Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1279: Battle Addict

"Fenrir?!" Nathan widened his eyes in shock. He couldn't even sense a presence. In fact, the others looked as surprised as him.

Without them realizing it, there was an elite class alien that had closed in and almost killed them.

"Raaa!" Fenrir almost fell down, but he managed to put his leg forward and prevent himself from collapsing. He then let out a roar, using his absolute force to knock the alien back.

The alien pulled out his blade and jumped away.

Fenrir could finally get a clear look at the alien that had just stabbed him. The alien itself was humanoid. It had pale grey skin, covered with black patterns from the black cell.

His right hand turned into a blade sharp enough to pierce his body easily. His height was only three to four meters. Compared to his 10-meter-tall body in normal size, he was tiny.

However, the real problem was his strength. It was clear that the enemy before him was of an elite class.

Not only that, but the special ability of this alien must be related to invisibility. The invisibility was not normal either.

It completely erased its power and presence. If not for him being that close, he couldn't even sense this extraordinary strength.

It was a unique ability that could fool even his senses. Of course, his senses might not be as sharp as Louis', but he still had the sharpest senses among the familiars.

In other words, this alien was the exact opposite of the elite class plant. It was their worst matchup.

Anubis regained his composure quickly and healed Fenrir, but that wasn't a problem. If the alien could sneak around Nathan, it could do it again and again. At one point, the alien might slip past them and harm their summoner.

Fenrir shouted, "I will take care of him."

"!!!" Nathan's body shook. This was the first time Fenrir's voice had sounded this determined. It was as if he wouldn't take 'no' for an answer.

However, the danger didn't stop there. Because of the elite class alien with this invisibility power, they forgot the fact that there was one more elite class alien in the premise.

Bam!

The bubbles at the tips of the tentacles suddenly fell down. One of them was near them, so Nathan could see what was going on. The alien near it actually took a bite of this pupa-like fruit.

Then, the body of that alien mutated. Its body became bulkier, and its strength was amplified. Nathan originally sensed a mature class alien, but thanks to that mutation, Nathan's instinct was telling him the one in front of him was a mutated mature class. No, it might even reach the warrior class.

"Seriously?" Nathan gasped.

The two elite class aliens before them were much more troublesome than he originally thought. The first one was able to hide even from Fenrir's senses. The second one could transform many aliens.

Nathan shouted, "Go up!"

Without hesitation, Nathan climbed the mountain.

Fenrir had no choice but to maintain a close distance to the elite class alien to make sure it couldn't launch another ambush. The rest of the familiars followed Nathan closely, not knowing what Nathan planned to do.

It looked like the octopus-like alien noticed him. It sent forth its massive tentacle toward Nathan.

Nathan could see that a single slap from its tentacle would be enough to destroy a part of the mountain.

So, Nathan had no choice but to adjust his plan. "Orochi!"

Yamato-no-Orochi appeared in front of the octopus. Orochi's current size was only half of the octopus, but it was enough to stop a mere tentacle.

Orochi bit the tentacles with three of his heads. He then used the remaining five heads to release a poison breath.

The octopus sent forth three tentacles forward, creating a wall that was reinforced by the black cell. It stopped the poison breath, leaving no scratch on its surface.

Suddenly, several powerful aliens leaped toward Orochi's head. They all had been boosted with the fruit the octopus condensed earlier. Two of them had reached the warrior class. The most terrifying thing was that they had numbers.

The aliens scratched, stabbed, and punched one of Orochi's heads and knocked it to the side.

"Annoying!" Orochi roared before sending the poison breath at them.

He managed to take them down, but the octopus took that opportunity to slap Orochi with a tentacle.

"Gah!" Orochi got knocked down.

Still, Orochi had bought enough time for Nathan to get some distance and use his teleportation safely.

Once he reached the top of the mountain, Nathan noticed two things. The first one would be the three glowing stones on the very top. The top of the mountain was a flat land spanning over five meters, so it was easy to see the three glowing spots.

He could easily dig them out before retreating. This was his original objective after all.

The second thing he noticed was their current situation. Now that he had gotten a good view of what was happening all around the mountain, he realized they were in a bad situation.

A lot of aliens were climbing the mountain to kill him. There were two elite class aliens with annoying unique abilities. One of them even struck Fenrir.

Still, the most annoying opponent would be the second one. This elite class alien had transformed tens of aliens and that number continued to grow.

At this rate, hundreds of aliens would mutate and get stronger. In addition, the elite class alien itself was big, and a single slap could overpower Orochi.

The safest option would be to teleport away and change their approach. They had gotten what they came here for, just missing the two elite class cores, but those cores were a bonus.

However, Fenrir suddenly shouted, "Oi! Don't you dare teleport! We are not going away from this. This alien is dangerous. If we lose this alien, this guy can appear in places we don't expect."

"I, too, don't plan to back down. I have seen situations more dire than this." Orochi smirked, getting even more excited.
