The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 250- Devil's Triangle

While he put it as questioning everyone was clear that this was a trial, one that was even being conducted by a foreign nation. There was no one who would be taking their side. If the trial found them guilty, it was a one way ticket to the gallows.

Gathering her courage, the girl who was a little apprehensive, asked a question to the foreign knight.

"Was it really my sister who destroyed your city?"

"There is no doubt. I fought her myself".

The knight's answer caused the already pale face of the young girl to become even paler. If a man of his calibre was saying that, then it had to be true.

On the side, Reinhardt narrowed his eyes. The one to pick them up was the Order of the Emeralds. He recalled that they were an extremely famous order of knights in the kingdom of Rune.

Their position back in their kingdom might just be like the Seven Great Knight Orders. What's more, the person who just greeted them was also an extremely famous figure.

"Although I was tasked by the king to bring back the Earl of Odessa or, if not, the message from Solaris. I didn't think I would meet the one they call the Divine Paladin. It is an honor to meet you, Sir Reinhardt".

With numerous legendary eats as tall as the sky itself, there was hardly any knight in this world who did not know him. At Jerrel's words, Reinhardt met the extended hand in greeting.

"To meet the knight who is rumoured to become the next king of Rune, the honor is mine".

That's right, this extremely famous knight in front of him was not only a powerful level 9 knight, but he was also the man closest to becoming the next king of Rune. No, closest would be an understatement as Jerrell was almost but guaranteed to become the next king, having already adopted the royal surname of the kingdom, Jerrel Rune.

At those words, the other party smiled helplessly and shook his head.

"Since Sir Reinhardt will also be coming with us, please understand that I will have to make a report before we leave."

After saying that, Jerrel left his knight to watch over them and left towards the adventurer's guild, probably to send a message to his kingdom of the Divine Paladin's arrival.

If it were any other level 9 knight, it wouldn't warrant such caution from the other party. However, it was Reinhardt who was coming to their kingdom. A level 10 visiting was actually a pretty big deal after all; they possessed power greater than an entire country's military.

If they went berserk, the only one who could stop them was another level 10 hero.

It didn't take long for Jerrel to return. Once he was back, the convoy of more than fifty knights began their journey back to the kingdom of Runes.

To reach the neighboring country of Runes, one can take two routes. One, travel through land, and second, sea fare.

The first route went through the meandering mountain range and usually took a very long time. As such, the route that they will be taking is through the sea.

.

.

Three days later, they arrived at the Sunycoast City, a port city that was famous for its commerce and was the lifeline of Soalris. Their convoy was going to take a ship from here back to the Kingdom of Rune.

As the order of the Emerald arrived at the kingdom of Solaris by sea, they had their own ship prepared and docked in the Sunyoast city.

The voyage began once all of them boarded the ship. And so, on their fourth day of travel, they reached the port city Sunycoast and were now departing for the Kingdom of Rune.

"Whoa, this is my first time travelling through the sea. The feeling of salty sea breeze hitting you is just awesome. Don't you think so too, Senior Vangeance?"

Kevin spoke in high spirits and then turned towards the knight next to him. However, forget about enjoying the sea travel, the latter was busy barfing his stomach out.

"W-What's going on with you, Senior Vangance? Are you alright? Did you eat anything bad? Did you head go stupid?" The boy cluelessly asked.

"Shut up… barf" the knight wanted to say something, however, the moment he opened his mouth, he started barfing again.

"Leave him be, that guy has sea sickness," Silvia muttered from the side, trimming her nails.

"Why are you dressed like this? This isn't a picnic, you know." Kevin pointed out. Silvia was dressed in casual clothing and a hat, seemingly blending with the mood.

"The ship has a store, you can buy it from there too".

"Really? I'll go now" The boy, as gullible as ever, headed for the store.

"You are making all thugs look bad with that pathetic state of yours, you know?" Silvia teased.

"W-Who are you calling a thug, you flatboard".

BANG… a straight punch to the guts, Vangeance started barfing again.

"Y-You.." Attacking him when he was in such a state, and this woman called herself a knight? Where did all her chivalry go?

"Listen carefully, there is something wrong with the sailors sailing this ship," Silvia suddenly whispered near Vangeance's ears.

At that instant, the latter's eyes sharpened, and he couldn't help but ask "What do you mean?"

"I can tell, they have been eyeing and keeping tabs on us for a while. Look around, don't be too obvious. You will see that there is constantly at least one sailor monitoring us, pretending to work on something".

Hm? Now that she mentioned it, he could indeed see them wherever he went. It would have made sense had there been a lot of sailors manning the ship. However, there were only as many sailors as needed to barely sail the ship.

So them being present wherever they were was indeed suspicious.

"What about the other knight order? Are they also involved in this?"

Silvia shook her head, saying that she did not know.
