The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 254- [Divine Beast Summoning] Greater Tier: Thaloryx

That said, maybe it was just a bad matchup or maybe a field disadvantage, the emerald crystals formed on the waters were not as strong as when they form on the ground. The presence of liquid made them brittle.

Thanks to that, the creature broke free of its constraints, tore apart its legs that were being held by the gigantic knight, and dived into the water.

The Emerald World was strong enough to even contend against a Heavenly King. However, when out in the water, it lost most of its effectiveness. Additionally, the opponent also had no intention of coming out of its home field advantage as it dived deeper into the sea again.

The knight commander clicked his tongue, ended his skill, and dropped down from the sky.

"It's still below us," Jerrel spoke, looking down, his eyes grave. The creature of the Devil's Triangle who was responsible for the disappearance of hundreds of ships every year, did not give up, it was still hell bent on killing them.

Seeing that there was no other way than to confront it directly inside the sea, he was just about to dive into the waters, when Reinhardt stopped him.

"Leave this to me, there is no need for you to jump into the sea".

Jerrel thought for a moment before nodding his head. Although he had the confidence of winning against the monster even under sea, he didn't know how long that would take and if his knight order would be able to hold out for that long.

"Then I leave this to you. Do you have a plan?"

"Haha, I always have a plan." It was time he displayed some of his overpowered skills again. Reinhardt flashed a small grin and extended his hands.

The last time he went with a Middle Tier, this time it was for the Greater Tier to shine. The creature thought that it was the ruler of the sea? Then it was time to show it who was the actual venerate of the seas.

In front of this beast, even this terrifying creature with its thousands of tentacles looked cute.

"[Divine Beast Summoning] Greater Tier: Come forth, Thaloryx".

As soon as his words ended, it was as if something changed. The sea began to transform. From stormy waves, it became calm and serene. The fog disappeared, and the sky cleared out, allowing the moon to peek out of the clouds.

A phenomenon that never occurred in the Devil's Triangle. However, today all of that changed as the venerate of the seas was summoned.

The transformation was so abrupt and great that it was felt by even the weakest of the members here, not to mention the creature that was actually in the sea.

At that very moment, there was movement in the distant waters, followed by the appearance of what heralded its death. Reinhardt, who stood at the bow of the ship with Jerrel, finally felt his presence and smiled.

The sea moved with the movement of the venerate, and when it peeked its head up, it was as if the sea itself was trying to lift itself up.

BOOM… waters for miles was displaced; however, not a single wave hit the ship that Reinhardt was on.

And so, it appeared. As colossal and ancient as the sea itself, Thaloryx showed its appearance.

A colossal leviathan bigger than anything man had ever seen. Large serpentine body that gleamed like a polished sapphire. Iridescent scales that shimmered in moonlight covered the entirety of its frame, showcasing its incredible defence.

Long fins that glowed with divine runes, ran along its back and on its head, rested a coral like crown giving it the regal bearing of a sea god's herald.

The moment leviathan surfaced, it placed its attention on the ship that appeared smaller than even an ant compared to its colossal size.

At that instant, all the knights gulped. Those huge cerulean eyes that gazed at them felt vast and intelligent, as if they could see through one's soul and the incredible power that was just exuding out of this beast.

Just when the knights thought that another beast appeared out of nowhere and got ready to fight it, something incredible happened. The beast lowered its head and performed what looked like a bow.

A beast that appeared like the ruler of the sea was actually bowing its head to them? No, it was not them. The knights could tell that the one the beast was paying respect to was the man in platinum gold armor.

As if to prove that they were right, the Divine Paladin spoke. He looked into the eyes of that colossal creature and commanded.

"Thaloryx, show that arrogant creature the power of the venerate of the seas and remove this incorrigible name of Devil's Triangle from this land forever".

The leviathan obeyed his command. The next second, it turned towards the thing hiding deep beneath the sea. At that very moment, the runes marked on its body glowed and a humongous whirlpool appeared in the sea.

The whirlpool was so large that it looked like the maw of an abyss; anything and everything that was sucked into it would be crushed into bits. One mile, two miles, ten miles… In just a matter of a second, the whirlpool encompassed the entire Devil's Triangle, pulling everything towards it.

ROAARRR… naturally, the creature was no exception. It bellowed deeply, trying to regain control of the waters. However, in front of the venerate of the sea, the ocean itself bows in reverence.

What was a mere Devil's Triangle compared to it? Within seconds, the humongous yet still small compared to Thaloryx, devil of the sea was pulled out from the bottom of the seabed.

ROARRR… The scene that unfolded next could only be described as a full on monster smackdown. The creature, with its thousands of tentacles, tried to grab Thaloryx and bind it in place.

However, the moment it touched those scales, all of its tentacles froze and broke apart.
