The Absolute beast Tamer

Chapter 139: HARMONIOUS DEAL

The chilling aura enveloped the whole room. Mr. Rowan had a surprised look in his eyes; behind him, the little fatty's eyes flashed with greed, but his expression returned to normal in a matter of seconds, completely hiding whatever nefarious intentions he had.

What shocked everyone was what came next as the noble lady turned her head to look at the youngster behind her.

Alan, who had Theodora's permission, walked towards the case held by Mr. Lonton.

The more he walked towards the case, the heavier the sharpness he felt.

As if this little shrapnel was the center of a gale storm ready to shred anything that came near it to pieces.

Everyone was slightly surprised to watch the youngster gently using his aura to touch the shrapnel, with the fluid movement of an expert that did not match his age. He did not take long to retreat back and take a paper and pen to write with.

Item: [scale of the colitas Gale Drake]

Grade: [???]

Description: [The scales of a Colitas Gale Drake, who transcended the 9th stage, are an excellent material for armor smithing and have a multitude of uses, such as the core of a gale defensive formation, and are extremely precious…..]

With a simple gesture he handed the paper back to Lady Theodora, who took her time reading it. The whole process did not take more than a minute before a slight smile appeared on Lady Theodora's neutral face.

Lady Theodora: "The item is indeed what we agreed upon; I shall take the item I promised Mr. Lonton now."

Folding the paper in her hand and handing it to Alan, she used the space bracelet on her beautiful wrist.

Mr. Rowan and his assistant did not take their eyes off for a second as they waited in anticipation to see what the lady would take out.

Suddenly the whole room was covered in red light as a small red stone appeared in Theodore's hands. Finally, Mr. Rowan, who was probably the calmest in the room, could not hide the red light flashing in his eyes and the change in his expressions as he saw the stone. If the people in the room carefully looked at this old man, they would see and feel a hint of madness and greed changing his whole demeanor as soon as he saw the stone.

The little red stone gave a bloody feeling; behind the unremarkable appearance hid a massive amount of raging vitality. It was apparent to everyone in the room that this thing was sinister.

Yet before Theodora could move to hand the stone to Mr. Lonton, something unexpected happened.

As everyone was watching, the young man moved again, gently taking the stone off Lady Theodora's hand, his hand clenched in a fist covering the small stone as he walked to deliver it to Mr. Lonton.

Even Theodora was surprised by what Alan did, but on the inside she was actually pleased, as she thought to herself, "He is really acting as my little follower. I guess I should give him a raise; after all, his description was perfect. Appraising such an item at his age is already something to be proud of."

Alan: "This is the item promised by my lady. I'll be taking the case. I hope that is okay, Mr. Lonton."

Mr. Lonton gave a look to Mr. Rowan, who simply nodded his head, so the exchange took place.

Mr. Lonton gave Alan the case containing the shrapnel and took the small red stone immediately, handing it over to Mr. Rowan, who carefully took the stone in his hands as if he were handling the most precious treasure in this world.

The beast-like man and the fatty had their eyes glued on the small red stone all the way until Mr. Rowan put it in a small case and then hid it within the spatial ring on his hand.

Suddenly the sound of clapping hands drew everyone's attention.

Ancestor Lonton: "This was a pleasant exchange. Now will you allow this old man to show you some hospitality? I believe that dinner is ready. Would you all be kind enough to share a meal with this old man celebrating his return from the dead?"

The invitation came directly from the ancestor, so no one could refuse. Even Theodora has to show respect in front of the old man.

Mr. Rowan: "It is our pleasure to share a feast with your ancestor."

Theodora: "We will drink for your recovery, your lordship. May the Lontons prosper under your guidance for many years to come."

Ancestor: "Hahahahaha, good, good, let's move to the dining room."

The full-of-life attitude the old man was giving felt like a dream, as everyone could not compare his previous state with the man standing in front of them, full of vitality and life.

Theodora, with Alan and Lana, followed everyone to the dining room.

As everyone sat down around the huge decorated table, the maids brought out one dish after another, with all kinds of delicacies presented to the guests.

The old man even went to the seller, taking multiple precious bottles of spirit wine. The joyful aura clearly filled the house.

Lana: "I felt like a child now when I saw my big sister handling business. Even you, Alan, performed admirably on such an occasion. I still have a long way to go."

Lana whispered to Alan, who was sitting right next to her.

Alan: "You just have a little more to learn; someday you will even be better than your sister. But everything takes time; this occasion was a very good learning opportunity for you. Nothing comes out suddenly in life; everything takes time. Step by step, you will even be better than me doing business. Just don't rush yourself."

Lana finally felt better; Theodore, who observed the exchange, smiled at her cute cousin finally settling her eyes on this unpredictable and mysterious young man in front of her.

She really did take him out on this occasion on a whim, but he proved to be mature beyond his years, completely calm during the whole process of the transaction, even performing his duty as an appraiser on the spot, which slightly shocked her.

Ancestor: "Please eat; let's celebrate this joyful occasion."

Everyone sampled the delicious food, as the tender atmosphere and the joy felt by the old man made it a wonderful dinner.

Yet during this joyful time, Mr. Rowan was having a whole different conversation with his two assistants, exchanging eye contact at all times.

...….

"Let's just kill them all and get out of here."

"Why the hurry? There are fine ladies right in front of us. Why don't you enjoy yourself? Then we can leave. The old man is just an old bag of bones completely running on fumes right now."

Mr. Rowan turned his head as he gave his subordinates a stern look.

"Even if we can kill everyone here, killing the lady in front of us is a huge risk. We will be hunted down like dogs. Both of you know her background. We have a vital mission here, and we have accomplished it, so we will leave peacefully without raising any flags. You two understand what I mean. If you become the reason to disappoint the higher-ups, even your lives won't be enough to pay for failure in today's mission."

Both Mr. Lamar and Mr. Wilkins had colorful expressions on their faces after being rejected by Elder Rowan. The lust and carnage heading behind their clear eyes was raging to act, yet they restrained themselves; after all, failure today is not an option.

Suddenly Mr. Rowan raised his almost empty glass of the precious spirit wine.

"It was my pleasure to break bread with the ancestor. May you and your family prosper for many centuries to come.

Sadly even good times come to an end; please excuse us three, as we have many businesses to attend to. We will take our leave."

Ancestor: "I will always remember this huge favor. You have given me practically a new life, so if you need anything in the future, the doors of my London family will always be open for you."

Mr. Rowan: "It is my pleasure."

Yet as soon as they stood up, a voice came from the other end of the table, cutting this harmonious atmosphere.

"I'm afraid that you can't leave, Mr. Rowan; after all, our deal is not over yet!?"
