SSS Ranked Dragon King: My Innate Ability is Unbelievable.

Chapter 129: Back on the road

' We should arrive at the county within a day or two if we continue traveling at our current pace.' Su Ping thought to himself while sitting in the coachman's seat, staring into the horizon filled with a seemingly ever stretching dirty road and vast grassy plains and vegetation on both sides.

Another day soon went by in a flash, when night reached, Su Ping stopped the caravan to allow the horses to regain their strength and nourish themselves.

Staring at the exhausted horses, Su Ping wished for nothing more than to be able to summon undead mounts so he wouldn't have to stop during their travels.

Su Ping sighed before stepping off the cart and having the undead form a wide encirclement around them. Melinda and the kids then got off from the back. Mel and Sal were eager to stretch their legs after being stuck in the cart all day, but they didn't go farther than the undead encirclement.

By now, the both of them had gotten used to the sight of the undead, and although some of them looked scary, they weren't scared because they knew their father was more scarier and would always come to their rescue.

Melinda smiled at her children who were finally acting like the kids they were, she was a bit worried that some of these knew changes would be too hard for them to accept, but it seemed that they only served to make them even more stronger than before.

" Sweetheart, let me help you with that." Melinda felt a pair of warm scaly hands wrapping around her waist from behind and pulling her closer, her mood brightened when her husband kisses her from behind before snatching some of the equipment she help in her hand then heading off to start a fire for the night.

Su Ping didn't use the lighter he had collected from Melinda but started a fire with the pieces of wood and charcoal he had collected from her, plus a spark of dark flame.

The purple black flame didn't persist but turned into a bright golden yellow flame after igniting the wood and charcoal. At the same time, his wife came over with the ingredients she had already prepared before hand. Not long afterwards they prepared a meal on the flames.

Melinda called over her kids, Mel and Sal who smelt the mouthwatering aroma of cooked meat, rushed over without delay. And so, the family of 4 sat next to the fire, laughing and eating. The scene looked warm and sweet even with the presence of the draconian and undead in the background.

After the meal was done, Mel and Sal began to feel sleepy. Melinda and Su Ping decided to call it a night, they offer the fire before carrying them into the cart, where they all slept together, cuddling with each other till they fell asleep.

Su Ping smiled watching them all enjoy their slumber. His eyes filled with warmth and affection, he didn't trust the undead completely to protect them without fail, especially after that monster tide incident.

He wasn't sure if they were any stragglers of if the beast tide had broken into different swarms before meeting them, so he decided to stay up all night but for Su Ping who's eyes and heart felt satisfied watching his beautiful wife's face facing his as she slept, it wasn't a form of torture or duty but a secret win for him.

The next morning, their group was back on the road again. After traveling from dawn till noon, Su Ping's eyes brightened when he saw a small black dot in the distance. Mel and Sal popped their heads out from behind him when they heard his sudden laughter asking what was wrong. But their eye's also brightened when their father told them that the black dot was their destination.

" Daddy, are we going to live there." Sal asked with obvious enthusiasm.

" It looks so small though?" Mel tilted her head and said.

" It's not small my little girl, it only looks small because we haven't reached their yet." Su Ping gently ruffled her cute little hair.

After a few more hours, they finally arrived on the road into the city. Su Ping had never seen a working civilization as large as this, having seen only the village. His eyes were filled with intrigue when he saw countless people going in and out of the city, some on carts, some looked like adventurers, while some resembled honest merchants.

Su Ping led the carts to join a line, he had already learned that for one to enter any city, they needed to pay a corresponding toll, like some form of tax, which he was ready to do but he suddenly noticed that their caravan was attracting a variety of gazes, some filled with apprehension, some amazement, so on and so on.

Only now did Su Ping realize that the multiple undead guarding them were like a walking spectacle.

" Next!" Su Ping couldn't think much because the group Infront of them had made their way into the city and it was now his turn.

The toll man was an enforcer knight, Su Ping could instantly decipher his Lvl 1 Rare tier status. The enforcer knight looked Su Ping up and down as well as his caravan, his eyes squinting slightly.

" So your a necromancer huh..." The enforcer knight muttered beneath his breath.

" State your reason for coming and drop a toll of 1 silver coin."

" I'm here to sell some wares." Su Ping who was already prepared before hand, tossed the man a silver coin.

The enforcer knight instinctively caught the coin before staring at Su Ping suspiciously. This was the first time he'd heard of a necromancer selling wears, didn't they all work with corpses instead? So how come this one was here with wares to sell.

" Don't tell me those carts are filled to the brim with corpse's." The enforcer knight blurted out unconsciously, eye's widened.
