Chapter 507: How did it go?
Idan was pleasantly surprised to learn that the Sphere was capable of restoring Essora's bloodline.
For Essora herself, it was a real shock.
She couldn't contain her emotions and burst into tears of joy. She already thought that she had lost her bloodline and had become one of those beings who had destroyed their Kingdom and killed her entire family, except for her younger brother.
"Is this really related to the unique ability of the Sphere related to the element of time?" asked Idan, not missing the opportunity to find out about it.
"Perhaps I do not know," replied Essora, also wanting to understand this question.
Finally, Essora stopped crying and wiped her tears.
"How's that? Did you manage to gain access to the Sphere's unique ability?" Idan asked, his interest obvious. He wouldn't have given up such a useful item if he hadn't hoped that Essora would be able to use it.
"Of course," Essora confirmed.
"Besides the four I already know — 'Concealment,' 'Noise Suppression,' 'Communication Suppression,' and 'Bloodline Locator,' I can use the fifth, 'Time Manipulation.'"
"Now I can stop, decelerate, and accelerate time within the area created by the Sphere," Essora continued. "These three abilities directly depend on the size of the area covered by the Sphere. The larger the area, the duration of the time stop inside the area is shortened. As for the other two, deceleration and acceleration, their multiplier decreases in proportion to the increase in area."
"What about rewinding time?" asked Idan.
"Unfortunately, the Sphere doesn't have that ability," — Essora shook her head. "Sphere perceives time as a linear quantity, constantly moving forward. Therefore, it can only stop, decelerate or accelerate its progress, but not rewind it."
"Due to the fact that my Chronomarian bloodline is too weak, the time for which time can be stopped, as well as the time dilation and acceleration multipliers, are very small," with these words, Essora felt her spirits sink.
"Do you know how small they are, or do you need to test everything first?" Idan asked.
"Yes, I need to run tests to get accurate data," Essora nodded. "Right now, I only have a general idea of it."
"Good," — Idan happily slapped his knees.
"Now comes the most important thing," he said.
"I remember you saying that even with a Sphere, it takes energy to use this ability to manipulate time," Idan reminded Essora. "So what type of energy is needed for the Sphere?"
"Any of them?" - Essora said a little uncertainly, and to make sure, she focused on her connection with the sphere.
"Yes, any energy will do," she said more confidently.
"The amount of energy needed to keep the sphere running depends on the quality," she added.
"Any of them?" — Idan was surprised. He assumed that the time manipulation ability would require a special type of energy, such as time element crystals or something similar.
But it seems he was just thinking too much.
"Great!" — Idan was very pleased with the result.
Although Essora warned that currently, due to the lack of purity of her bloodline, time manipulation through the Sphere is not very effective, but due to the fact that the Sphere has already begun to purify her bloodline, her power and abilities will grow.
"Essora," — Idan called. "You've already spent some time in our world, and you must have already heard about Guilds?"
Essora nodded, confirming that she knew about them.
"How would you like to join our Guild?" asked Idan. "To the Guild that my girlfriend and I created together."
"Join your guild?"—Essora was pleasantly surprised.
"Yes," Idan confirmed. "If you become our member, you will have all the same rights as the rest. When you learn more about the Sphere and how to manage time, we will discuss creating a time room so that everyone can use it. You will be responsible for this."
"Don't worry," Idan added, noticing Essora's slight hesitation. "We will take care of the energy needed to operate the Sphere, and those who want to use the room will pay for it. Part of the fee will remain with you, and part will be given to the Guild."
"And what will happen to my brother?" asked Essora.
"As a family member of our Guild member, he will be under our protection. We'll take care of him," Idan replied with confidence. "Now you and your brother can live here with us, but in the future we will build new houses and provide you with a separate room."
"Okay, I agree to join your guild," Essora agreed. She and her brother already had nowhere to go, so she accepted the offer without hesitation.
"Welcome to the Kingdom Guild! Idan said, holding out his hand.
Essora did not immediately understand what this gesture meant, but then, remembering, she held out her hand, and they shook hands firmly.
