Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1280: Summoning the Ninth Familiar

"..." Nathan fell silent.

On the one hand, the safest choice would be to get away from this place. They could regroup and form another strategy now that they knew about the aliens' abilities.

On the other hand, he couldn't completely ignore his divine beasts' opinions. They were correct to a certain extent.

If he had such a powerful invisibility, he could turn the battle into a guerilla battle. If he appeared out of nowhere, the ambush next time would definitely kill Nathan even with Fenrir beside him.

At the same time, an alien that could transform other aliens was extremely dangerous. It could create an army of mutants, so if it decided to attack the human settlement, the battle would be much fiercer compared to the plant alien he fought a few days ago.

Fenrir and Orochi assessed that they should kill these two aliens right away, even if it would be a tough fight.

Besides, Nathan had gotten a lot of ena from killing the plant alien as well as all other aliens on the way here.

He managed to gather enough ena to distribute 500,000 ena to three of his familiars. Obviously, he gave it to Jinwu, Kun, and Qilin and let them unlock the next level of their divinity.

Mae had agreed to wait until they summoned the next familiar.

Nathan had to make a decision. The enemies had two elite class aliens with annoying abilities and two thousand lower-level aliens, but because of the elite class alien, there would be tens of warrior class aliens after the transformation in this fight.

There was one warrior class that ate the fruit and transformed into a mutated warrior class. It looked like the stronger the aliens that ate the fruit, the weaker the effect. Then again, the one producing that fruit was only an elite class alien, so they would definitely not surpass the mutated warrior class.

Even so, with this number, Nathan would be in trouble.

"..." Nathan took a deep breath. No matter how reckless it looked, the reasonable choice was to fight.

It looked like he had no choice but to follow what his battle-addict familiars wanted.

"Come out! Kun, Nidhogg!"

Nathan summoned the last two familiars. Nidhogg perched on top of the mountain, his size causing a small landslide on the side.

On the other hand, Kun's cry echoed from above the ash cloud.

"Kun, Orochi. You two will use whatever you have to defeat that land octopus. Qilin, you are to assist Fenrir. His opponent was tricky, so do whatever you need to do.

"Mae, Jinwu, Nidhogg. All of you shall go on a rampage. Kill as many aliens as possible. Mae, you especially need to watch out for the transformed aliens."

"Understood!" Seven familiars received their orders.

Anubis was confused. He thought he would also play a role. In fact, he was expecting to be asked to take care of the transformed aliens instead of Mae.

"What do you want me to do?" Anubis asked. Although the obvious choice was to support everyone from behind and focus on healing them, considering the battle this time was extremely tricky, it looked like Nathan had a different plan.

"Your job is to protect me for five… No, three minutes. Also, give me your blood, preferably that has a connection to 'Death.'"

Anubis was confused.

Nathan hadn't gathered all the items to single out the familiar, but he had a substitute that could become a replacement. He didn't like to do it this way, but he had no other choice.

"I'm going to summon my next familiar here!"

"!!!" Anubis was dumbfounded. Nathan didn't waste any time and started drawing the summoning circle on this small flat land.

"Dig them up, Anubis!" Nathan shouted.

"Ah!" Anubis summoned the five guardians. The warrior dug up the lightning stone with his sword.

Anubis closed his eyes for a moment, trying to condense his blood and infuse his divinity. Although he was not the god of death like Osiris, his divinity was still related to it.

Nathan, on the other hand, focused completely on the summoning circle. Once he completed it, Nathan cut his own palm and let his blood drop.

This was the last trick he had. He thought he could summon his familiar properly, but he had to bait the familiar with his blood, specifically the karma within his blood.

"Anubis!"

Anubis gathered the condensed blood in his mouth and spat it out. "There! That's the condensed blood infused with my divinity."

Anubis felt a bit weak because of Nathan's request. Fortunately, he could stabilize himself.

Nathan then threw the flame crystal and the lizard corpse into the summoning circle.

"Raa!" An alien suddenly reached the top, but it was cut down by the assassin guardian.

Anubis looked around, noticing that a lot of aliens went past Mae, Nidhogg, and Jinwu. Still, he said, "Leave your protection to me. I will make sure you can finish it without any distractions."

Nathan nodded. Since everything had been prepared, Nathan poured his ena into the summoning circle.

"O' Miracle of the World, Divine Being of Summoning, please use my body as the beacon and grant the beloved being your passage. By my name, Nathan Reckmoon, heed my call and come forth to this world, the great being of another world.

"I call upon you, the mighty god who governs the heavenly fire and lightning, the god of twins, monsters, death, misfortune, sickness, and deformities."

Nathan was so focused on his summoning that he didn't notice what was happening around him, especially the one above him.

"!!!" Anubis widened his eyes when he sensed something from above. When he turned around, he saw Nathan's hair was rising.

'This is… lightning?' Anubis gasped and raised his head. There was a flash of lightning in the ash cloud.

He had stopped the aliens from ever reaching Nathan, but he never thought the one he should be worried about was not the aliens but the natural phenomenon.

'It hasn't been 30 minutes…' Anubis panicked as he rushed back and shouted, "Watch out, Summoner!"

A bolt of lightning fell down and struck Nathan.

Boom!
