The Absolute beast Tamer

Chapter 138: ONE WAY

As the sun was going down, Butler Roman was escorting Theodora and the rest of them to the place where the parties were gathered.

As they were walking, they finally reached the room where they saw young master Sammy standing together with a middle-aged man. Right next to them, three people were waiting in front of the door.

One old man with shriveled skin behind him and a fat youngster next to him stood a huge man that looked like a beast.

The three of them gave off an unsettling vibe; the glome atmosphere around them did not escape Alan's and Theodore's senses.

"Thank you for coming on such short notice, Lady Theodora."

Theodora: "It's always a pleasure to make a deal with the Lontons, Mr. Lonton."

Mr. Lonton: "Let me introduce you. The gentleman behind me is Mr. Roan. The two behind him are his assistants, Mr. Lamar and Mr. Wilkins.

Mr. Roan I believe the lady in front of us doesn't need any introduction."

Mr. Roan: "The name and the fame have spread all around; it's a pleasure, my lady."

Theodore simply nodded her head, acknowledging the old man, yet behind her gaze was a curious and cautious light as she focused on the third party in this transaction.

Mr. Lonton: "Before we go inside, let me confirm a few details. In the three-way exchange that will take place, first Mr. Roan and his party will provide us, the Lontons, with the promised cure.

Then I will exchange the promised treasures with Lady Theodora, handing over the item the lady brought to Mr. Roan. But only after confirming the cure has taken effect.

The deal will take place in front of the ancestor of this household.

My father is Leica Lonton, who is inside this room right now.

Do any of you have any objections? Please do tell right now."

Mr. Roan: "None on my end."

Theodora: "I do not have any objection to the arrangement."

Mr. Lonton: "Then all is well. Please follow me inside, and remember you are in the presence of our ancestor. Let's get this deal done and have a pleasant dinner together afterward."

Mr. Lonton opened the door as he entered a massive bedroom that had little to no furniture. The only thing that stood out inside was the huge bed in the center of the room.

Everyone entered the room as nerves got tense and the atmosphere turned solemn.

.....

Mr. Lonton: "Father, I have brought the guest with me."

On the huge bed an old man that was beaten by time lay still, the stench of death mixed with the smell of drugs. The dry skin covered with wound marks Tell many tales of fighting life-and-death battles.

Even at his weakest moments, the dignity of a mighty man once was and still is behind the weak exterior that everyone saw, where the light in the eyes of the old man reflected no such weakness at all.

Leica Lonton: "Ahhh huh… welcome… Guests, please excuse this old man…as I am not able to greet you properly…huh."

Everyone, with no exception, bowed their heads in front of the old man. Alan, who was observing everything with his perception, felt the diminishing vitality of the old man yet a terrifying spirit that did not surrender to the situation.

Mr. Lonton: "I have asked Lord Angus to preside over the transaction on my end; his lordship is a third-class evolution master."

Strange light flashed in Roan's eyes.

As another elder entered the room, this was quoted by Roman, the head butler.

Lord Angus: "I'm honored to be able to pay back an old friend. How is your body?"

Leica Lonton: "Thank you for coming over, old friend. My body is breaking apart, but my fight is not done yet."

Mr. Linton: "We'll start with the transaction. Mr. Roan, your party has promised us a life form; please provide what you promised."

Roan gave Lamar a look, who immediately brought a small box out, handing it over to Mr. Lonton, who opened it.

A small worm was wiggling inside a glass pen; a shocking amount of vitality could be felt spreading all over the room.

Like water flooding an empty tank, Mr. Lonton's expressions eased as he passed the box to Lord Angus's hand and waited in silence.

A few moments went by that felt like days for everyone inside the room.

Only when Mr. Angus talked did everyone breathe out.

Mr. Angus: "It is indeed a life worm, old friend. I will administer it immediately."

Opening the glass case, Mr. Angus took out the worm carefully as he brought it near Leica Lonton's shriveled skin.

The moment the small worm touched the skin, as if it had that purpose, it suddenly burrowed within the old master's body.

It did not take long before a massive amount of aura exploded forth from the old man as life and vitality returned in a matter of moments.

Like a sleeping dragon who suddenly woke up, the man stood carefully from his bed, exhaling the air from his lungs and inhaling again as if he was sampling life itself once more.

Mr. Lonton, who was watching his father getting younger and healthier, almost could not contain his happiness, as he felt the huge weight on his shoulder vanish in an instant.

Leica Lonton: "It has been a long time since I felt like this. I guess these old bones of mine still have some time left in them."

Sammy, who was watching everything happening in front of him, finally let go of his clenched fist as his nerves relaxed.

Mr. Roan: "Congratulations, your lordship. May you prosper for many centuries to come."

Theodora: "With you at the helm, your lordship, the Lontons will prosper more and more. Congratulations."

Leica: "Thank you; this is all thanks to the guests who agreed to facilitate this deal. You have my gratitude. I hope that you will remember this."

Mr. Lonton: "Ahem, Mr. Roan has held his part of the deal, so it's time for us and you, my lady, to do the exchange."

The head butler, Roman, took out a case and passed it over to Mr. Lonton.

Who gently opened the case, The gentle gesture was followed by a violent aura that shocked everyone inside the room.

A terrifyingly chilling aura almost solidified in the vision of everyone who was watching, coming from the small shrapnel-like item that was in the case.

The moment Theodora saw the shrapnel, a sharp light and delight reflected in her beautiful eyes, as her target for today's deal was right in front of her eyes.