"Here, take these mana crystals. Use them to check the Sphere," Idan said, handing Essora a magic bag filled with enough crystals obtained as a result of Coco's robbery.
The System had identified them as essential supplies for them, and up to that point they hadn't felt a particular need for them. The bag Idan had given them didn't contain all the crystals, but only a fraction of the large amount they had.
"You can go back to your brother," he dismissed Essora. She nodded and was about to return to the room when Idan added:
"Now the three of you don't have to hide in the room all the time, but go out and walk around."
"Really?" exclaimed Essora happily.
Idan nodded in response.
"Thank you," she said, and without hesitation, hugging the Sphere tighter with the magic bag, hurried back to the room.
Idan, left alone, leaned back in his chair and, putting aside all thoughts, plunged into relaxation. However, he couldn't enjoy being alone for long. Arabel, Lucinda, and the Princess soon emerged from the hallway.
"Oh, you finished it quickly," Idan noted.
"Big Sister and the Princess have completed their part, and I didn't delay them," Arabel replied with a smile. "I'll see them off."
"No need, we'll do it ourselves," Lucinda refused. After calling the Princess, they both left the house and headed for the Access Portal that led to Limbo.
Arabel watched them go. Then, walking over to Idan, she settled on his lap without any questions.
"How did it go?" — Idan asked, hugging Arabel, about Milena's case.
"Although the Queen has changed so much and turned into a Princess, she has not lost her ability to absorb bloodlines. With ease and zeal, she absorbed Milena's unknown bloodline, leaving only her human part," Arabel replied, snuggling into Idan's embrace.
"Big sister has been supporting Milena's condition with her healing abilities all this time, and she has also done a great job," Arabel praised Lucinda's abilities.
"I gave Milena a Rank 4 bloodline restoration potion so that her human bloodline would recover at least 50 percent before giving her bloodline change potions," Arabel said. She spent 1,000 System Points on this Rank 4 potion, which greatly reduced their already small supply.
"Is it really impossible to do without a bloodline change potion?" asked Idan, who believed that since Arabel had already given Milena a Rank 4 bloodline restoration potion, there was no need to use bloodline change potions.
"No, Dan," — Arabel shook her head and looked up at him. "The Princess has consumed two thirds of her bloodline, and a single potion cannot completely restore her human bloodline."
"We could have left everything as it is, but then Milena would have remained disabled," she continued. "And we would have to spend even more if we wanted to restore her human bloodline. In comparison, it is much cheaper to completely replace her bloodline, and besides, it will be more profitable for Milena to change it than to preserve the human one. No matter how you look at it, it benefits both us and Milena."
"I understand now," Idan replied to her.
"Her condition is relatively stable right now, and we'll have to wait until morning and see how well her human bloodline recovers before giving her a bloodline change potion," Arabel sighed.
"You did a good job," Idan praised her. Arabel smiled happily at that.
"Aren't you curious about what kind of bloodline I'm going to give her?" — Arabel asked, looking at Idan with a slight mischief in her eyes.
"No", — Idan replied bluntly, and Arabel's smile froze at his unexpected reply.
"Ah ha ha", — Idan laughed, hugging Arabel tighter.
"It was a joke", — He said. "I don't have to guess, because I know what the bloodline is."
"Oh? What's that?" — Arabel barely restrained herself from hitting him for this joke.
"The Valkyrie bloodline, of course. Am I right?" said Idan confidently, and immediately after his words, Arabel's bright smile shone on her face again, but then she pouted slightly.
"I can't hide anything from you," she said with slight annoyance.
"Well, I already have a rough idea of what you're up to," Idan replied, kissing her gently on the lips. "My Queen."
"Heh, heh, heh," — Arabel laughed. "As a Queen, I need loyal subordinates. And since I have several Valkyrie bloodlines, why don't I become the Valkyrie Queen and gather the loyal sisters from our world around me?"
"Why not?" said Idan.
"Exactly," Arabel nodded. "And Milena will become my first Valkyrie sister from our world."
