Chapter 508: Immediate plans
"Who else are you going to involve in this?" — Idan himself recently thought about it. If they have a way to help others change bloodlines, then why not create a group of dedicated people around them?
Arabel seemed to be thinking about it, too. She mainly targeted the girls, aiming to turn them into Valkyries, just like herself.
Idan, unlike her, wasn't limited to one Alpha bloodline. On the contrary, he believed that the more variety there was, the better.
"I would like to invite Hailey, but because of her System, she, like Felicia, is not suitable," Arabel sounded regretful. "I will look at those three girls whose Systems have sworn allegiance to our System."
"But I won't invite just anyone. I will carefully select the right people," she added. "Milena is a great fit, so I'll start with her. However, I want to get her consent first. I don't want to impose my own on people if they don't want it."
"Do as you wish," Idan said.
"And you? Have you ever thought about something like that?" asked Arabel.
"I'm still working on it and I haven't come to a final decision yet," Idan replied.
There was a slight pause, in which only their breathing and the beating of their hearts could be heard, they were so close.
At that moment, Idan remembered his recent conversation with Essora about her new ability.
"Belle," he called, and Arabel looked up. "In the morning, when you go to visit Milena, invite Essora with you."
"Essora?" Arabel was slightly surprised by Idan's unexpected suggestion.
"Yes, her," Idan confirmed. He told about his conversation with Essora and how he gave her the Sphere. Due to her connection to the Sphere and her Chronomarian bloodline, she gained the ability to manipulate time.
Idan also made no secret of the fact that he invited her to join their guild, and she agreed.
"Oh, so she didn't lie to you, and Essora was actually able to gain the ability to manipulate time with the Sphere?" Arabel sounded pleasantly surprised.
"Yeah, so take her with you in the morning. I think that during the night, with the mana crystals that I provided her, Essora will be able to more or less test the ability of the Sphere," Idan suggested.
"Okay, I'll call her in the morning," Arabel agreed. She herself was curious to see what Essora was capable of at her current level, and the situation with Milena was perfect for testing her skills.
"How would you like to take a walk around the Capital tomorrow, as soon as I get back from Limbo?" asked Idan, and Arabel looked at him in surprise without blinking. "We could check out the local cuisine at the same time."
Arabel didn't answer and continued to stare at him.
"You don't want to?" said Idan with slight concern, feeling his heart begin to beat faster.
"Of course I do," Arabel finally said.
Idan noticed how her heart rate was accelerating, as if in unison with his own.
"I thought you'd be busy soon, so I decided to wait. I didn't expect you to propose so quickly," Arabel whispered.
"Of course, we have a lot of things to do, and they're not going anywhere," Idan said, as if to emphasize that Arabel was more important to him than all the worries ahead. He kissed her gently on the lips, and she kissed him back.
Although Idan and Arabel had not yet moved on to passionate kissing, it was enough for them to express their affection for each other.
"You are more important to me, so from now on, I will find time so that we can spend it together without thinking about business," Idan promised. He had already planned to involve others in their case, instead of trying to solve all the cases on his own.
Arabel couldn't find the words to express her feelings. She was very happy to hear this and supported the idea with all her might.
Idan decided to take advantage of the moment and discuss his immediate plans with Arabel.
First, he voiced his desire to grant Alois and Liam access to their territory. His intentions were simple: of all the people he knew, Alois had the most experience in the Path of Mastery. Idan and Arabel needed to discover their Sword Path given by the System without ignoring it.
It was impractical to constantly move between their territory and Limbo, so the easiest solution was to give Alois and Liam access to their territory so they could come whenever they were free.
Arabel not only didn't mind, but she was thrilled with the idea. Unlike Idan, she was better with a sword than with magic, and her basic stats proved it. Liam, Alois' student, was the perfect sparring partner to practice their skills.
In addition, Alois and Liam could help not only the two of them, but also anyone who wanted to improve their skills.
Idan was willing to pay them for their services.
The next thing Idan talked about was the development of their territory.
There was desolate land around their two-story house, and this area was enough to build a small village without entering the ring of seasons area.
Arabel was impressed by all the preparations and actions that Idan had already taken. She especially liked his idea of involving doppelgangers in this project.
She became even more convinced that she also had to contribute to the common cause and work with full dedication.
"How are we going to entertain all these doppelgangers?" she asked.
"We need to find a secure way to connect to the network from our territory. If we can do that, then there won't be any problems with entertainment," Idan replied. "Movies, cartoons, games, and a variety of videos will be a great start to get their attention."
"Haha, that's right," Arabel remarked, but deep down she had some doubts and fears.
"It is necessary to first investigate the effects of movies, cartoons and games on doppelgangers," she said. "I don't want them to be too impressed and cause trouble."
"You're right," Idan agreed, imagining how the doppelgangers would suddenly start copying characters from movies and cartoons.
It wouldn't be so scary if it was just something like cosplay. However, knowing that doppelgangers could copy not only their appearance, but also their behavior, Idan realized that it would be a real disaster if they started imitating monsters and villains.
Idan and Arabel decided to hold a small meeting for all the Guild members and their allies.
The purpose of the meeting was clear: to introduce all participants to each other and outline the main directions of the Guild's development and the next action plans. They also wanted to determine who would be responsible for what and what they would be doing.
This was necessary so that all members of the Guild could work and act effectively, even without the constant guidance of Idan and Arabel.
They decided that the meeting would be held on the day when Milena, if she gave her consent, would complete the process of changing her bloodline.
