Chapter 1275: Bullying
Fenrir activated his Gigantification. He rushed toward the alien as the latter sent forth many of its roots and branches.
"Heh!" Fenrir smirked and activated his Force Field, the new ability he devised due to his new form.
The force field crushed the branches and roots, allowing Fenrir to move forward without any resistance.
On the other side, all eight heads moved forward. They swirled around, avoiding some branches and roots that failed to pierce his skin.
However, the plant type alien wasn't that easy to bully. It sent forth its concentrated branches as well. They pierced through both the force field and the hide.
"Heh!" Fenrir smirked and avoided them. Some managed to graze him, but not a single one stabbed him.
On the other hand, Orochi simply changed his direction, not letting the concentrated branches stop him. He continued like a snake on a branch.
To stop them, the alien first tried to distract them by scattering the remaining of its branches and roots toward other familiars.
Nathan simply looked at the battle without saying anything.
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
All the branches and roots suddenly hit a wall. A hexagram formed in front of Mae, Nathan, Qilin, and Anubis, blocking the attacks.
"You won't be able to do anything!" Fenrir gathered his power in his mouth before spitting an Absolute Bullet from his mouth.
Orochi did the same thing and released a poison breath from all eight heads at the same time.
Unfortunately for them, they underestimated the plant alien a bit too much. The plant itself was similar to a full-grown weeping fig.
Earlier, thanks to Nathan's Spatial Collapse, it suppressed the leaves, but nothing suppressed it anymore.
The leaves actually became a shield for the plant. It dispersed the absolute force and stopped the poison from reaching its core.
They even regenerated, meaning no matter how much they used their power, they couldn't reach its core.
This was the true power of an elite class alien. Even though they had been surrounded, the divine beasts were still having a hard time.
Sadly for the alien, it was fighting divine beasts, not just normal beasts.
The moment they saw the power of the leaves, the flying beasts trio took action.
Jinwu flapped his wings, sending a wave of sun fire. "Sun Flare."
"Chaos Breath." Nidhogg also let out his fire.
If these two attacked individually, they would probably get the same result. But Peng was there. His wind from the beginning was an element that had the power of harmonization.
When he let out his tornado breath, the tornado gathered the chaos fire and the sun fire together. With the quick spin, the two fires fused into a single attack.
The plant tried to block it, but the flame erupted and turned into a massive flame pillar that rose to the sky, engulfing the plant.
A hexagram appeared in front of Fenrir and Orochi, protecting them from the fire blast.
When the flame pillar died down, they could see the scorched alien. Half of its leaves were gone and were having trouble regenerating.
The alien's power was weakened quite a bit, but it was still alive.
Both Fenrir and Orochi knew this was the time to take their opponents down.
And Anubis was the one leading that attack.
Anubis turned into his humanoid form as a massive golden scale suddenly formed in the air and fell to the ground.
The scale tipped once and shot out a golden light. The alien tried to stop it by gathering the roots, but Fenrir let out his absolute force and paved the way for the golden light.
The moment the golden light hit the alien's body, the latter realized that its regenerative power was weakened. In fact, the power contained in each root had been diminished.
"Go for it, Orochi!" Anubis shouted.
"!!!" Orochi didn't know what it was, but Anubis must have done something that made him confident. Orochi gathered his poison breath one more time and shot it toward the core.
The remaining leaves tried to protect it, but due to Anubis' power, it was barely regenerating. And finally, the poison breath reached the alien's body.
"Ooo!" The plant produced another sound. It was trying to call other aliens in the area, but to no avail. They had brought all the aliens to this place, so even if they wanted to help, they couldn't.
Nathan knew that he was just bullying at this point. An elite class alien could probably take him on, alongside Fenrir, Anubis, and Nidhogg, by itself.
In this way, an arcane level summoner would definitely win against an elite class alien. However, the biggest advantage the alien had was its subordinates. With their numbers, the other familiars had no choice but to stop them, leaving only one or two familiars with their summoners.
Then again, the number of familiars Nathan possessed and their qualities were much higher compared to the rest of the summoners in this world. It allowed him to corner the elite class alien with a lower number compared to other summoners.
Nathan recognized this might not be a win he could take pride in, but it was still considered a win.
However, even Nathan might have underestimated an elite class alien.
Even though it knew it was going to die, it wouldn't give up.
Numerous branches and roots suddenly shifted toward Fenrir.
"Huh?!" Fenrir tried to push them away, but the concentrated ones broke through his force field and started wrapping Fenrir.
"What is this?" Fenrir gritted his teeth. "It's entering my head."
"!!!" Nathan raised his eyebrows while Mae noticed the powerful fluctuation of mind ability.
"Not good. Master. It's trying to take over Fenrir's mind to turn him into its ally." Mae shouted, warning Nathan.
Nathan wanted to make his move to help Fenrir, but Anubis, in his humanoid form, simply ran toward Fenrir.
"Don't you worry, Summoner. We are divine beasts."
Hearing such a confident claim was definitely reassuring, thinking that Fenrir could resist the mind ability.
But Anubis continued with an unexpected response. "Because I know how tough we are, we can do this."
Anubis punched Fenrir in the face with everything he had.
"Gaaahhh!" Fenrir screamed as his body was knocked down.
