ROAARRR… as if feeling the threat, the creature bellowed before trying to dive underground again. However, at this moment, it found itself slowed because of the waters around it, which had actually turned into crystals.
At the same moment, the gigantic knight in the sky extended its hands, grabbed a couple of tentacles, and pulled in a manner of wanting to pull the creature out of the waters.
A level 9 extreme knight who was at the peak of superhuman powers and was just a couples of steps short of reaching the legendary realm of heroes, was as one would expect, extremely strong.
